I came here in 2023 with my family. We were all hungry and we decided to go to McAllister's deli for starters. I got a cheese pizza and my family just got sandwiches. The pizza was pretty good and so we got home. The service was great. The tables were nasty. The floor was sticky and when we got home on 830 I had to I had the worst diarrhea I ever had in my life I could not stop and first of all I had to to wear sweats to my dad's even though it was in the 70s, but I did not feel good. They poison me. I don't know what was in the pizza, but it was good but my tummy did not like it. I'll never be coming back one star read more

My mom and grandmother and I were traveling through Conway and stoped. The guy taking our order would not give us our points, he was rude to me for having a peach problem, even though he had one himself. When we got our food, he overcharged my meal and blamed watered-down soup on corporate. Of course we knew frat was a lie. Then while we were there 3 of the employees were sitting around on their phones laughing... I saw the manager come out twice and do nothing... then a lady came in and ordered 2 teas, one of the employees asked what size she wanted then gave her two teas...the lady never gave her a card, cash or anything. When I called corporate, I was cut off twice by rude middle easterners who barely spoke English... then I called three or four locations to find who this district manager was... I found out he managed several in the Little Rock area and said the employees were nice and never got my address to give me a gift card or offered to reimburse my 90-year old grandmothers credit card. I love McAlister's and was craving a sandwich so I stopped in at 3pm on a Monday. Absolutely disgusting establishment, I would not recommend eating here if you care about how your food is prepared. My sandwich came with no bacon and after asking for a side the employee told me they were out. The person making my sandwich had a ton of hair and no net. The restrooms were disgusting. Cashier was going around asking customers to change their orders because certain ingredients were expired (which made me nervous eating my own sandwich) or because they were out. Unfortunately all of the staff looked to be under 18 with no managerial figure in sight. This place could definitely turn around they just need better guidance read more

The food service and ambience are what you expect at a deli happy customers great food, wonderful atmosphere. You see people you know from work or on the street wherever you are at you'll see people at McAllister's deli. I've tried a lot of different things there. There's food is good. It's very good. Don't go expecting a four-star restaurant. it's a community deli. They make great sandwiches. They make wonderful taco salads. They make a whole lot of different things that are good for you and tasty. They make the desserts that are wonderful so go and have a great time. I always when I leave I'm happy I went there. Met some people from the community and maybe even sat with them once they came in. It's a great place go and have a wonderful time. Everyone in the South knows the brand McAlister's Deli and its reputation for quality food and great service. My party recently visited this location for a well deserved rest stop and refilling our bellies. Well, this visit was a major disappointment. We all understand retail food service, heck businesses in general, have hiring and staffing issues. But the manner in which this store operated during our visit is hurting the McAlister's brand. From the start, one could easily sense this McAlister's location was operating on a delayed schedule. There were previous customers standing around waiting for their food. There was one person operating the sales counter while other staff members walked around doing other duties. There were one or two staff members inside the kitchen. There were about six people ahead of us and it took about 10-12 minutes until we were ready to order. That's fine. However, once we ordered, it took exactly 32 minutes to deliver my groups order. 32 minutes for cold, smushed sandwiches is not helping bolster our decision to give our hard earned money to McAlister's. I can only imagine if we were on our lunch break and spent more than one-half hour waiting for our food. Come on McAlister's, if customers are paying for your "premium" sandwiches, please give them something to make them think they are getting a "premium" value. read more

This has always been a favorite stop for me. Yesterday my family went in. My kids ordered the pretzel bites and they came out definitely looking wrong. They were flat and gooey. More like what a tamale looks like instead of a pretzel. Informed them and they proceeded to get the kids plates that we had touched and opened and re cooked them to bring back out on the same plates. One was half eaten by my 3 yr old. I've worked in the food industry and I'm unsure that that's how you go about things that have been handled and partially eaten by people. Then on top of that we had messed up ordered and missing items. That was corrected after bringing it to attention. We had one helpful staff member and another who just looked at us and shrugged. This place has always been consistent. Great friendly staff and promt service. I usually get their Club Sandwich but this last visit opted for the Reuben and I wasn't disappointed. I'm a Texan in town for a friends wedding. Have had some horrible experiences with the McAllister's in my area of Texas but we gave this one a shot. Our sandwiches were actually warm and tasted good, they still have silverware instead of giving us plastic ware, we got pickles with our orders and they didn't look like they had been run over, the tea wasn't days old, and the best part of it all was the Mac and cheese was actually fresh and not microwaved into rubber!!! We deeply appreciate this McAllister's restoring some lost faith. It was nice to see workers actually working instead of standing around chatting while you're served subpar food. Tables were cleaned promptly and refills were quick. Very well done. Please communicate with all stores in the DFW and teach them how to operate a McAllisters properly again, they need serious help. read more

We love McAllisters but this was the worst location we have ever had. The boy helping us later Monday night was rude. It was later at night so we asked what soups they had left. We dont know if they run out. He very annoyed said they are on the board behind me. The manager was standing near during the whole ordering process and didnt seem bothered at all by the cashiers lack of friendliness boarding rude. The sandwiches were very dry. We ordered a ruban and the cranberry Turkey, normally our favs. The bread was dry and hard. I had the vegetable soup and that was very good, the potato soup didn't have much flavor and they didnt give us the bacon and cheese we asked for. Worst McAllister I've seen. Dirty tables everywhere, the AC wasn't working, and one person in our party visited the bathroom and was horrified. The normally wonderful glass of tea had no ice in it, and we got Charged extra when we asked for more salad dressing when they only gave one 'to go' size cup in the first place. One or their own servers busted it when she slipped and fell in the pool of water still on the floor next to a dirty table. If you love McAllisters, skip this one. read more

I drove for 20 mins for a corned beef sandwich and they were out :( but Brian was super helpful trying to see if they were cutting any soon and also recommending other things. He even got me a sample of the Mac and cheese! I got a roast beef sandwich and it was ok, nothing to get excited about to be honest. The "ciabatta" isn't really a ciabatta and there's wasn't a lot of meat. Mac and cheese was super creamy and lovely! I'm giving this place 4* purely on customer service!! Brian was awesome and deserves some recognition. He looked after me very well and he was lovely and funny but professional at the same time. Lots of places these days rely on their reputation and don't have good people working there. So even tho the food wasn't amazing, I'd come back for the staff as they were all so nice and friendly. After being born in Louisiana and living in California, i.e. the Left Coast, for 10 years, I moved to Arkasnas and opened my business. I would have to agree with the Yelp from Michael about this not beign a real Deli but I do understand the concept of this place. McAlisters is one of those places that offers a unique selection of popular sandwiches from where ever. I have passed by and eaten here many times but the reason I have not Yelped about it is, well I am not really sure. I will however, give them kudos for making my favorite sandwhich, which being from outside New Orleans, I could rarely find it and that beign a muffaletta. They have one on the menu and it is outstanding. The service has alwasy been friendly and the the establishment has always been very very clean. They have great generic soups that seem to be the usual fare at most places and they tend to be good. The only draw back to this location is the location itself. It is tricky to get in and out of and that is one of the reasons that I dont go there as often as I should. When ever I grave a taste of home I pop in and grab their muffaletta. We moved to Conway about a year ago. WE LOVE McAlisters! But not this location. We came from a huge city, so our old McAlisters was always super busy. But we never waited like we do at this one in Conway, every time we go in we wait to order, wait to get our food, then wait why they fix or make our order right. It does not matter if they are slow or busy you will wait and your order will be wrong or missing items. Today, I went in around 4pm, I was the only customer in the place. I waited 7 minutes to make my order, there were three women they could've taken my order, but I kept getting a will be right with you. My order was to go, YOU NEVER LEAVE this place without checking your order, they forgot to put one sandwich in the bag, they gave me potato salad, when it was supposed to be potato soup, They did not put some items on one of my sandwich's. This is nothing new, but they were not busy, how do you get this much wrong and I have to wait that long when I'm the only one in the place? The blinds need to be thrown out or cleaned. The floors need something done to them you slide around if you don't have the right shoes because it's so greasy. They apparently need to hire more people. This is the WORST McAlisters we have ever been to, we go to a lot of them. The owner should be ashamed. read more

Hasn't really changed much since it opened nearly 20 years ago (time flies!) One thing I did notice is that most of the patrons look to be more of the elderly/retired crowd. And that's more than fine wine with me. It's nice to have somewhere that's laid back with gentle music playing in a relaxed atmosphere. I'd rather have that than a loud edgy hipster place that too many spots try to go for nowadays. Could it be that I'm getting old too? Ok, Mcalister's isn't a REAL deli..no Lox and bagels, Choppd Chicken Liver sandwich..none of that. It's called a deli but, hey, it's the South. Not bad food but not spectacular. I enjoyed my Sweetberry Chicken sandwich. Grilled Chicken, lettuce, tomato,lite mayo and Swiss on Wheatberry bread with an Orange Cranberry Sauce. They could have put more of the sauce on. I chose the cole slaw which was so-so and I don't like sugar in my tea so I didn't try their 'World Famous Sweet Tea'..is it in the Guinness Book of World Records? My friend had the broccoli cheese soup which she adores and a ham sandwich. I saw several customers with their Spud Max, baked potatoes with tons of cheese, baco-bits and whatever else one wants on them. Other faves are the Mcalister club sandwich, Grilled Chicken Salad and the Chicken Wrap. I'm not really feeling drawn back to Mcalisters but it's an okay place. read more

We ordered the Spud Max Family Meal. Clearly in the description it specifies that all the side will be on the side and not on the spud. When I got home, (20 mins drive) I noticed that all the ingredients were on the spud instead of on the side. I called back and manager was rude, and short of calling me stupid, blaming me for not selecting the option to have on the side. When clearly on the description, it specifies it already comes that way. The manager only fixed one of the four spuds. After I picked up the remake order, I found that some of the ingredients that was supposed to be on the side were not in my bag. McAlister's in Conway is first a Chain establishment and so called Deli. With it being a chain one can go from city to city or McAlister's to McAlister's and see the same menu and expect close to the same results....(Starbucks Coffee in Memphis is equally as good as the Starbucks in San Francisco) . Now here is my pleasant surprise along with 5 star rating for this reasons. #1. Service separates the Chain restaurants and Conway McAlister's went above and beyond my expectations. I am a HUGE fan of the New Orleans Muffuletta and search them out when I can. I've know that McAlister's has a rather large Muffuletta but it falls way short on meat and is overbearing on bread, so for this reason I usually bypass my cravings and go for the potato. I asked the front counter person if they had the Buffalo Wrap. No longer available I was told. They only show two wraps on the menu but the counter person offered to make me a wrap out of any sandwich they offer. COOL.....I took her up on the offer and asked for the Muffuletta, and she seemed shocked at first as if she had never heard such a request, but quickly went into the kitchen and discussed it with someone. She quickly returned and said that it was no problem, and they would charge me for 1/2 a sandwich. Pure Perfection all the way around. I got all the great flavor from the combo of meats, cheese and that one of a kind taste that only comes from a good Olive Spread and all without the GINORMUSE bun.
