    Bomb salsa

Absolutely insanely good al pastor tacos! My favorite on the island, hands down. Little tables out front right on the corner. Super friendly owners/servers. Big glasses of aguas frescas. But the al pastor is *chef's kiss* Tacos are 25 pesos which is amazing. I think it's the best deal ever! This is one of the things I miss most when I go home... no one does it better! Do yourself a favor and put the habanero/onion/pineapple salsa on them. Thank me later.

Best food we've found on the Island so far!! If you go to Isla Mujeres and you looking for great food at good price look no further!! It's just a small little place with a few tables but it's really good. We got the green or verde enchiladas & they were so good. Then we got two burritos- a shrimp & a pastor- again both were delicious. If there was a spot like this back home where we are from we would definitely frequent it. We also got two aqua Frescas- one was watermelon & it was great. The other Fresca was called Bali juice- my wife loved it. Ultimately if you're looking for a very impressive hole in the wall you found the spot. Come see for yourself! Happy eating!!

This place is amazing. Pancakes - 3.5/5. Eggs cooked to perfection, and you've never seen spongier pancakes. The Heinz maple syrup leaves something to be desired, though, and it tastes better with strawberry jam. Enchiladas Suizas and the chilquiles, both - 4.5/5. That green sauce is the bomb. I could drink that stuff. Beef burrito, asked to be cooked tres cuartos (3/4, or medium rare, even though the math doesn't make sense to me) - 5/5! Piping hot with molten cheese oozing out - got this three days in a row. MANIAC - strawberry, banana, and granola licuado (smoothie) that's just mind-blowing. Also: HUGE. Like 32-40 oz. huge. Ask for hielo molido (ice blended) and definitively get this. 5/5 But it gets better: Al pastor birria taco with grilled pineapples and pineapple salsa: Holy crap, were the words out of my mouth. Joseph, Mary, and Chuy, why can't all tacos be this good!? 6/5. 15 pesos each and available from 3:30 PM to 9 PM each day. I had two yesterday at two different times, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get four today for dinner. The staff here is also super, super sweet. Elena and her cousin Esteban as well as the three other family members are so hard working and sweet. Ugh, melt, my heart, like the cheese in our burrito and over our enchiladas. Definitely one of my top three places on the island!

Al Natural is Isla's hidden GEM! Small, street side and run by a Delicious Family! BEST pastor tacos around: pork and pineapple stacked, slathered and slow roasted for hours = life changing! The aqua freska (fruit water) is refreshing after a day at the beach. We couldn't stay away! Generous portions, super fresh ingredients, #1 service Our Island FAVORITE!

These were THE BEST tacos! We loved the fish tacos. The service was great and the staff is super friendly. These were also on the cheaper side of tacos. We enjoyed eating here three nights, and actually ditched our fancy dinner to return to Al Natural for more tacos! Try the pineapple salsa- ITS AMAZING!

We love it!! Best Gringas on the island. And the service is wonderful. Esteban took good care of us as always. He is so nice and treats us like family. It is a family business and they are a great family. Just one street over from the main busy strip. We came here many times on our trip!

The veggie enchiladas was my favorite, some of the best I've ever had. Also ordered the oasis drink and it was amazing! On top of that it's a family owned business and they are the sweetest people. 10/10 recommend

Wow, incredible al pastor! My wife loved the al pastor quesodilla The tacos were great! The hot pineapple salsa was wonderful. The watermelon water was goooood. And only 15 pesos per taco! We had the chicken quesodilla today, more than enough for 2

It's a small shop with tacos that you will remember! This spot is very inviting and on the back side of the tourist spots which I enjoyed because the food is prepared carefully and served kindly. The family here was very fun to talk to and managed to survive the pandemic. Wishing them the best and hoping they keep serving quality food with care. Get the veggie enchiladas and oasis to refresh on a hot summer day

This spot is a local cheap eat. I prefer cheap local eats. In the touristy island area, it's nice to find. Only 4 tables outside. Limited inside but woah! Great breakfast and coffee. Two days on a row. The service is with a smile. They are opened late and everything smells wonderful. Support the small places. Oh!, and They have espresso.

This is our favorite restaurant on isla. The quality, flavors and price are hard to match.

She was walking us a little towards the back, but since it was my first time to Isla, I wanted to people-watch, so I asked about a table up front. As soon as we headed over, I saw why she passed it - it was right next to the saxophone player! Thank goodness his volume level was perfect! Just loud enough to be heard over the crowds walking down the 'lane' out front and the restaurant diners' chatting. But not so loud that we 3 couldn't chat. We loved it! Now these two can EAT - and love to try everything on the menu, whereas I tend to eat smaller portions. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were fantastic - huge pieces of shrimp, so good! The lobster mac n cheese is so good, I would have loved to bring a big container of it home with me! The restaurant is very busy but very clean and tables are well organized for maneuvering a quick trip to the restroom before leaving. Our server, Maylen was attentive and pleasant. The bar area, facing the street, looked like a lot of fun, I'll have to try it next time!

Like many, we don't like to hit up places on vacation more than once but we ended going to this…read moreplace three times!!!! Here are the top three reasons why you should go here multiple times. 1)The food. All homemade and perfectly portioned. The guacamole and cheesy dish was the best appetizer I've ever had. I was pretty full with just that. Even the chips are homemade. For dinner we ate tacos and a quesadilla, both solid and eaten quickly. Earlier we got an omelette and it was perfect with plenty of sides. 2)Price. We two appetizers, two entrees and drinks and it cost about 300 pesos. That's 15 bucks for us Americanos. If you walked about ten steps across the street, you would pay for the same food at about triple that price. 2)People. So this place does not have fancy music, TVs or even nice chairs. It's simple, clean and family run. They were always super nice and quiet, never pushing anything but still attentive to our needs. I hope you enjoy this place as much as we did.

Because we had been on the resort for the majority of the time, we were on the hunt for an authentic taco stand on the island. After passing what seemed like 100 tourist trap restaurants, we walked right up to this place. One look at the handwritten menu and quaint, outdoor kitchen, we knew we had found the place. The menu featured various tacos, empanadas, ceviche, and other traditional Mexican street foods. I ordered three chicharron tacos (because I'm obsessed with fried pork), while my bf ordered an al pastor, a chorizo, and a chicharrón taco, along with three empanadas. The food was made fresh, so there was a bit of a wait, but not too long. Man oh man, was it worth the wait. I honestly wasn't even hungry, but couldn't pass up the chance to eat street tacos in MX. The chicharron was perfectly crispy with a nice fat-to-skin-to-meat ratio. Did I mention that the tortillas were all freshly handmade as well? Additionally, their salsa picante was just that-- picante! It was hot as Hades, which wasn't apparent from the light green color of the sauce. But try some, it's worth it. I was in Mexico for four days and these chicharron tacos were, without a doubt, the best thing I ate. Nom nom!
