The dish included a variety of greens and cucumbers, with cheese. The fish was clean and fresh-tasting with a Panko covering and included many fried cod fillets. I saved some for later. I didn't use the tartar sauce that looked a lot like a flavored mayo but the added lemon brought the fish flavor forward. For a nice treat, the fillets were placed on top of a bed of half dollar-sized potato slices (thick cut potato chips) that tasted more like potatoes than chips. Salty yum! The prices are reasonable and service quick.

The burger was $9.95 and you could upgrade to a salad for I think $2.99 instead of fries. The server was very pleasant. I ordered the burger medium well, it came out kind of browned and VERY pink in the center. I never send food back after seeing the movie 'Waiting'. I ate it and it was OK. After I ordered, one of the employees started a coughing fit that lasted about 10 min, I was hoping it was not the person cooking my food. When I went to get rung out somehow the $10 burger and $3 salad came to about $18. I think I was overcharged. I did not say anything just decided to head back to my hotel and warn people what may happen if you venture into this establishment.

My grandchildren loved it so much that they wanted to return the following day for dinner. This visit did not go as expected. Food came out cold . Had been sitting out for a while. We barely ate our food as it was nothing like the previous evening. Seemed to be very short staffed , but our server did the best she could under the circumstances. I ordered fried okra as one of my vegetables and I never received it until we were ready to leave. Server said she put the order in 3 separate times , so it sounds like they were also short staffed in the kitchen. I had decided I would never return again or go to my local restaurant very close to my house in NC. As I was paying , the cashier asked me how our food was and I told the truth. She said the store manager would want to talk to me and make things right because they pride themselves on the quality of their food and their service. I was absolutely not trying to get free food but hoped by sharing our experience that this would help the restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and kind and I had no intention of posting a bad review giving the store the benefit of the doubt that maybe this was not the usual. I had eaten there a couple of times before on visits when I was staying at the Hilton Garden next door and everything was wonderful. I have had their dinners and breakfast in the past without any complaints. This trip I was staying at a Marriott near a lot of recommended restaurants, but I chose to drive to the other side of town to go there again after I ate there the night before with my cousins and everything was great. This store has an excellent manager who seemed very upset about what we experienced. I told him what happened and he was very apologetic and insisted on comping our food. I said that was not necessary and I did not expect that , but shared my concerns to hopefully help other customers have a better experience and to be sure this location in my hometown where locals work , would do better in the future. I had no plans to post a negative review, but after this manager went above and beyond and restored my faith in Cracker Barrel, I felt it was necessary to post a good review as any restaurant can have an "off night " due to unforeseen circumstances.

Not edible at all. Waitress brought another piece but never bothered to ask if that was better or how everything was. My grilled chicken tenders were pretty good, however, the sides (corn and green beans) were fair at best. Cracker Barrel has switched to the cheapest available canned vegetables. So sad, because I used to love their green beans. Corporate will never read or listen to complaints because all that matters is money, not quality. Honestly, done with CB unless I am desperate and there is no where else nearby.

I really wanted shrimp and grits but it was going to be a wait due to the grits not being ready. I pivoted to something else. I asked not our server (who happened to be the bartender) but the person who delivered the food if there was any way to get a spot of grits whenever they were ready even if it was at the end of the meal. After finishing we were presented with a small takeout of grits which made the entire evening- they were outstanding. They recognized that they should have been ready and made up for it at the end. Nice way to tie a bow on the evening by being thoughtful. Hope to return.
