How can you be so terrible at making pizza you can't even melt the cheese. Crust wasn't even cooked all the way, potatoe wedges weren't cooked all the way either and were soaking wet. Didn't even send the drinks I ordered.... A place that gets an entire order wrong should be avoided at all cost. Many other places to go to rather then waste your time and money here for sub par food they can't even cook properly. I really debated between giving 2 or 3 . I did give 3 but this is kind of unremarkable pizza. Let me be fair, I just moved from Chicago area so I have had some great pizza. I have also traveled a bit and got pizza from all over. Now the details on why my comments. The pizza is a nice hand tossed pizza, the toppings were numerous with lots of cheese and sauce. It wasn't great pizza but very good. The Stromboli was also good, but it was a Calzone. A Stromboli isn't a Calzone: the differences are no sauce, butter and garlic, and meats. This was a Calzone as it had sauce, mushrooms, etc. The pizza roll was a Calzone without sauce and it had cheese and pepperoni. Neither was bad but it wasn't what I thought I bought. That's why I gave 3 . I can't say I will be here any time soon but give it a shot as you might feel differently. read more

Local pizza joint. We are new to the are and wanted to try the local pizza on a Friday night. We ordered take out. Meat lovers pizza. Meh. Stromboli is actually a Calzone. Very delicious. Pizza Knot is good. Hard to find if using Apple Maps. Just use a different gps. We will be back for the "Stromboli" aka Calzone. Yum! read more

Found this today and we were blown away. EVERYTHING is homemade. It's tiny...they offer delivery...and the portions are huge. It's not just about quantity...it's quality. The staff is sweet and the food is delicious...and yes...HOMEMADE. It's like they had someone's little Italian grandma in the back. Good Lord! AND...we couldn't finish our food. I had the lasagna and had a ton leftover even though I shared some with the person that I was eating with today. He had the Chicken Parmigiana sandwich and devoured that instantly. I had to threaten to kick his butt if he touched it in my fridge. The side salad was huge...and once again...this place is delicious. A quaint pizza and pasta place, this is a must-try if you haven't been here yet. Is very small inside and you will sit in what is basically the dry food and the drinks storage area within an arm's reach of the other five tables indoors. Inside and outside seating available. Pizza was very good and customer service was friendly. Only negative is that there is weird parking but other than that the environment inside was cool with a good air conditioner running and I would come back here again. read more

They make a pretty good cheese steak calzone not a large inside dining room but I usually get it to go.

A nice little hole in the wall.... our favorite! We ordered 2 salads and 2 calzones. The salads came out and were disappointing. The waitress claimed "it's a new cook and it's usually bigger". Then came the 2 calzones and it saved the day! Delicious and well sized for a small. We loved it. The sauce was quite tasty and when we asked for more, we were pleasantly surprised with a generous bowl! The waitress was sweet but forgot about us as we needed to get up to help ourselves for services, like more water and such. I want to give a 3 based on my delivery experience. I asked for a Large Cheese well done and a side of marinara (an extra purchase I was required to make to bring it up to $10 order which is fine) But what showed up was under cooked and a packet of ranch salad dressing... the driver offered no apology and blamed it on "them" But the reason I am giving 4 stars and writing this review is that is pizza was phenomenal even not cooked the way I like it. Really good sauce. The other reviews say everything is scratchmade and I don't doubt it. Really well balanced. Not too sweet. Little bit of tang. Great stuff. In a town (and region for that matter) that severely lacks any kind of edible pizza and Italian food, Italiano Cafe is the only place that fills this void. I've tried other highly recommended Italian restaurants in the tri cities region but they were lackluster. Coming from an Italian family and a city that is rich in food had me spoiled. But when I leave Bristol, Italiano will be one place I miss. The food is made fresh every time. I've had subs, pizza, appetizers, pasta, Stromboli. It's all good and reminds me of the food my Nonna would make. The red sauce should be sold in jars! The bread is fresh and delicious. Prices are cheap and portions are large, you won't leave hungry. Absolutely horrible excuse for a restaurant. Had a salad and when it was brought out it came with three covered cups of salad dressing. Two were fine, the third had a dirty napkin wadded up in it. About half way through the salad, I found a piece of plastic wrap in the salad. We had a young child with us and we ordered a lemonade for her to drink. They brought her a 16 ounce bottle of diet lemonade and no cup. My wife had the vegetable spaghetti and it was ok but with what I found in my salad and dressing, you have to wonder about what we didn't find. How this place was rated 4 1/2 stars is beyond me. Ordered delivery to my motel room. Guy on the phone was nice and respectful. The delivery lady was nice and personable. The food, well... I ordered a 10" with pepperoni and beef and 10 mild wings. The food was cooked appropriately and the temp was acceptable even though it was a delivery. First, the wings. Instead of mild, they should use the term 'bland-ish.' A couple of the wings (dry, fried) did have a hint of spice; mild at most places is regular buffalo sauce. Plus, without asking, the wings were served with ranch (not the more appropriate blue cheese). But the pizza... 10 pepperonis, a smattering of small beef chunks, loads of cheese, and little to no sauce. Quite disappointing, to say the least. read more

This little place can be hard to find. If you are not watching you will drive right past it! But they turn out some of the best Italian food you will have. I have never tried the pizza. Their cheese steaks are some of the best ever. My personal favorite is the Eggplant Parmesan. It can easily feed 2 people. Their other Italian dishes are equally as generous. Ok...I arrived in Bristol Tn later than I wanted. After getting the campsite ready, it was time to make the "Walmart Run". I got through at Walmart around 2030 hours. I wanted pizza and found a Pizza Hut across the street. It was locked down and only had drive through. I pulled up to the window and first, the lady looked like I was bothering her. I asked for a medium hand tossed meat lovers. She asked, "Pizza"??? I said yes??? She said it would be at least 45-60 minutes. So that ended that quest. I called the "Mad Italian" they stoped taking to go orders at 2030. It was 2032...Next. I called Italiano's and it was like destiny. I ordered what was their supremum pizza and it was one of the top pies I have ever had. The cheese tasted like homemade Mozzarella. Everything was proportioned to where each bite was "almost heaven". I was thoroughly and pleasantly impressed with this establishment and plan on this being a regular visit when in town. Now, a sign on the front window stated"Best Cheesesteak in Town". Next trip, and hopefully before I leave, we will see about that!!! read more
