My friends and I ate at Cootie Brown's prior to a concert at the Paramount Theater. What a fun and vibrant place! It's very popular but it's huge with lots of parking. You walk in and there's outdoor seating with the garage doors open. It was very pleasant outside but we chose to eat indoors. The artwork on the walls is so clever and unique. Our server came over right away and took our drink order. She gave us ample time to look at the menu, which is huge with lots of different options! I ordered the half club sandwich. It doesn't come on sliced bread. It comes on some type of bun. It was HUGE. I couldn't eat it all even though it was delicious. It comes with their homemade spiral chips and they were delicious!! My friends ordered a slice of the Key Lime Pie! Wow, I got a bite and it was delicious! We all highly recommend this place and definitely plan to return in the future! We had a waiter who was awesome he was training another server. Our first visit just before noon on Thursday this last week. Parking lot was empty except for Staff in back. Just not lunch time yet as it filled up quickly. Cute perky environment they have glass garage door windows. Great breeze. This is a staple and if you miss the opportunity to go here then shame on you. While the staff in the to go area (two different people) are not super friendly, the food makes up for it. I ate here 3 times in total which is out of the norm when I am in a new area. My friend grabbed it for a pick up dinner. Tamales and the Strawberry cake. I'm a vegetarian and was hopeful about this restaurant because it had several vegetarian options. I ordered a BBQ black bean burger and side of Brussels sprouts. The server brought me a plain black bean burger. When I said the order was wrong, she brought me sauce to put on the burger, but it didn't really help it. Waitress spilled an entire cup of soda in our 10 yr olds lap, then barely got it cleaned up around our table so we were basically swimming in Dr Pepper. Kid moved seats, we probably should have just left after that but family was hungry so we ordered and then it took almost an hour to get our food. Just not the cootie browns we're used to. This was our third visit since last summer. We really enjoy bringing visitors from out of town to this little gem. Love the summer vibe from the decor. Service is fast and the staff are all friendly. My first visit here and my wife and I had high expectations based on reviews. Some were exceeded while others were not. Cootie Browns has a large parking lot and easy access. The restaurant was clean and spacious. All the staff was friendly and we were promptly seated. The menu is varied and prices are reasonable. Upbeat music and lots of windows make the place very inviting. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and my wife had the taco lunch. She said the tacos were delicious although the chips that it came with were covered with seasoning and she didn't particularly care for that. The salsa is home made and wonderful too. My sandwich was not that great. The bun was stale and the meat was not moist. Flavor was good. The home made thin chips were tasty as were the baked beans. We didn't have dessert but from what we saw, they looked amazing. We will be back but I will never have the pulled pork from here. You have to order the pumpkin pie cheesecake. This is not a suggestion, this is a call to action. If you love yourself and want yourself to consume yummy things, you will try this ASAP (mostly because it is a seasonal offering.) I wish I took a picture of it but we unfortunately demolished this dessert in 30 seconds. I would not recommend getting a cake slice. They are overpriced and also very dry. The food is just okay but it's cool how big of a menu they have. It's definitely a spot where everyone can find something that they like. Great family friendly restaurant beith a varied menu, you should be able to find something for everyone in your party. We were seated in the front section, which has large roll-up windows for those days when the weather cooperates. During our time there, I noticed a lot of carryout orders especially their pizza so it must be a good dinner choice. The two of us selected their grilled chicken breast with two sides. Let me start by saying thank you to Brynne for being so nice to us. She stayed after her normal hours to wait on us and ensure we had a great time. Now the reason for the one star. I ordered a burger and asked for it Medium Rare. The order was placed then Brynne came by and reported that burger could only be cooked to Medium Well due to being a 1/2 pound patty. The Manager (Devon) delivered our meals. At that point, Brynne asked the Manager to explain why the burger couldn't be cooked to order. He stated that cooking a burger to Medium Rare would cause the juices to soak the bun and the patty would fall apart and he wasn't willing to take that chance. He then stated that the burger as they cooked it would be just fine. And immediately walked away. I am 60 years old and am more than capable of determining how I prefer my meals cooked. Devon was rude and dismissive and didn't care to hear my comments. Wish it was a better experience during my first and now only visit there. read more

The menu seems big which always makes me question the food quality but we were pleasantly surprised to be met with some friendly staff and some delicious food. We visited almost an hour before they close and that worried us as well but we were reassured by the manager that they were happy to have us and their service proved it.
