Later that evening my stomach started bubbling and I became sick to my stomach. I immediately knew I was sickened by the food from Gokū, as that was the only food I consumed that day. Nothing I did provided me any relief. That sickness remained until 06/04/2026. I know it was food poisoning because I was nauseated, with upset stomach and severe stomach pains. Nothing was done as the person I spoke with said the owner wouldn't be there until the next day and I should call back. I returned on 06/08/2026 to be told by Chase, the acting person in charge that the supervisor is out until 06/10/2026 and that he didn't have the phone number of his Manager. He told me I would need to call back today, but the owner doesn't speak any English. I called the restaurant phone number that I was given by Chase. Once the phone was answered but no one said anything. Another time I left a message on his vm. After that I decided to post about MY experience with Gokū Ramen Bar. While I've had sushi in larger markets that was a little better, the quality here was very good and the prices were fair. The real surprise was the Lemon Drop Roll. It featured cucumber, crab, tuna, and a creamy sauce, topped with impossibly thin slices of lemon. I never would have guessed lemon and sushi would pair so well, but the citrus added a bright, refreshing flavor that balanced everything perfectly. It was easily the highlight of the meal and something I'll order again. The yakisoba was also excellent and had great flavor. For two people with drinks, the bill came to about $65 including tip, which felt like a good value. The only things I'd suggest improving are the very bright afternoon sun coming through the front windows and the shaker-style soy sauce containers, which make it difficult to dispense the soy sauce compared to traditional pour bottles. I told the waitress I was not paying an undisclosed fee that was never properly explained beforehand. Instead of handling it professionally, she became rude and argumentative. On top of that, the food itself was honestly some of the worst sushi and Japanese food I've had in Conway. Service was incredibly slow, which made even less sense considering there were only two tables in the entire restaurant. After a long back-and-forth, they finally removed the charge, but the entire experience was uncomfortable, misleading, and not worth it. I won't be going back.
