It came out to over $22, which is wildly expensive for that meal. The cashier also just stared at me when I walked in, and I noticed he did that to the other customers who came in after. This is my go to chicken sandwich place, it is delicious and open very late which is convenient. Food: The portions are quite large and the chicken is always juicy and hot. I usually cant even finish all my food from here it is so filling, I typically get the Naughty-Chick which I would not say is really spicy but it is a good level of spice. One thing I would warn to not get is the mac and cheese, it is just not good. The fries however are seasoned so well beware they do get cold very fast however. Their sauces are also very good. Service and atmosphere: It is cute on the inside and if the four parking spots are taken it is a nightmare trying to find parking to go inside. However, door dash is a very convenient way to get food from here. They are typically pretty fast at getting out your food. I finally was able to stop by Chicken G's. It's kind of tucked away on the side of El Cam. If you're not specifically looking for this place then you might miss it. Everyone opted for the chicken sandos but I felt brave and went for the Loaded G Fries and glad I did. They are not for the weak. It's a mound of frites covered with their sauce, onions, jalapeños, shredded cheddar and huge amounts of crispy chicken pieces. I paired this with their fresh Pineapple drink and it came to $21.07. A little steep for two items but at the same time I Could not finish this in one sitting, so I'd say the price is fair. Don't sleep on Chicken G's! It's a tiny establishment on the corner of El Camino Real and Palo Alto Ave. There are a few stalls behind the bldg but mostly street parking. I kept seeing Chicken G's on Yelp and finally decided to stop in. I was pleasantly greeted by the gentleman at the counter and he provided me with some insight for my first order. He was so friendly and helpful! I decided on the Big G with fries(well done). There were about 3-4 other customers who had already ordered before me so I took a seat and it probably took no longer than 10-12 mins for my sandwich. The chicken is freshly fried, so so crispy and MASSIVE! The gentlemen saw how shocked at the size of the sandwich and offered to cut it in half for me, what a doll! The garlic sauce on the bun is delicious and a great compliment. I only ate half of my sandwich and fries and took the rest home in a box, and am looking forward to finishing it tomorrow. The main critique I have is that the the chicken itself didn't have a distinct flavor profile. The sauce is what made the flavor when I was hoping it would complement the chicken instead. I also think a little toast on the bun would do good, so it doesn't fall apart or get soggy as you eat it. For $14 you get real value here, especially since it comes with a side. The size of the sandwich alone makes this two meals for small/medium appetites. The order took a little over 10 minutes which is cool bc you know they made it fresh to order. The staff here was super kind, A+ customer service. They have a few parking spots located behind the building, so if those are taken, the side streets or el Camino is your best bet. I've had Chicken G's on my radar ever since they opened and since they were opening a second location in Fremont I figured I should finally try them. The restaurant is quite small and has some character. The menu is fairly small as they only feature 3 chicken sandwiches, 3 sides and fried chicken pieces. I decided to go with the Big G Sandwich and this comes dressed with swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onions and sauce. I got it without the lettuce and tomato. It also comes with a side and I opted for the seasoned fries. The sandwich was made to order and fresh! It was huge, much bigger than I expected and I love that the chicken sandwiches are hand battered and it wasn't too heavy on the breading. The chicken was crispy on the outside yet very juicy and tender, it had a lot of flavor. The only downside was there were way too many red onions which was a little overpowering. The fries were good as well, hot and crispy and very well seasoned. The perfect side to go with such a flavorful chicken sandwich. I will definitely be back to check out the other sandwiches and even see how the regular fried chicken is. Best orders are the g meals for groups for the deal but I do love their chicken sandwiches! The area can get packed and it's actually nicer to just eat on the outdoor seating. The batter was so light and crispy! The chicken piece was huge... looked like a whole piece of breast. We loved the kick of the spiciness . A Nashville fried chicken sando this is not, but in all the best ways. There's no spicy levels to be adjusted and things are pretty much just served as described on their straightforward menu. The chicken is pretty darn good though, not to mention being an absolutely *massive* portion with a decidedly asian flavor. Very small parking lot in the back, so come early if you don't want to chance street parking. The place is extremely neighborhood casual, with an old exposed signboard up top but brightly colored interior and some outdoor seating. After ordering up front they'll give you a number and bring out the food for you. Polite staff, though not too talkative. These guys serve a mean juicy fried chicken with a very pronounced curry flavor, with more of turmeric/curry leaf spicing. Fresh sauces that are really rich and crunchy in texture while being not too heavy on their batter. "The Big G" is a good place to settle if you like your veggies, but the Naughty Chick has a *very* spicy kick from freshly chopped serrano peppers that only folks with a hearty tolerance for spicy foods should touch (seriously, hotter than the jalapenos by a long shot). Coleslaw was a bit heavy on the mayo for my tastes, but a good complement to the sando. Mac and cheese was very solid though, with a nice crispy crunch from the toppings and a good creamy richness with a full savory cheesy flavor. The menu is pretty simple and small, and we got our food shortly after ordering at the counter. Mac and Cheese ($4): this doesn't deserve to be called mac and cheese and I recommend that nobody ever orders this. From the first glance, this comes out as a tiny portion (thank goodness) of unappealing mush. I was pressured into trying a bite and had to immediately spit it out; the noodles are beyond overcooked, the cheese "sauce" was split and grainy and it tasted like uncooked freezer burned butter. DO NOT GET THIS. The Big G ($13.74): this was a decent chicken sandwich, but it could definitely have been better. The chicken was well seasoned and crispy, but it tasted a little bitter, as if the fry oil needed to be changed. The sesame bun was untoasted, the swiss cheese unmelted, and it seemed like something that was just quickly thrown together without much effort. The small side of crinkle cut fries was seasoned but not crispy and didn't do much to save the dish. I don't recommend Chicken G's and am surprised by the high rating, though I could see its late hours leading to it being a go-to spot for late night munchies.
