You have to love a place that features a "deviled egg of the day," though sadly they sold out not long before our arrival. They waitress felt badly so she gave us generous sample of their other homemade sides, including a zesty pimento cheese and a delicious loaded baked potato salad. The sandwiches were very good: made to order on fresh quality bread. The service was amazing: I felt as if we were welcomed into their home, and the place has a very cozy vibe. I am willing to bet the breakfast is outstanding given that this part of the country backs-up the belief that it is the most important meal of the day.

It was a lot of food!!! We couldn't resist because we aren't usually near a Pal's so we wanted to try everything. The French fries were hot and fresh, a bit on the salty side but still delicious. The seasoning they put on their fries are different from other fast food places. We probably could have gotten away with sharing the double with cheese; it's that big! Patty melt was good; it came with a sauce kinda similar to Big Mac sauce. I didn't care for the Dr Enuf but my husband liked it. It kinda has a vitamin flavor to it? Like flintstone vitamins in liquid form lol. Milkshakes were alright; great value for the amount they give. One thing to note, they don't have a dine in option; you have to eat inside your car or park and stand outside to eat. Nowhere to sit.

The dish included a variety of greens and cucumbers, with cheese. The fish was clean and fresh-tasting with a Panko covering and included many fried cod fillets. I saved some for later. I didn't use the tartar sauce that looked a lot like a flavored mayo but the added lemon brought the fish flavor forward. For a nice treat, the fillets were placed on top of a bed of half dollar-sized potato slices (thick cut potato chips) that tasted more like potatoes than chips. Salty yum! The prices are reasonable and service quick.

The teriyaki bowl was pretty good though with various flavors of the sauces and food components. Unfortunately, as i left I used the men's room and while it was clean neither of the automatic soap squirt dispensers could be coaxed into operating with any amount of prestidigitation. A particularly disturbing experience as I had followed a kitchen crew member into the men's room who had apparently gone to to take a dump. So I guess the best he will be able to do is to maybe rinse his hands prior to returning to the kitchen??? DOUBLE YUCK. I did let the bar manager know on the way out and she did leave to go look into the soap issue.
