I mean it's fried chicken with spices... I don't understand the hype. My son has been begging to try it so we went there for lunch. We ordered our food and found a seat. Waited 20-25 mins for our order. Chicken was good but not great. For 2 number 3's and an extra tender it cost $45... no thanks! I expect more for the money. We came, we tried it, yall can keep it! I am sure others will think I am crazy. read more

The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because of the A/C. Corporate needs to step in and get their air fixed immediately!!! I feel sorry for the workers that have to work in the heat, especially in the kitchen!! My food was good but the air ruins the whole experience read more

We must have just missed the rush there was hardly let me rephrase that there weren't any clean tables in the entire restaurant front wait staff was pretty friendly management seems to appear to play too much with the younger employees I asked if the tea was out management kept struggling her shoulder saying she don't know only thing she knows that God is the peach tea she never came to check food was tasty and hot the dry from Little Rock was worth it but I wish they would be a little more attentive to the dining area and to the customers request also it was cold in the whole store read more

I drove all the way from Benton this past Saturday to try this food and was very disappointed. It was super packed and before I could even look at the menu I was informed that it was going to be an Hour wait for any food that they had to offer! The place was super packed but didn't really see anyone eating, needless to say I never got any chicken or anything! I just hate I wasted gas and time driving up just to be turned away and at the end of it I had to drive home hungry! read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had a mobile order, stood in line for 30 minutes waiting for my food. I went up to the counter three times and asked about my order. The boy at the counter said no it's not ready, the fourth time I went to the counter I said my app said it would be ready at 12:28pm, it's 1:00 o'clock. He looks to the hot box where they keep the to-go orders and he ask what's the name again after I told him the three times I've been to the counter, he says my fault dude it's been here this whole time. I open my box of food and it's soaking wet from sitting in the container. Doesn't offer to remake it or anything. Time and money wasted on bs. read more

WAIT!!! Golly the wait here is TERRIBLE!!! Took us a darn hour to get food . With that said tho, the food does have great flavor and does pack a punch!!! The amount of food might not seem like a lot on paper; one tender a slider and fries, but the portions are BIG and can easily feed you. The price is a bit high but it's worth the quality of chicken. You do get flavor fatigue pretty fast after like one tender and you aren't really in the mood for another. The place is pretty clean and the atmosphere is chill.Service could be better but not bad at all. I would recommend this place to chicken lovers because it is DELICIOUS and the vibes are great, but NOT if you have a time crunch and not unless you have a while to wait because this place is for sure NOT fast food. read more

I like them. They are really good, really fast, customer service is great and the place is constantly clean and accommodating.

I have never tasted reddish brown before, but now I can check that one off the list. Tasted like they went to the spice drawer and dumped everything red or brown in the bowl, so much so the flavors didn't meld or speak to each other at all. I understand Dave's chicken is out of California, would not have guessed that in a million years. David must have never had any black or Mexican friends. Was definitely a valley boy. No culture at all. Every the best ganja would not give me the munchies enough to ever try that again. No offense but out of a dozen people in the store only five were black and four of them worked there.. just saying, if you can't sell spicy chicken to black People then you won't last long in this town. I'm sorry Popeyes I'll never stray again. The only redeeming quality this place has is the incredibly excellent staff. read more

We went to Dave's Hot Chicken a few days ago. It was pretty hot and humid outside but there was almost no break from the heat inside. I don't know if their AC just wasn't "up to snuff" or what, but it was hot. Also, we happened to get there around 6:15 which apparently is a fairly busy time. There were 2 groups using the kiosks (which we were told we had to use to order) just before we ordered and 1 group after us. While we were waiting, and after we were told we "had to" use the kiosks, the worker at the register did start taking orders -- not sure why because there was no change in the number of people waiting in line... maybe because the folks at one of the kiosks was obviously having issues with ordering? There were 5 of us. Hubby ordered their "Reaper" chicken slider with fries and a milkshake and I ordered the Sweet, Saucy, and Savory spicy bites with an order of Dave's Sauce on the side (not sure why they charge an extra $1.49 for it, but okan) and a side of mac & cheese. The other people with us (who ordered/paid separately) ordered the Hot Mozz (not sure if they ordered just one or more than one), mini sliders and at least 1 chicken slider... One was no spice/not hot; one was lite mild spicy and the last was either mild or medium. We waited half an hour AFTER ORDERING to get our food. Very slow kitchen. And the people we were with got their food about 5 minutes before we did even though we ordered before they did. They gave us our food, we get to the table and realize we didn't get our drinks. So, we go up to the counter and ask for our drinks (that we ordered and paid for) and were told we have to stand in line behind a handful of people (2 orders). So, he gives me my cup (for the fountain drink) and I say thank you and then wait for the other drink - hubby's milk shake. Instead of going to get that, he ignores us standing there still (and yes, I mentioned that we needed BOTH of our drinks) and asks the people next/behind us what they want. When I say that we're still waiting for the milkshake, he grabs the proffered receipt and then says we have to wait until he's done taking their order. Hubby ordered a large shake, I ordered a medium fountain drink - our cups were the same size. So, we got and sit back down and I realize both the mac and cheese and the side of Dave's Sauce are also missing... back to the register though this time there was no one else there. The cashier almost threw the tube of Dave's sauce at me before going back to the kitchen and coming back out with the side of mac & cheese. It was right about then that we realized that hubby didn't get the side of fries and that the people we were with didn't get their "Hot Mozz." Neither hubby nor I wanted to go back up to the cash register so the other people we were with just shared their fries with us. So, we sit down to eat. Hubby said the "Reaper" chicken was quite possibly the hottest thing he's ever eaten in his life. The no spice/not hot chicken apparently wasn't seasoned at all. Very bland with almost no flavor. She didn't think that they even put salt or pepper on it (I tried one of her mini sliders and had to agree - the pickle was really the only flavor). The "flight of saucy bites" were all spicy. One of our friends tried one or two of them and we took the rest home. The other people said that their sandwiches were okay - nothing worth coming back for. The only thing that was notable was the Mac & Cheese. It was definitely one of the best cups of mac and cheese that I've ever had and I would love to find a copycat recipe for that. On the way out, the other 3 people tried to get their missing "Hot Mozz" to go but was told that if it was missing, they would have had to have come up to the register when they first discovered that they didn't get it. After they saw us having to make multiple trips, they just figured they'd claim it on their way out. AVOID at least this store but if, for some reason, you go to Dave's Hot Chicken, make sure to try the (regular) Mac & Cheese. read more

My recent visit to Dave's Hot Chicken was a disappointing experience that fell far below my expectations. Known for its bold flavors and fiery reputation, I anticipated a satisfying, well-seasoned meal served hot and fresh. Instead, what I received was bland, cold chicken accompanied by undercooked fries that made the entire meal unenjoyable. The chicken, which is supposed to be the star of the menu, lacked the flavor and heat that the restaurant is famous for. Rather than delivering a crispy, spicy bite, it tasted flat and uninspired. The seasoning was barely noticeable, and the overall flavor profile felt muted. Even more disappointing was the temperature. The chicken was lukewarm at best, suggesting it may have been sitting out for too long before being served. Hot chicken should arrive steaming and crisp, but this felt like an afterthought rather than a freshly prepared meal. The fries were equally frustrating. Instead of being golden brown and crispy on the outside with a soft interior, they were pale and undercooked. The texture was limp and slightly raw in the center, which made them difficult to enjoy. Properly cooked fries are a simple but essential part of a good meal, and their poor preparation added to the overall dissatisfaction. Beyond the food itself, temperature and quality control are basic expectations when dining out. When a restaurant builds its brand on bold flavor and quality, customers naturally expect consistency. Receiving cold chicken and raw fries not only undermines that reputation but also leaves a lasting negative impression. Overall, my experience was underwhelming and frustrating. What should have been a flavorful, satisfying meal turned into a reminder that even popular establishments can fall short. I hope future visits will reflect the quality and flavor that made the restaurant well-known in the first place, but based on this experience, there is significant room for improvement. Just go to canes next door. read more

In Conway today and had heard about this place from locals - overall impression was positive - I tried the 2 piece Tenders and Cole Slaw. Great price under $14 that includes a drink. I went with the "Hot" and was not disappointed with the flavor as well as the moist chicken. The heat was not overpowering (they also offer Extra Hot and Reaper flavoring.), for another day. I ordered on their app for two of the same meals, but both orders included Cole slaw, instead of the French fries I ordered for the second meal. The Cole slaw tasted more like a dressed salad, but still very tasty. Does not match the taste of Nashville Hot numerous places in and around Nashville, but very tasty at a great value! read more

So as a Dave's hot fan from Houston I will say I was not over the top happy . The flavor pallet was not the same actually very bland and no heat for the medium heat and flavor as well as being dry. Both the slider and the over the top fries had little to no flavor . read more

I drove 45 minutes to come get some Dave's and was deeply disappointed. The line was almost to the door with the entire restaurant packed. On top of that, there were only two workers upfront, one of which was stressed out and being extremely rude. The food was 16 dollars for two chicken tenders, 4 pickle slices, two raw pieces of white bread, and a small boat of fries. The combo that I paid 16 dollars for did not come with a drink. The prices are outrageous, and my chicken tenders were barely cooked through. The flavor was unpleasant and the tenders were an unsettling texture. The one thing I found especially bewildering is the two slices of raw white bread that they give you in a 16 dollar combo (without toasting it or anything). The resteraunt had a nice design but was jam packed with people and extremely overstimulating. Will not be coming here again. read more

I have been anxiously waiting to try this place out. I was in the area around lunchtime and decided to give it a try. The first thing I noticed is it was kinda pricey. But I thought well that's okay if it's really good!! IMO, it wasn't. First, it appears breaded and fried. That's good!! NOT. It was so over sauced that the breading was mushy. There was sauce literally dripping off of the nuggets. They were so saucy I could barely pick them up. They weren't too spicy, just too saucy. I was very disappointed and don't think I will be returning. read more

only flavor is spice made us very sick, 50 bucks spent and couldn't even eat our meal.
