I didn't want to read the Yelp reviews before coming here. I always want to come in with an open mind and have my own experience. I was in the area and wanted to try something new. However in this case, I really should have checked Yelp before walking in. It was pretty early when I arrived, only 2 other patrons were already seated and having their meal. The 2 front facing employees were engaged in their personal conversation, barely glanced my way to acknowledge a customer had just entered. I ordered a Patty Melt combo with Kettle Chips. The employee who took my order mentioned that I can choose from the bag of chips from the underside of the counter. I looked down and told her it was empty, she seemed surprised. But when I BENT down, I saw only less than a handful of bags that were sitting way back on the shelf. I was given a buzzer to let me know when my food was ready. It was prepared fairly quickly. When I sat down, I saw the sandwich was quite large and thick but not sliced in half. I returned to the counter and again, the 2 front facing employees were engaged in their conversation not so much looking at me to check if I had a question. I had to approach the employee who actually prepared my food for a knife to cut my sandwich in half. He smiled, apologized for the miss, and handed me a plastic knife. The patty melt tasted good. Nice and hot temperature wise. The chipotle mayo was a nice touch. The employees went to backroom and continued their conversation, their chatter was pretty hard to not listen to. And even when another set of patrons entered the building, it took them several minutes to emerge from the back to acknowledge them. Overall, my impression of their service is very poor. While, there weren't as many customers, there were plenty of things the employees could have done: 1. Restock the chip shelf 2. Have better upkeep of the dining area. The floors looks so dirty 3. Please stop having personal conversations in front of your customers, it is a rude distraction from their dining experience. read more

I love this place. I eat here about every 10 days and its always delicious. When they first opened, they were a little slow, but they got some great new people in the front that really give great customer service. I eat at 2 places at the Pinnacle, and this is one of them. The other is an upscale place that serves different food. But when I want a great sandwich served by friendly people, this is my first choice in Bristol. Try the Club Sandwich and add pickles to it. It is perfection on bread!! I've had the onion rings, fries and tots as sides and they are all excellent. Although, I have been told that the mac and cheese is also delicious, but I have not tried it. I would say the reviews from 2024 are from before the new crew came in and really changed the place. I not sure what I was expecting here but I can tell you I got a sandwich with some melted cheese. By no means would I suggest that it was the ooey gooey mess that I felt implied by the establishments name but it was good. The menu was a bit hard to understand in relation to sauces or even sides and the employee didn't seem interested in explaining or recommending anything. I'm not sure why they provide your dine in meal in a paper bag, it just seems pointless and wasteful. Sadly as mediocre as the food and service was the cleanliness and upkeep of the public areas of the restaurant need much more attention by the staff. The tables and dining area just did not appear clean and maintained, particularly the tables. This lackadaisical presentation continued into the bathrooms where they were unkept, dirty, and even the toilet was clogged to the point of overflowing. Gave it another chance. Never again. You walk in, immediately made to feel like an inconvenience. The lady at the register was THE RUDEST person I have ever encountered. We had a $7 discount card of which she applied the student discount only taking off a few dollars and calling it good enough. The food was just okay. Nowhere near good enough to make anyone a returning customer after the attitude given by the employees. By far, the WORST service in this area. The restaurant was filthy. The floors were nasty. The windows had sticky finger prints all over them. Cob webs on the ceiling. Trash on the floor behind the food counter. A spilled drink on the floor that nobody cared to clean up and the ventilation was so bad that I stunk when I left. Only two couples eating so they were not too busy to clean! I'm not sure what the rest of the people on here are referring to with bad food or bad customer service. The gentleman at the front is as warm hearted as they come and the food is BOMB. Albeit a little pricey, it's worth every dollar. They messed up my sandwich with mayo and when i told them he apologized immensely and gave us free fries and an additional burger. Place is mediocre, sandwich was barely warm. This place talks about melts but includes one piece of cheese that's basically cold. Pictures on the order menu shows something completely different. When or sing a sandwich that includes "steak" they call it beef when said with steak they said so beef, so not steak. The "beef" tastes off and the pork, definitely old and dry. The tables were filthy from previous patrons dining. The wait time to get one sandwich is on par with a sit down restaurant. If you need fast service, you are in the wrong place. They were out of forks and napkins at the drink station. It's not that hard to make sure basic dining items are available to customers. I paid $15 for the classic toasted cheese sandwich, bag of chips, fountain drink and a bottled Coke Zero. It wasn't worth it. I would encourage management to raise their expectations for employees to maintain cleanliness, speed of service and availability of items for dining. I don't expect this establishment to survive at the Pinnacle, unless they take a page out of Chick-fil-A's book for service and cleanliness. read more

I would definitely recommend trying! I went inside to order around 3pm on a Thursday and the place was very clean, quiet and slow. I ordered the cheese bacon fries (the cheese is a queso sauce) and the order came out quickly and was hot and delicious. Based on the other reviews I would probably recommend going during an off time or non weekend day for a better quality experience and would say prices are pretty fair and on par with similar restaurants like McAllisters and cheaper than Zaxby's cheese bacon fries. First time eating there today and went to order a French dip and lo and behold they were out of french dip and another sandwich so had to order a burger and the burger was only half warm, cheeses weren't even melted all the way, and burger was very plain tasting even with the carmelized onions and sauce. I couldn't even finish my burger. Not to mention the staff was not very friendly at all. She was actually very short and never said thank you or anything.When we went in, they were not even busy. In fact, there was nobody eating there. My husband's Hawaiian was just ok. Nothing special to write home about. The only thing that was good was the cheese bacon tots. After waiting for over 30 min for the doors to open back up, we finally got in the restaurant and it was very hot. The sign on the door said the staff was restocking and cleaning up, which makes no sense. The staff was very unfriendly and unprofessional. Very rude when we asked a question or asked for condiments. They had no sides like fries or Mac & cheese balls..none. After we placed our order we went to sit down in a very dirty dining area. Tables were dirty and the floor were also dirty. So I'm not sure what they were doing in the time they were closed, in the middle of the day on a Sunday. The food was decent but very pricey. I had ordered funnel cake straws, they were $6.00 for about seven of them the same size as a regular fry and if you want to dip them in sauce it's extra. Thought we would try the new restaurant at the Pinnacle, unfortunately, this was our first and last visit. We arrived around 6:30 pm for the dinner meal. The restaurant was moderately busy, but the dining area looked clean. The menu had a lot of interesting choices although the prices were higher than one would expect. My wife and I ordered hamburger-type entrees and requested that they be cooked well done. The server said that they could cook them twice if we wanted, but the patties came pre-cooked. Red flag number one. We opted to have the burgers prepared as they normally would be served by the restaurant. We also each ordered a side of onion rings. The total bill for a hamburger, a patty melt, two orders of onion rings, and one medium soft drink was over $32.00. The food was ready quickly after we ordered and was picked up at the counter in a paper bag. The two burgers were well packaged, but the onion ring orders were set on top of the other food and spilled into the bottom of the bag. Fortunately, the quantity of each order was small so there wasn't much to pick up. Both burgers had plenty of cheese on them, but a very modest amount of other condiments. They were reasonably warm but had very little flavor. The onion rings were the best thing we ordered. They were on par with the quality you might expect from a fast-food establishment but for a premium price of $4.99 a serving. I like to patronize local businesses and want to see them succeed, so I was reluctant to write this review: however, I felt compelled to share my underwhelming experience with prospective patrons.
