Daughter got her usual spaghetti with a sweet red sauce. She ate the entire bowl. I ordered the filleted fish limone capers. Very Delicious. Fruta Del Mar for my friend & she loved it. My wife and I always stop in at least once or twice when visiting Isla. located in the center of Hidalgo Street, it is easy to find and worth to walk. I usually get the lasagna, eat half and have the rest for another meal later. My wife loved the tortellini an it too was good for two meals. Walking out the backside of our hotel, we came across this gem. Preface: my son is a pizza, plain bread, chicken nuggets eating 9 year old. We ordered the Bruschetta (ahhmazing!) A bacon and cheese pizza (omg!) And the pasta carbonara (so darn delicious) my son tried everything. My husband and I were in shock. He could not stop eating and trying everything...and neither could we. Probably the best carbonara I've ever had. They serve fresh bread basket with the olive oil and vinaigrette dip. So, let me tell you something, we were just in Sorrento, Positano and Rome, Italy and these Italian's here on the island of Mujer's can beat any dish that we had in Italy any day of the week - hands down..!!! The Burrata cheese was out of this world fresh and creamy. Then, their bread SO delicious! We had the Pesto pasta - my all time favorite - O.M.G - amazing. I am unsure why on my seventh visit to the island, I finally made it to Mama Rosa. This place is absolutely amazing. They take really good care of you and welcome you from the minute you come in. They give you a nice little basket of bread and if you ask for it they'll bring you some olive oil and balsamic to dip it in. We came with a group of four so they were great they got us drinks and they got a nice bottle of wine and everybody was happy with it. I ordered the lasagna. It was out of this world. The first time I came I came with just a friend last week and I ordered the tricolor gnocchi. It was OK. I was not that thrilled but my friend had ordered the lasagna and let me have a bite. So when the girls got here I knew we had to go back and get some of this Yum Yum. So we started off with the bruschetta which was really really good and like normal bruschetta but still super yummy and then one of the girls got the salmon and the cream salmon. Excellent Italian food in the heart of Isla Mujeres. Various fresh breads with oil and vinegar to dip, the little buns with garlic topping are amazing. Chicken Alfredo, Ham tortellini with mushroom sauce and four cheese pizza were delicious. Indoor seating is air conditioned, much appreciated during August, there is outdoor seating as well. Sat inside, it was cooler. Was able to choose where we wanted to sit. Ordered the stuff mozzarella. They were good. But the chicken fettuccine Alfredo was a 10 out of 10. It was so good I wished we had left over to take back to my room. Definitely will go back at least one more time before we leave. Great service. They do take credit cards even though we paid cash. With so many restaurants to choose from on Isla I had never eaten at this restaurant before. The lady I was with had on one of her prior trips and said it was great, so we went in. It is somewhat rare to find a restaurant on Isla that has air conditioning, so after a really hot day the A/C felt great! Fresh baked bread was brought out almost immediately. The bread was good, but made even better with butter, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. We ordered bruschetta which was very good, especially with extra parmesan. I stuck with my usual, Spaghetti Bolognese. Had a choice between freshly made pasta, or dried. While I really love fresh pasta, it sometimes leaves me with a very heavy feeling. So, I went with the dried. Worked out great on what was a very hot night. The Bolognese was an 8 on this night. With a bit more of the excellently flavored sauce, would've been a 9. And, on to the lasagna. I was told it was great so I took a bite, or three. Have to give it a strong 9. Think it would have been a 10 with freshly grated parm on top. Seemed we were one their first customers for dinner so the place was not packed. We had at least 3 different people waiting on us at different times, all working seamlessly. So, service was excellent! Atmosphere was fine. As I said above, the air conditioning made a huge difference in our experience on what was a hot and muggy day and night. There was no lasagna left to take back to the hotel, but I did take roughly half of the Bolognese back and put it in the refrigerator. Made for a great breakfast!! It may seem strange to eat spaghetti for breakfast, but I've done it since I was a kid. Think, cold pizza. It's good! Would return anytime, and recommend to anyone. read more

This is the best restaurant on the island from my experience Including the food, service and ambience. We have been many times and can't wait to go back! Last night we enjoyed lobster ravioli and Caesar salad. Some of our favourites are the gnocchi stuffed with blue cheese and seafood linguine, aling with all their salads! Such a great dining experience. I recommend sitting outside if you want to enjoy some of the street performers and traffic as well as a European city vibe with the lights. The lobster ravioli was the best I have ever had. Their homemade breads are awesome and they bring a basket of assorted breads, the focaccia is the best!
