I regretfully didn't take pictures, but I have to say that this was by far one of the best meals of my life. We started with both Greek and Mediterranean appetizers. My partner had a mixed kabob plate (lamb and chicken) and I had the chicken and olives. So much flavor, and the tzatziki ranks as the best I've ever had. Olivia was amazing! We've been here a week and our second and third best dishes on the island were both here. We began with the Greek appetizer selection, with fresh eggplant salad, delicious creamy tzatziki, feta and olives. It was delicious--with milder flavors than I'm used to, but a freshness that shown through. They were served with delicious Parmesan bread. Our entrees were both amazing. The chicken and olives had an incredible depth of complex flavor. We'll be returning to try it again! Stopped in here for dinner last night while we waited out the evening ferry rush back to the mainland. I was looking for a good vegetarian spot and this fit the bill. It is owned by an Israeli couple and very authentic. Falafels were textured and crunchy, spanakopita was perfect in every way. My friends and I loved Olivia's! The food and service was fantastic. The main dining area was surrounded by lush flora & fauna. Definitely had some Tulum vibes. They are cash only, but this didn't stop us for a moment. I also felt as if the prices were reasonable for the portions. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others. read more

Where to start?! I came here 10 years ago and this was the ONE place I wanted to take my mom & two best friends. So freaking good and so many veggie options for my vegetarian friend! Server was fast and friendly, food was delicious and fast - after being disappointed the night before this was refreshing - if you are on Isla Mujeres - you MUST GO!!! Cash Only. I have been coming here for at least 8 years, possibly more. Between myself, family, and friends we have never had a bad meal. The service is always incredible and the food is over the top flavorful. My husband and I came here as a date night while on a family vacation and it was AMAZING. We were told multiple times it is the best restaurant on the island and I think I can agree. The food was amazing as was the service. We got the hummus, chicken and olives, and Short Ribs. If we get to go back to Isla Mujeres we will definitely be back to Olivia's. read more

This is definitely one of the BEST restaurants on the island. The service was great they sat us down promptly in the quaint garden. It is dimly lit with lights and full of plants and grass palapas. The food here is amazing !! If you want meat definitely come here ! The short rib and chicken and olives are the best items on the the menu but, you definitely cannot go wrong with what you order. Delicious Mediterranean menu. Lovely quiet location with lots of plants. Candle lit atmosphere. We had the hummus and flatbread for an appetizer. Very good. We had the cosmopolitans, minty lemonade for the kids and Caipirinhas with Brazilian rum was so good. For meals we ate falafel bowl, chicken shawarma wrap (huge!), short ribs and mashed potatoes (very comforting), beef and chicken kabobs, meatballs in a tomato sauce and the meat Pastilla. All enjoyed the meals. The wait staff was very kind and timely. Like many places on the island, they only accept cash which is just not as convenient as card. read more

Incredibly tasty food with a wide variety of Mediterranean cuisine to please every palate. We had the chicken kebab, the spinakopita and the mussaka and they were all delicious. Drinks were good and the baklava was cooked perfectly and not too sweet. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food. Service was friendly and prompt. We shall try again when we're back in Isla. read more

We really enjoyed our meal at Olivia's. One note is that there were several signs that said they only took cash (which might have scared some diners) but when we asked, they noted that they recently began taking credit cards (our trip was in August 2024). We have dined here on a number of occasions while visiting Isla Mujeres staring back in 2012. Based on previous good memories we decided to come back on this trip. We were not disappointed!! We really like the atmosphere and good service. The hummus is outstanding. Since my wife and I are gluten-free, they have us cucumber slices instead. Last time we were here I ordered the Falafel with a side of chicken skewers, delicious. This time we are ordering the Shawarma bowls. This is definitely a place we would recommend to others and we will be back again ourselves. read more

Between the two options 6:30 and 8:30 we chose the later. The have a cute outdoor seating area but unfortunately they didn't have any tables available for outside. The tables inside are close to to the kitchen so it's a bit toasty. As for the service, I can't complain about anything, our server as well as the restaurant owners(maybe) we're checking on us frequently. For appetizer we got the Greek tapas and it was really good. My fav was the bread, feta cheese and the eggplant side. We ordered the Shishlik, Mossaka and short rib. The shishlik came with three sides and pita bread and it was really yummy. The chicken was Marinated to perfection and the hummus was great too. Mossaka was a small portion but one the best I've ever had. The short rib was a big portion but I didn't find anything especial about it. They have a good wine selection and some desert drink that you should definitely try. The only disappointing part was Baklava and the Tea. As Mediterranean restaurant they should do better on the tea side and the baklava was really average and over baked. The ice cream and espresso martini on the desert menu are better options. read more

To me, this is the best restaurant on the island. This is our third trip to the island and fourth time at Olivia s, with a reservation for Wed! We ordered the hot bread with olives and a salad for starters. The mixed grill was tender and juicy. My hubby had the moussaka. Leave room fir the homemade cherry ice cream. This was a gr8 surprise in a Village where all the food is very similar. Tacos, tortillas and over and over. Very little choice I must say. I don't eat much meat, but was very pleased with the choice. The Shish kabob over potatoes was very good, roasted onion along with it was just right. A chilled cabbage side worked nicely. BEST MEAL WE HAD IN ISLA MUJERES I will be dreaming about the chicken with olives and Moroccan style fish for a long time. This is an amazing Mediterranean restaurant on Isla Mujeres run by a couple of nice Israelis. The restaurant has 2 seatings, 6:30 and 8:30, so be sure to make a reservation if you want to eat here during the busy season. In the back of the restaurant is their beautiful garden where we dined, you feel like you are in your own little world back there. And then the food...WOW. The appetizers we ordered (hummus and tzatziki) came with delicious bread and pita and made the restaurant trip worthwhile alone. But then the entrees... The chicken with olives was braised so well that the chicken literally fell off the bones. Fortunately, it was sitting on a bed of couscous which sopped all the good flavor up. The same can be said for the Moroccan style fish. I'm sure everything else is good here but we are going back again and I want them both again! read more

I can not stress to you enough. EAT HERE EVERYDAY YOU CAN! One of the best meals we had and were sad we couldn't eat here our last day because sadly it is closed on Sundays. Everything....EVERYTHING we had was amazing. We hit it hard on the appetizers...tzatziki the hummus the focaccia it was all so good. And we were full so we shared a main dish which we chose the short ribs...soooooo good. We made reservation for 8:30 on a Friday for our 5th anniversary. We were sat in the beautiful outdoor garden patio. We were thankful they had a fan by our table as it was HOT! Service was fast and friendly but honstly TOO FAST ! We were in and out in 40 minutes and it was our anniversary dinner and we wanted to sit and drink and eat and enjoy. There was a super loud table of drunk woman that was annoying to the patio but not the restaurants fault. Our favorite was the Greek lasagna with beef and eggplant.... amazing! The chicken kabobs were good but nothing special. The hummus that came with the kabobs were amazing! Also nice clean bathrooms! I will come back again.
