My Alfredo sauce covering the inside of my bag..

We LOVE Alfredo's. It's a great restaurant with excellent food. However, we just got home with our order and it was packaged SO poorly. Everything was a greasy mess, my sauce leaked all over the bag, the garlic knots had NO garlic taste to them at all and we're very dry. Plus, the online ordering is great, but there aren't any options. I wanted the chicken Alfredo and had a choice between artichoke or broccoli. There's no option for passing on the veggies. Just like there's no option for passing on a salad. Price compared to what I got....I am 100% NOT HAPPY. My husband and I have been in the restaurant business for a lot of years and sending an order out like this? Nope...we'd have been fired. This was pretty sad.

    Gyro
    Olwen C.

This was the worst Greek I've ever experienced. I ordered a gyro, and it was a thin little pita wrap with a few thin slices of "lamb" meat, more like lunch meat, it was DISGUSTING!!!! I can't speak for the Italian food because I didn't have any, but I sure hope it's better than the gyro! I was expecting decent food as the prices were high for a place of this fair/poor quality!

White pizza no ricotta add mozzarella with grilled onions
    Christie F.

I live right by the restaurant and never stopped in. So, mommy and son night, here we go. We had garlic knots, mozzarella sticks and pizza. I'm difficult so I asked to modify the white pizza, we had alfredo and marinara sauce mixed, with garlic, red onion, and tons of cheese, (no ricotta). The pizza came out fast, fresh and was very good. The crust is so delicious I could have just eaten that. My only complaint is the dessert, the baklava was not fresh, it was kind of like cardboard. However, the owner said in advance they don't sell enough to benefit making it in house. The turtle cheesecake was great though! They also offer military discounts and deliver!

Best Stromboli I've ever eaten. The dough was perfection. Service was excellent and will come back again next time in the area.

The place has its own desserts as well, but if you've seen a dessert by Anthony you'll have trouble turning that down. Which unfortunately, I did turn down; I did buy several of them, but I let other people eat all of them and didn't get any myself. I hear they were fantastic. All three Greeko's locations are presently offering these top quality desserts, for which I am very happy. Maybe there will be an independent dessert shop again someday, but I'm happy for another reason to come here. As to the actual Greek food, it is also well worth coming for. I got a sampler platter and enjoyed mixing my grape leaves and falafel in hummus and tzatziki. A few whole chickpeas and some spices definitely elevate the hummus. There are a few options I would like to try if I had more room or more time, as the menu has plenty of labeled offerings for special dietary needs and you can really get some nice variety. The interior is quite large, and although drive-through and takeout business seemed good, there were plenty of people here as well, and I expect continued success for them.

The vibe eating outside on a cloudy 80 degree day made the experience even that more enjoyable. I apologize in advance for not remembering the actual menu names of the food we ordered, so I'm kinda winging it here. Speaking of wings, the Turkish spiced wings were so dang good! Perfectly spiced with tight and crispy skin. What a treat. The falafel app we ordered that came with hummus and babaganoush, wow. Excellent homemade falafel and you can tell the accompaniments were also made in house too. Could have eaten three more portions of the falafel by myself. The Chicken Adana kebab was moist and juicy and charred and spiced and seasoned and fantastically delicious. The basmati rice was buttery, the pita was toasted and fresh. I mean I don't know what else you can ask for. We may go back tomorrow again, it was that good! Keep up the great work Red Meze!

Yeah that didn't happen because this place was also packed on the patio LMAO So keep that in mind. Good weather=slim chances of sitting outside especially on a Saturday. But, we actually enjoyed sitting indoors, less busy inside, more quiet. The seat inside are like a bench style so keep that in mind if you are a huge privacy person. Also the tables are small so if you are ordering a appetizer try to finish before your food comes out that way she can grab it. It was very tight when the entree came. The wall has a unique aesthetic with different items stemming from their culture. Our waitress was really nice, great sense of humor, and very well dressed in appearance. She paid attention in making sure we got a refill. Appetizer: 3 triple dipper hummus where you get pita bread and 3 flavors of hummus. The jalapeno hummus is the only one that stood out with a taste and flavor. The other two tasted the same and was very bland in my opinion. I ordered the Meze Bowl with couscous and it was really good except the hummus I think it was red roasted I can't remember. I would have been happy just with the jalapeno hummus. The person who I was with ended up getting a kabob and he enjoyed his food. Will I go back ? Yes This was my first visit so next time I know what to order. But, I would be more interested in visiting on a regular weekday vs the weekend. I think people should check it out for sure!

We lucked out with a table on the cozy patio sitting on Main Street, where the town buzzes with life. The interior is beautiful and refined, but the outdoor setting, with the fresh mountain air and the hum of the town, created the perfect backdrop for a special evening. Service was impeccable. Gracious, attentive, and perfectly timed throughout the night. We began with a chilled French Chenin Blanc that paired beautifully with our appetizers. The escargot, bathed in a garlic cream and Gruyère sauce, was rich and mouth meltingly tasty. The braised and seared octopus was incredibly tender, deeply flavorful, and quite honestly, one of the best we've had anywhere. For mains, we shared the heirloom tomato burger, which was juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. Alongside that, we split the mushroom burrata orecchiette, pillowy pasta coated in a creamy lemon pistachio pesto with locally sourced mushrooms. It was rich, bright, and beautifully composed. When dessert rolled around, we switched things up with cocktails. I had the old fashioned with a pistachio twist, complex and not overly sweet. My wife enjoyed a smooth and flavorful espresso martini. Both paired wonderfully with the finale: a creamy, light tiramisu and a house-made French éclair with fresh peaches. Each bite was the perfect ending to an already stunning meal. From start to finish, Café Violette delivered. The food, the service, the atmosphere, and the view all came together in the best possible way. This is French fine dining with soul, nestled in one of North Carolina's most charming towns. An absolute must-visit in Blowing Rock.

He had told me over the phone when I come in it would take 2-5 minutes to prepare the food. I went in and he was folding silverware in napkins. He kept doing that as I stood there. I Starting to get annoyed because there's literally nobody in there and he's just standing there and I said can I go ahead and order. I said ok can I order this..... so he has no desserts, no coffee, majority of the Appetizers he doesn't have. I asked about ordering Turkish coffee, he had no coffee. I asked about the baklava or konafa, nope doesn't have that either. I said ok what about the sampler platter with the whipped feta, and cucumber salad... another nope. I asked if he knows when he will have all these items and what he does have if half the menu he doesn't even have. He said, "Oh maybe tomorrow, maybe next week." Dude it's your business if you're not gonna have things on the menu then you need to take them off the menu. There's no way in hell my food would've been ready in 2 to 5 minutes like he said on the phone if he takes 2 to 5 minutes just to stop what he's doing and address the customer because there's the one who's gonna pay your paycheck not the silverware. He said something about he had authentic Egyptian food and for some reason pointed to the water leak stain on the ceiling. I thought that was kind of weird that someone would point that out unless I thought he was pointing it out I don't know. I said ok I will try coming back another time then. He kept talking but I wont waste my time coming back to a place that doesn't have whats on their menu.

I ordered the Gyro Platter $17.99, and one 16-ounce Hawaiian Shirt IPA $5.00. Pepper shakers at the bar were filthy and had not been cleaned. I noticed that the front inner door STILL had a homemade sign on it ( please use the other door)! From my previous service with the US Government, I informed the staff once again that the door being locked or broken was a VIOLATION of the National Fire Safety Code! One member of the staff, who identified herself as a manager, retorted that the door had been broken for years, as she walked away and refused to give her name when asked. Since both doors are required to be open in case of a fire, panic, or an active shooter issue, I found her nonchalant reply UNACCEPTABLE! I reported the violation to the Johns City, fire prevention officer, Keven Hanes, both in email and by telephone message! Knowingly violating fire codes can result in fines, lawsuits, or even loss of business licence! I do pray that Johnson City will investigate this issue and take appropriate action. As of now, this broken door violation has fully served. Fire kills thousands of people in our country every year, locking or not repairing broken exit doors is nothing short of CRIMINAL! SAFETY IS EVERYONE'S BUSINESS! Let them not wait until another group dies, unable to exit!
