Hands down the best fried chicken ever! I can't believe it took me this long to find out about this place (heard about it through a good friend). They fry on the spot so each order is made fresh. The chicken definitely lives by its name. It's crispy, crunchy, juicy, and flavorful. The biscuits are to die for. I don't mind waiting an extra 10-15 min for the blueberry biscuits. It's located inside Circle K and the owners extremely nice. There's plenty of other snacks and drinks you can get inside while you wait for them to fry up your chicken.

Decent new fried chicken place inside a stand-alone Circle K store. The chicken was fresh / made to order. Chicken was juicy and exterior fry/crust was good

Great service and good fried chicken lol. It might be better to call in your order and eliminate the 15 minute wait

At fist it looks sort of intimidating, I wanted to place it in Palo Alto or Market St in SF, or in downtown Mt View. it has pulse, vibe and a charm! How will you know this, not until you go in and experience yourself. At first I read all about this unique space, and then I looked over the menu. There were a few things that caught my eye, some Spanish and Italian types of dishes/sides nestled into this California type cuisine, a twist of sorts. With an array of too many great dishes, you just need to go in and expeirence this yourself. I would not place this on the most pricier side of venues in Los Altos, but also not one of the most inexpensive. It is a nice place. I think for two people, if you do not go overboard, have a drink and share a small dish and have your mains and a dessert, you could do this for about $200.00. or so. Roja which means red in Spanish is most certainly a place that you should stop ...and enter and enjoy!!

The service was excellent and very professional yet personable. They provided great recommendations and came by to check on us and refill our beverages just frequently enough. The food was also very good, but some dishes were better than others. Our favorites were the grilled cauliflower, anchovy toast and duck fat fries. All were well prepared and seasoned and the fries were crispy and served with a delicious garlic aioli. The ceviche was good, but a bit on the bland side (not acidic enough and the seafood was cut unevenly and too large). The meatballs were tasty, but a bit dense. Dessert was AMAZING! The butterscotch boudino was creamy and perfectly butterscotch-y and sweet. The lemon tart was tangy with a light crispy crumb crust. Roja is definitely on the list when we're in Los Altos.

How many times have you eaten at a new restaurant and left with a great feeling of happiness and…read moresatisfaction? Our first dining experience at King's Fish House was last summer, and the experience was truly exciting. The service was very attentive, and the food was outstanding. We decided to go back a second time to see if the first dinner was just a fluke. Well, it wasn't an unlikely chance occurrence--the second dining occasion was just as satisfying as the first. The same has been true for the last four or five return visits. In the past, to get high-quality seafood in the Bay Area, we had to travel to Spenger's Fresh Fish Grotto in Berkeley or to restaurants such as The Comma's in San Francisco. Imagine our surprise and overwhelming joy to finally find a great fish house right here in San Jose! I attribute any remarkable dining experience to five things: The food The service The ambiance The cleanliness of the entire restaurant The management All of these great attributes would not be possible without dedication to service detail and food excellence from the General Manager. We are most fortunate that King's Fish House has selected Tyesean Gaskin as its General Manager. Tyesean is deeply concerned about his customers, the quality of the food, and the professionalism of the entire staff. If you're hungry and looking for a remarkable five-star dining experience in San Jose, then I highly recommend King's Fish House. Try it--you won't be disappointed with your choice.

They were generous with the tarter sauce and vinegar, which I appreciated, but I personally didn't love the taste of the tarter sauce. It had maybe carrots or something in it and I wish it were more tangy. It gets the job done but I might make my own next time. I also got a cup of clam chowder. It was tasty but being from SF I've had much better chowder elsewhere. I would skip this next time. The stand out here was the service I got from Javi. He took my phone order and was polite and courteous without "doing too much." He was the one to also ring me up and hand me my order and he was, again, chill but also super nice. He did a great job. It would be unfair to not share the low point of my experience, even though I hate putting people on blast. While I was picking up my order, there were two female employees standing behind Javi behind the register. One of the ladies was braiding the other ones hair. In food service it's really important not to touch your hair - you should be ready to work before you arrive, or head to the bathroom to take care of any grooming. In the moment I just tried to shrug it off but then the lady braiding the hair sprayed some kind of hair product to finish things off, and I later realized my food was sitting on the counter right next to them. It really disturbed me how they didn't see their behavior as inappropriate and it didn't bother them at all that I was being rung up while they were doing this. I'm a little torn about whether or not I would return. Again, the service from Javi was great and the fish and chips were definitely good - no complaints there. However I didn't love everything I got with my meal and I'm not sure how seriously they take cleanliness given the employees doing their hair in the front.

Sea by Alexander's Steakhouse…read more Warm, inviting atmosphere with a polished, upscale feel. Drinks were interesting. I tried a mocktail with bourbon-like notes. Flavor was excellent, but the aroma had a slightly fishy edge that didn't quite work (3.5/5). Service was attentive and responsive throughout. One server came on a bit strong with recommendations at the beginning, but overall the team delivered a solid experience (4/5). For food: Steak: Excellent flavor and paired perfectly with mushrooms. Slightly cold on arrival, otherwise near perfect (4.5/5) Mushrooms (side with steak): Absolute highlight, perfectly executed (5/5) Fish + sides (mushroom & saffron): The sides had some unique elements of mushroom and saffron, but the fish was overly salty and lacked depth. Overall, this combination didn't come together well (2/5) Dessert and coffee: Chocolate bomb: Rich and well-balanced (4.5/5) Coffee: A bit cold, which took away from the experience (3/5) Complimentary bites: Bread & butter: Fresh, warm, and one of the highlights (5/5) Crab: Interesting but not particularly memorable (3/5) Berry cotton candy: Creative and enjoyable (3.5/5) One consistent issue seemed to be temperature, likely due to timing from kitchen to table. Overall: 4/5 Strong ambiance, standout steak and sides, and thoughtful touches from the kitchen. A few execution issues, especially with temperature and the fish dish, keep it just short of excellent. Would still recommend, especially for steak.
