Hot caramel latte
Krishna K.

This local restaurant is a simple breakfast and brunch place with amazing view with reasonable prices in the hotel zone. We found this place when I was craving for Tortas for the breakfast. I got the perfect torta with eggs and generous amount of cheese. The dipping sauces and salsas are home made and really good better than few of the restaurants I tried in the hotel zone. One sauce in particular the spicy avocado sauce is really good I had my torta dipped in this sauce. We also tried their cheese quesadilla, it is prepared with home made tortillas with bean sauce on the side and we got few veggies as well. Lattes are must try, we ordered dalgona and caramel latte it is very refreshing with added cinnamon powder on top. Perfect ambiance by the water and the interiors have green walls. The service is really fast and very responsibe as well.

We were walking down the hotel strip & met some folks that told us to try Torta Brava. We ate here twice & it was fantastic! We loved the tortas. We tried the breaded pork & breaded chicken tortas. They are served on this delicious soft bread with sliced tomato, sliced onion & shredded lettuce. They have a variety of sauces to slather on the tortas. We really like the chipotle sauce. It's really a yummy treat especially with an ice cold Corona with half lime squeeze. Oscar was our server all three times we visited. Great guy! We did not get to see Buch, the resident pelican. But we hope to see him next year. We will definitely be back for some more delicious tortas. The owners are super nice too.

Delicious food! Amazing service, great location and a glorious vista! Must try this place!

Views

I love this place for breakfast, the tortas are really good and the smoothies are so big they are hard to finish. I gave it 4 stars because their coffee if rather weak. The servir is very attentive and nice view.

Try the molletes, I added an egg.

Amazing service and view. Delicious spot for coffee and a bite. The coffee was dusted with cinnamon. Great value

Hamburguesa especial! Yummy!

In the past this place has always been a staple for us, but each year we go we like it a little less. This year majority of the group was disappointed in the entire experience from the service to the food. To start, the service was lacking compared to what we get at other local restaurants nearby. Our servers did not frequently come back to ask if we needed anything and we were constantly having to ask to get our waters refilled. The drinks are good, but nothing we can't get elsewhere. Half of our group enjoyed (but not loved) their food and half did not enjoy. My SO and I split the al pastor meal. In the past we have loved this, but this time it felt like they rushed to make it and the flavors we remembered just weren't there. It was still good, but I think it could have been better. I do love the churro cart here, but you can get good churros several other places. Overall, this place has gone downhill in our opinion, and for the price it isn't worth it when there so many better options close by. I'm sure we will be back, but I think we might skip a year stopping here.

It's huge, as far as presentation it's not very fancy, it was tasty but as large as it was you'd think it had more alcohol to offset the size. But it did not. My wife ordered the aguachile with octopus. I ordered the Tuna Burger, and we got the steak quesadillas as an appetizer. My wife said she would give her aguachile a 3.8 out of 5. I thought the tuna burger was very tasty. Basically they took a tuna steak and put it between a hamburger bun. I can't really compare it to a regular meat burger. But on a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 7. It came only with lettuce and tomato, but it had flavor enough. The quesadilla's were good, but nothing special, I'd say they were comparable to any you get at an average Mexican restaurant in the states. We came here because of the high ratings. Maybe we ordered the wrong things to try, I thought everything was good, but nothing that was so good it made me want to hurry back.

I had the skirt steak tacos and my friend got fish tacos, We also ordered a frozen margarita and mojito that were huge!!!!! They are not pushy to get you in and out like other places. Will definitely be back

Many of the dishes have strange ingredients that the regular gringo hasn't heard of, which makes this even more exotic! I consider myself a mexican food expert, to some degree, and they're serving dishes that are so inventive, so wild, so fresh, so delicious! The dining area is split between a covered outside area, and seating on the grass overlooking the lagoon. Be careful, there's alligators in there! The service was fantastic- the waiter was patient, spoke English, and made excellent recommendations. I got fish with peppers, octopus ceviche, and some mezcal, followed by a honey and anise Mayan drink. All of which were delicious! My dining companion had a strange pepper with some fish- also nom! Coming here was like a history cuisine lesson, mixed with delicious food, wonderful scenery and a pleasant meal! My favorite part of this place is the artwork when you come in. They've got a Mayan god in a cenote at the doorway that just is amazing!

We had been walking in the area earlier that day and made a plan to come back for dinner. When we arrived there were a lot of people but we were seated immediately. Martin was our waiter and he was great. There were a few large screen TVs playing sports. There was live music. A lot was going on but it really worked. People were enjoying themselves and the wait staff was friendly and talkative. I ordered shrimp fajitas and my husband ordered the mole. He always orders mole. The meals were very good. We ordered a mango margarita and Tecate. The margarita came with a tehine rim. I just wiped it off. That is becoming so popular. I decided to indulge in the banana dessert and I am glad I did. It came with a show. That was fun and the dessert was delicious. We were there earlier in the evening and we saw many couples and families. I'm sure the place gets a little more livelier as the night goes on. If you are in the area, this is a good place to eat and enjoy your time in Cancun.

Everything is surprisingly (for Cancun) priced affordable. My enchiladas were about $12. I would happily return here! So much fun!
