Mediterranean wrap on sour dough.

I'm so happy a place like this exists in Bristol. I didn't want to out myself but I'm a transplant and since moving to the tri cities area I've really missed having restaurant/food options. Bistro on 6th has a great variety and delish food.

Pickle board

While headed to the airport we wanted to eat something besides airport food so we stopped here. The pickle board is a MUST! It was probably the best thing I ate while in the area. Our server was very attentive and it was super cute inside! I am already trying to figure out why i need to go back so I can go there again!

Chicken and waffles with hot honey!

Food was outstanding! We had the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese, it was aaahmazing! I had the mushroom risotto which was very tasty with the fried leeks on top, yum! My husband had the chicken and waffles just the right amount of heat tender chicken and fluffy and crisp waffle. Home fun of a meal! Our server Emma was new only 4 days but very sweet and personable. Not afraid of saying I don't know but let me ask! If we're in this area again we'd def check in here again, too many choices on the menu that sounded fabulous!

Bistro on 6th has tasty and delectable dishes for their customers to order. While dining in their beautifully designed restaurant, the menu has a great selection to choose from. Whether it be a fried green tomato BLT or chicken and waffles, Bistro on the 6th will provide their customers with great food, great service from Kelly, and a great ambiance. A must try place and a hidden gem

Champagne Pork (LOVED the delicious sauce on top!)

Really enjoyed my experience at Bistro on 6th! I found this place strolling on Yelp and was immediately excited to try it out. Turns out I was pleasantly surprised and Bistro on 6th exceeded my expectations! I came in on a Tuesday night, it was pretty quiet but Bristol is a quaint little town with not too many restaurants so I didn't think anything of it. All I was trying to figure out is if I was going to order the Champagne Pork, Steak & Potatoes, Shrimp & Grits or the Bistro Burger. When I sat down I was greeted by Tracey who was so lovely and helpful! She told me the pork was her go to and I had to try it! The pork was tender and accompanied by an out of this work champagne cream sauce with onions. The pork was over mashed potatoes and green beans. My only caveat is I wish there were more green beans with my meal bc I love my greens. The pork and mashed potato portion was perfect and left me stuffed! Even though I was stuffed I needed to take something sweet to have back in my hotel room and decided to go with their dessert special of the evening a chocolate ganache Carmel pie. Let me tell you...this was DELICIOUS! I will be dreaming about this pie. If you don't have room bring it home with you; you won't be disappointed. I also had the opportunity to meet the owner and he was the sweetest, very friendly! I loved every bite of this meal and would recommend to anyone! I cannot wait for my next visit to Bristol to try another menu item. If you haven't been here and your from Bristol or from the surrounding areas or just visiting for work like me; do yourself a favor and dine at this lovely establishment!

Low country shrimp and grits

Very calm and kicked back atmosphere. Wait staff was amazing, very friendly and welcoming; Emily & (I didn't catch the other waitress name, young blonde woman) - attentive and talkative, definitely livened the place up, made me want to come back from just their personalities alone. Food was also very good. The Cajun sauce on the shrimp and grits really sets it off. Fried green tomatoes hit the spot, a little heavy on the pimento cheese in some spots, but nothing you can't knock off when you see it. Also, the bourbon pecan pie was outstanding. If it's on the menu when you stop by, you absolutely HAVE to try it. Definitely stopping by the place every time work has me out this way. Delicious

Risotto with 4oz steak. Tasted amazing. Wish I had more steak

This grill, it appears, to be in a converted warehouse space. It is likely the whole block was a warehouse which was sectioned into separate commercial properties. It has 20' ceilings with tin ceiling tiles and nice industrial wood flooring. They have live music and karaoke nights. They have a nice selection of food. Seafood, burgers, quesadillas, wings, salads, wraps ... I tried their mushroom Swiss burger which was huge, juicy and delicious. I needed to cut it in half to figure a way to attack it and a lot of napkins. A fun fact: it is the State line grill because it is in Bristol TN but you cross the street and you are in Bristol VA! If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping in to try it out.

Sidewalks are partly covered so weather is not an issue, but crowds would make the trip more difficult. There are also several street buskers which can draw crowds, so just be aware and not in a hurry. You enter on the corner into the main seating area which is sort of separated by a hostess stand and the back of a booth. We were greeted right away and told to sit wherever we wanted. Seating is a mix of booths and tables and we selected a booth next to the window. Our server came right away and took our drink orders. There is also a board next to the hostess stand with listed specials. Looking over the menu, these were just regular menu items at regular prices. Our server returned and took our food order. The food took about 20 minutes to arrive, which was a little longer than expected. The bbq pork sandwich was dry and did not have a lot of flavor. The bun was fine but the dry meat made it harder to chew and took a lot of water to finish. In addition, the homemade chips were very crispy and salty. This plate left me parched even after drinking three glasses of water. The burger, however, was good. The meat was fairly juicy and toppings were fresh. The same homemade chips accompanied the burger and were also crispy and salty. The bathroom was in poor condition and appeared not to have been cleaned in some time. This was brought to our server's attention, who did not seem too concerned. Maybe this is a good place if you are seeking out music and alcohol, but there are many other options if all you want is lunch.

I ordered the exact same thing this time I get home and again the chicken is there, but there's no lettuce. You can practically see the entire bottom of the container. The teriyaki bowl was pretty good though with various flavors of the sauces and food components. Unfortunately, as i left I used the men's room and while it was clean neither of the automatic soap squirt dispensers could be coaxed into operating with any amount of prestidigitation. A particularly disturbing experience as I had followed a kitchen crew member into the men's room who had apparently gone to to take a dump. So I guess the best he will be able to do is to maybe rinse his hands prior to returning to the kitchen??? DOUBLE YUCK. I did let the bar manager know on the way out and she did leave to go look into the soap issue. It appears to be a light, fun, and trendy place reminiscent of the Fridays restaurants but with an updated and current atmosphere inside. Probably a good place to bring a group gathering.
