Sent this the other day with no response. Yesterday, I had poor service at your location. I live in Sherwood so I tend to try to get chicken express whenever I'm passing through Conway or Benton. I drove up to the drive through. My toddler was fussy, one of my kids needed to go to the bathroom so I was distracted and drove past the place you order. There was several cars ahead of me but none behind me. A young woman is bringing out food to the cars in front of me. She came to my window and I asked if I missed the place to order. She said yes but I can help you here. Now, there's only one car ahead of me at the window. I tell her I want a number 4 and a dozen rolls. She said, you want rolls? I said yes. About 5 minutes pass and she comes back outside and says it would be much easier for them if I went back around through the drive through since there's only 3 employees working. So I did. I get to the drive through and order a number 4 and a dozen rolls. She says it's 8.88 I believe. I know this can not be right. So I get to the window and tell her this price can't be including my dozen rolls. So she tells me $9 something. It still doesn't seem right but I pay it. I get my food. She put in 1 extra roll. I said, what about the dozen rolls? She calls someone over who rings them up and then tells me there's a 6 minute wait. Those rolls could've been made 3x over if she just started then when I initially asked. So FINALLY I get my rolls and the young woman in the window says, we only gave you 11 since you got an extra in your meal. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I paid for all 13 of the extra rolls but you want to take one out? If anything you should be giving me more instead of shorting me for the inconvenience. At this point I do not feel the desire to stop at this location again. I understand being short staffed but I don't understand the lack of listening to a customers request over and over and then shorting them after they pay for it. read more

1st time here and now I toally get why this place has such a low rating. Went thru the drive thru and got home only to find a few things missing. Hard to imagine screwing up a simple order for 2 people, but they managed to do it. The chicken was average at best. Today was not a win for Chicken Express. We arrived soon after 11:00 on Sunday. It was not busy inside, but the drive thru had several cars waiting. We ordered a two piece dinner for my husband (thighs), a two piece catfish for me and chicken tenders for our daughter in law. The chicken meals came out without the requested biscuits. My husband approached the counter to ask for them, and was virtually ignored for several minutes. He finally got them and returned to the table to discover his chicken was breasts, but the thighs we specified. He's not a fan, but it was too busy by this point to go back. My fish was fresh and hot, but the okra was cold and the hush puppies tasted as if the grease was burned. We've always had good experiences here, but this one was a game changer for us. I have always enjoyed whatever it was that I got from here until tonight. I went through gave them my order and pulled around. Two of the things I ordered were not in the bag, checked the receipt. I wasn't charged I didn't know that until I got home and didn't have my tenders and fries. What I did get was not at all to my family's liking. My wife and I both ordered gizzards and we couldn't eat them, the dogs loved them however. They were small and hard not at all what we are use to. Might be awhile before we come back. read more

They put a few pieces of hot fresh chicken on top of dry old over cooked chicken. Very disappointing. Especially since they made me wait for 15 minutes. I tried the chocolate chip cookies and Mac n Cheese. The cookies were burnt. I regretted getting 6 for $3.89. The mac and cheese was horrible - no taste at all. This place is hit or miss. The first several times I got chicken from this location were pretty good experiences. I like the fact that you can select the pieces you prefer without an up-charge and the fact that they offer dinner rolls in addition to those awful biscuits most chicken places only serve. My last visit, however, was not as impressive. The drive-thru was very slow. Only one car was at the ordering window when I arrived, yet it still took about 10 minutes to get my order. Guys, there's supposed to be a reason it's called Chicken "Express". My son did not want chicken but wanted a large macaroni and cheese. I got a container that was about 2 cups and cost nearly $4. Seems pretty expensive for mac/cheese. Anyway, it was awful. He wanted me to taste it and I thought it was because it was good, but it was the worst mac/cheese I ever ate. It was basically a watery mess of cooked noodles with very little cheese. If they make this in the store, it seemed as if someone didn't drain the noodles very well after cooking. Really, a 59-cent box of Kraft Mac/Cheese is far better than this. I had a 3-piece chicken box and although two pieces were fine, the third was old and tough, as if it had been cooked in the early morning and left under a heat lamp for 12 hours. I am disappointing and saddened by this bad experience, as I had only recently discovered Chicken Express and this one is close to work and home. read more

Beyond disappointed in this location. I have been eating chicken express for almost 5 years and it's food quality has drastically changed. During my last visit I ordered their 6pc chicken wing combo and received the smaller and most over fried hot wings. They were so burnt I couldn't eat them. Today, I ordered their 5 pcs catfish dinner. Not only were the pretty small, but they were over fried. When I tried to break off a piece, it was all crumbs no meat. Once again I paid for food I couldn't eat. I could understand if they were in a rush and left them in the fryer too long, but I was their only customer. My family ordered a family meal of 30 pcs chicken tender and an order of gizzards and fish. We paid 80 dollars and didn't get everything. First thing the family sided were so small and short one of the sided. I called and asked for the manager to complain she told me that I could drive back and get the shortage and I told her I wasn't going to drive all the way back up there for it. I told her the sides that we got was so small they were only big enough maybe for 2 people and she said it was only sub post to 2 or 3 people. Seriously the gravy smelled like some thing that had died hours ago and if you look thru the pictures you will see what I got. Worst food from a Chicken Express ever. I've written a couple of great reviews for this restaurant but not today. I couldn't understand the person over the intercom at the drive through to verify the order so I repeated it twice. I ordered 2 chicken dinners with leg and breast, fried okra, coleslaw, one with biscuit, one with roll and a catfish dinner with French fries and coleslaw. The two dinners had shriveled, dried up, very small legs and thighs with no bread and the catfish dinner had no French fries. We ended up getting more food from another restaurant because we were all still hungry. I called the manager to let them know but I didn't want to drive back over there for more food. They lost there place as my favorite drive through for sure! read more

One of my new favorites. Surprisingly the chicken is pretty good, but the fish is excellent. It's the best in town I've found. It's kinda counterintuitive considering the name is Chicken Express but I'm not complaining. Most of the sides, especially the fried pickles are great too. Good chicken and good price. I stop here every so often. The wait is a little longer than expected since the name is chicken express.

We arrived around 11:20 a.m. for an early lunch. Today's lunch special was a breast and wing, with one side, biscuit or roll, and a large drink for $5.79. The chicken was great: so crispy but not oily on the outside, and tender and moist on the inside. The wing was big and meaty, too. We both got cole slaw with it, and it was just the way I like it: chopped instead of shredded, with a light, tangy sweet dressing. Delicious! I got the biscuit (ok) and husband got the roll (tasty!). When they first opened they were great with hot fresh food. Now they are reduced to never changing their frying grease...or at least their food taste like it hasn't been changed. Mashed potatoes are made with adding used chicken grease and their fried okra tasted like nasty, nasty chicken grease. I think I am done with them. read more

If I could give 0 starts I would. I remember why I stop going to Chicken Express the first time. Drove 20 minutes just to go get fish and tenders was told at drive through the fish would take 7 minutes I was okay with that sat for 20 minutes in the drive through finally got my food drove back across town to find out I have fish and a bunch of rolls. I did not get my tenders. Called back spoke with a manager he acted like he could not hear me on the phone told me to come back and he would fix it. Get back to the store told him again what happened he told they guy to drop some fish I said no tenders he wanted to see my ticket like I was lying. He went and put my chicken tenders in the box but he was throwing them in while I was watching gave me the box and told me I was set. His attitude was not customer friendly. I asked for a manager he told me he was the manager I asked for someone above him he didn't want to give me a name or a number just told me to go on the website and find it. He finally gave me a name but no number. I told him he was rude his attitude was not customer friendly. I wanted to hear a sorry for your inconvenience, trouble, time lost or something.
