READ BEFORE YOU GO! As far as Isla pizza goes, Mike's is very good. But, they recently moved. So if you are looking for it at their old address (Av. Perimetral Ote. S/N 77400), you won't find it. I know where to go but, unfortunately, I can't tell you the new address. It's at the corner of Calle Paseo de las Aves and Calle Macabi. What I will do is screenshot the location while standing in front of it and maybe that will help you find it. They do deliver if you don't want to pick it up. TWO PRO TIPS: First, They only take cash and second, like many places on Isla, they will screw you if you are paying with American dollars. They will take it but their 'conversion rate' is high. Do yourself a favor and pay with Pesos. Now, as far as the pizza, like I said, its pretty good. It's a long way from the best I've ever had but it is one of the better pizzas on Isla. I don't think you'l be disappointed if you order it. Bottom line - Good pizza. Pay with Pesos if you can to save money. The address listed as of 4/1/25 (Av. Perimetral Ote. S/N 77400) is NOT correct. Keep in mind this was the day after Tropical Storm Helene hit the area. We ordered, for delivery, the Mike's Famous Stuffed Pizza and cannoli. They didn't have the cannoli but what would you expect after a storm? I also asked if they could deliver ice, as we really don't want to head. Our guy delivered, on time, with ice! Awesome food and good customer service! The food is made with fresh ingredients and that makes a ton of difference. The fresh leaves of basil on the pizza took the flavor up several notches! The mussels were the best I've EVER had hands down! There was tons of garlic and other 'secret' spices visibly in the bowl. They don't skimp on the good stuff here! Definitely a must try if you're on the island and want some GREAT Italian food! It's away from the busy, touristy strip and has outdoor seating to enjoy the weather and the view. First time here on Isla. When pulling up we kind of was like WTF. Place looks like a run down shack on the side of the road at first when pulling up. As we walked in it didn't look bad at all. It's a walk up window to place orders and has tables out front to eat. The owner Mike was there and he's a white guy that speaks English!!!! They also had another white guyplaying the guitar singing classic rock. In English of course. We walked up to the counter and looked at everything in the back. It was all very clean. The girls there making pizza were very polite even though they didn't speak English. We ordered the Pizza Mike Stuffed pizza. Figured if it was named after the owner it should be good. Also ordered the Cesar Chicken Salad and Mozzarella Sticks. We got 4 Garlic knots as well. First the Garlic Knots came out with a cup of sauce. They were very very good. The sauce was excellent. Then the Mozzarella Sticks and Salad. The Mozzarella Sticks I'm sure are frozen ones, but they was decent. The salad I was kind of worried about ordering but it was very fresh and the dressing was very good. Then came out the pizza. Let me start by saying I don't really care for stuffed pizza I'm more NY style guy. The flavors of the pizza was on point!!! Just not crazy about a lot of dough. That's also why I don't do deep dish. All the ingredients in the pizza was fresh (and a lot of them) and I ordered extra cheese and boy did they!!!! Mike came out several times to wait on us and others and he's a super nice guy. Everything I ordered was 54.00 dollars. They take CASH ONLY. USD or Pesos. I will say eating on the side of the road that close to traffic was interesting. Pizza Mike could just as easily call himself Pasta Mike as he makes an absolutely fantastic Lobster Alfredo. It's decadent but not too gloppy and stick-togethery, with a creamy taste that doesn't overwhelm the very generous portions of fresh and perfectly seared lobster bits. I've got a salty palate so I had to sprinkle on a bit but then I was in Alfredo heaven! If you really want to taste joy in food form though I'd recommend snagging some meatballs on the side and chucking them right into the Alfredo pasta. It seems pretty sinful but it was by far the most memorable and tasty dish I ate out on Isla Mujeres. There was enough that I got to take some home and after sitting around a bit the flavors bloomed to the point of transcending all ideas of how delicious pasta could be. When visiting Isla Mujeres, that most common crave is the Mexican cuisine, rightfully so however if you like pizza, which I would assume is most humans on Earth, GO HERE! We had the best experience - from the ordering to the nicest ladies ever, to the guy who was sitting across the street (which appeared to us that he was simply monitoring the place - maybe regarding security; maybe a silent partner/investor or just a nice guy who loves to watch the world go by....one pizza customer at a time), to the delicious food outcome. We loved the salads! We loved the pizzas. It was a party of four and we decided to order two of each so we can share with each other. The ambiance was zen; the decor is simple but inviting; the service was super kind and welcoming; the tables/chairs were casual; it's the perfect meal after a day at the beach i.e. you don't need to show up with pearls or make-up....get me drift? (SMILE) We've been going to Isla Mujeres for 12 years and in December 2021 was the first time that we discovered this venue. I am so glad we did. I like to think of myself as a pizza snob and this pizza didn't meet my expectations. I only ordered a slice (veggie). While the presentation was great, I wish it had been thinner like true NY slices. There was a lack of cheese, and the sauce was almost nonexistent. Lacked flavor, and the dough just wasn't great. The garlic knot that came with the slice however was really good. Maybe if I had gotten an entire pizza the experience/crust/sauce/cheese might have been different. Doubtful I'll be back. read more

Best. Customer. Service. Ever. Ordered online for pizza delivery. Waited an hour, which was expected. Pizza arrived ice-cold, which was not expected. A bit later, I responded to an email from Colleena Smithwick and told her what had happened. She asked how she could "make up for the problem." I suggested a refund. (I'd paid cash and assumed a refund would be impossible, but it never hurts to ask, right?) Within an hour, a man showed up on a scooter to deliver 282 pesos, the precise cost of the pizza. Amazing! AMAZING place we stumbled upon during our drive around the island. Mike was an excellent host and the whole experience was just perfect! We ordered a large cheese pizza which came with complimentary garlic knots. The crispy thin crust was so good and omg the combination of the sauce, spices and cheese was just perfection. We chatted it up with other guests who shared their positive experience with us. It's a quaint spot that you will not regret! We plan to make a trip back in the next day or two! Amazing real New York style pizza and garlic knots. The owner is a great guy and uses best ingredients. Best bang for your buck on the island and way better than other over priced restaurants. They also have pizza by slice so don't worry if you are making a solo trip. Due to some confusion due to language barrier the waitress heated the marinara sauce which I didn't ask for. The owner took it back and noted that they can't reheat the sauce. From this you can understand how much the owner cares about the taste of all the items on the menu read more

Pizza Mike makes very authentic New York pizza. Excellent sauce, crispy crust, just the right amount of cheese - touch of garlic and olive oil, perfect blend of seasonings. My husband and I are both from New York and were pleasantly thrilled at this meal. The other pizza on the island - including Sonny's and Rolandi's - just doesn't compare. I ordered just the plain old cheese pizza (Margherita). My husband got the Henry which adds meatballs and ricotta, plus added Italian sausage. My daughter had the Hawaiian and my son-in-law had the meat lovers with a mozzarella stuffed crust. Mike also gives you 4 garlic knots for each pizza ordered - and they are so garlicy and delicious - we polished off all 16 of them. Rave reviews for Pizza Mike all around. I had some left overs which I took with me on the plane ride home - and everyone around me was sniffing and commenting!!!! Extremely good pizza at a very reasonable price. Mike is a great host too! This one has a story behind it. It was our second day on the island and it was later in the evening. We didn't really want to go any where so we decided that we'd order something. We had saw Mikes Pizza when driving around the island and it didn't have any real warning signs that would suggest we'd have a problem. We ordered 2 pizzas and we didn't really know the address of the place we were staying at so the person I talked with over the phone asked me to send the address via WhatsApp. I gave her my cell phone # and she sent me a message. We found the address within 5 minutes of her sending the message and did not receive a response. Also over the phone they didn't give us any estimated times of arrival or cost of the pizzas. I didn't pay attention to those 2 very specific warning signs. We had seen online that Mikes pizza closed at 10pm and it was around 8:30pm when we put in the order. As the time got closer to 10pm we started to think that the pizza would not come. My wife started to make quesadillas for the family and 10pm came and went as we enjoyed ourselves. Mind you no other messages were sent to me via WhatsApp or any indication that they received the address. At around 10:45pm I received a call from Mexico. I kind of recognized the area code and answered, otherwise I screen my calls for spam, but this one I took for some reason. I could barely understand the guy but he sad something about pizza. I went to the front door and there was the pizza guy trying to deliver the pizza. He asked if we still wanted pizza and I was in shock. I told him no we didn't want the pizzas (as we ordered them about 1 & 1/2 - 2hrs ago), and that we had just finished eating a meal that we prepared for ourselves. He said "okay, but I'll have to tell the pizza place" and I said "go ahead, I'm sure Mike will want to know that it takes 2 hrs. for a pizza to arrive" and he left. This would have been a completely different review if the gal on the phone would have given us an option and told us there was a long wait time and if we still wanted to place an order. Mike's Pizza seriously is a hidden gem in Islas Mujeres!!! If you're craving Italian THIS IS THE PLACE!!! My boyfriend ordered a pepperoni pizza while I ordered my usual Fettuccini Chicken Alfredo but there was not anything usual about our delightful experience at Mike's! Before our meal we were treated to 4 over the top full of flavor garlic breads!!! Meanwhile we were reading a comic that Mike himself wrote, and had a chance to meet Mike himself!!! It wasn't too long before our food was served and again super flavorful!!! The pizza had oregano leafs which have it that special flavor! & my Fettuccini Chicken Alfredo's sauce was think and again the oregano gave it that special flavor!!! We found this spot on our last night in Islas Mujeres driving back to our hotel on a moped & what got us to stop was the wonderful smell coming from its kitchen! The location is off a road, hidden gem, but damn well worth the visit & let me tell you, your Italian cravings will be satisfied!!! Prices were extremely reasonable $380 pesos for an entire pizza, my Fettuccini Chicken Alfredo, and a Coke!!! I would say considering the quality of food in the center of the Isla Mujeres it is well worth getting out to Mike's! In the center you would pay triple for the food!!! Best pizza on Isla Mujeres by far. This is NY style. There is extraordinary spice and flavor. Spring for the stuffed crust. It is worth it. The garlic knots are piping hot and sweating delicious herbs and spices. Service seems a bit lackadaisical so don't be afraid to ask for what you want, even in English.
