This was my second visit in the past 2 weeks and both visits had problems. Both visits were takeouts, I don't know if that was the problem but based on my 2 visits I can't give them a positive review. I called in my order before driving to the restaurant which gave them plenty of time to fill my order and have it ready at the requested time. Both times the order was not ready when I arrived and both times they couldn't even find my order. How disappointing. Luke took my order, what he did with it I don't know. I gave my name multiple times, even spelled my name for him. Serving sizes are small, burnt end were tender, dinner roll was fluffy and appeared fresh, Cole slaw had a lot of black pepper but eatable. I doubt I'll be going back. This place is chaotic on fundraiser day- in a fun way. Stopping off the highway for lunch. Pulled pork today is 2.99 per sandwich. I've been traveling with the Chestnut Brass company at GRAY wedding Brass quintet for more than 30 years. We stopped for barbecue all the time. This is one of the best barbecue places I've ever been to 40 years really impressed with the number of things they do to support their community . Conway is only 64,000 people here in 2024. A recent drive thru pickup was my last trip ever to this restaurant. Yes, I should have checked the order for item correctness, portion size etc., I should have stayed at the window to check it all out and let others wait on me though I will just say this.... if you are running low on items let the customer know maybe a substiution could be considered instead of a unsatisfied customer. Meat was a nice portion size, slaw well I think I saw a little of it and fries, well if that is what you call hand-cut fries we defiantly have a different idea of that, looked more like SMALL potato pieces and from the bottom of the pan at that. Maybe 3.5 stars. The food is pretty good and prices are decent for BBQ. All the sides are worth eating. The brisket is more like roast beef. Good but not great for BBQ. I didn't like the turkey, but my wife did. Pulled pork is good, I loved the ribs (dry rub) but my wife didn't. Burnt Ends are worth a try. Look for the small menu on the counter when you order, because the line of customers often obscures the large menu (mounted way too low). The Whole Hawg Platter has 3 meats and 3 sides for about $22. We added extra ribs, and dessert, and split it. I eat a lot of meat, but it filled both of us up! MEATS: Briscuit, ribs, and chicken were the highlights. The pulled pork was OK by me, but my wife didn't enjoy it as much as she usually does (a bit too smoky?). First time eating here and I was super pleased. Got the beef brisket plate and it was great! If you're from out of town this is a great place to experience some different flavor. The brisket would be perfect if the skin was kept on for that crusty dark layer with salt and pepper, that would make this dish over the top! That's the only reason I subtract one star. If I had to tell anyone just one place to go to if you're in town, it would be here. I'm not from here, but this place is how Arkansas taste in my opinion. I actually thought the food was really really good. We were driving from Arizona to South Carolina to move and I said I wanted some really good barbecue. While staying in the hotel I ordered food while speaking with one of the awesome staff members at Whole Hog Cafe. The only reason why I'm giving a three-star instead of a five star is I was missing the pork sausage. I called to let them know but they were already closing. She said she can have me come back and pick it up but I was already eating and getting tired from 9 hours of driving. Dealing with two dogs and a cat and family were enough. I was wondering if I can just stop by and pick it up in the morning before we take off but they didn't open till much after we were going to be gone that extra meat was roughly an extra 10 bucks. We ordered the ultimate platter and got the lower platter amount of food. It was really delicious though I just wish I could have tasted the sausage The staff were fantastic, I loved that the restaurant even has a military discount. I can't say enough that the food was fantastic sadly I just paid for more than I got unfortunately due to one mistake. I was really craving barbecue so we decided to give Whole Hog a try. We weren't disappointed, but we weren't overly pleased either. This place is basically an indoor food truck. You order your food and then come and get it when they call you then there is no more interaction with the staff after that. That's not a problem for us, but it definitely doesn't translate into a relaxing dining experience. The reason for the 3 stars is because we came right at the start of supper on a Friday evening and they did not have any ribs. When you're craving bbq ribs, you need ribs! We got our wedding catered by this Whole Hog location this past weekend and everything was incredible! They delivered from Conway to Petit Jean. Everyone I spoke to was so nice (especially Parker who graciously accommodated last minute changes I made) and the food was delicious! We couldn't have asked for a better turnout with the food! The BBQ is maybe a little above average. But not much. The issue here is the time it took to get a simple pork sandwich. 25 min. There were literally 3 tables of people in the whole restaurant. When I asked about the status of my order they said we are backed up.... Without even checking on my order. Then I insisted that they go in the back to check on a simple sandwich order only to be told that it had not made it back to the kitchen. The biggest issue here not the average food and bad service it is that the restaurant is not clean. The floors had all kinds of trash and food on them. With the large number of employees they have hanging out in the back my expectations were higher they should have been. read more

The rib meat was a bit dry but their rub is so good you don't want to lose the flavor with one of their 6 delicious sauces.The sliced brisket wasn't cut against the grain so it was a bit stringy. Stopped in to grab take out one night while in town visiting family from Houston. We tend to stick to beef in Texas, but have lived all through the south and have an appreciation for pork as well. My wife and I split the ultimate platter, and everything was good. Dry rub ribs were moist and flavorful, and the pulled pork was great with the mustard sauce. Of the 6 or 7 sauces, I think the spicy one was my favorite. Sides were all good, had the potato salad, fries, baked beans and coleslaw. None of these really stood out as the wow winner, but all decent sides for pork. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful as we ordered. When in Arkansas, it is legally required to eat BBQ. Whole Hog fulfilled that requisite for us. The food isn't life changing or anything, but it was good and the people are incredibly nice. Each table has a crate with 6 different sauces and a roll of paper towels to make the place legit. I had a regular beef brisket plate with a side salad and beans. The beans were surprisingly good, tasting like they were slow cooked in molasses or something. I sneaked a bite of my husband's shredded pork and found it delicious. Everyone was enjoying their food. Out of nowhere, the power went out--and not just in the restaurant, but in the whole vicinity. The folks in the restaurant were apologetic and did their best to continue serving us as we finished up eating by cell phone flashlights. I had the two meat combo with brisket and ribs, came with two sides Mac and cheese and coke slaw. The ribs were very tender and flavorful and brisket is pretty good too (they are thinly sliced).
