I continued to watch his customer service to everyone. He greeted as people walked in with a genuine smile and was nice to those customers who had to wait awhile for their shakes. Really scaled down version too. Gone were the hard boiled eggs, pickled okra, artichoke hearts, snow peas & green peas. The ice machine wasn't making ice in the soda fountain. The ice cream machine couldn't get cold enough to make the chocolate soft serve anything better than a runny mess(the vanilla didn't even work). Ordered a kid's baked potato and meatball marinara pasta for the little ones. About the only thing worth giving a good star to. Place just seems to have fallen on hard times. I'd like to think we just got there after the church crowd had ran it over but going by the price hike and lack of variety on the "famous" salad bar, it's probably the new normal sadly. You're best to take your business elsewhere IMO.

The staff were not overly friendly, but they were certainly professional as you would expect. Would definitely return here when traveling through Little Rock. Very easy to get to off I-30 and I-40. The overall rating should be much higher than what is listed. Not enough evidence to warrant some of those bad ratings posted. Glad we took a chance.

The building looked clean, bright, and well kept. The drive through staff set the tone. The woman working the window was the nicest person I have met at a fast food restaurant outside of Chick fil A. I ordered the four piece tender combo with original and spicy tenders. The meal was thirteen dollars and worth every dollar. Many new chicken tender spots serve hot food with no flavor. Layne's does not fall into that group. The tenders were hot, juicy, and seasoned. The spicy tenders pushed the flavor even higher. This is strong performance for fast food. The fries impressed me. They had crunch on the outside and plenty of salt. They stopped right before too much salt. Most places fail here. Layne's did not. The toast was simple, buttery, and toasted well. Layne's delivered from start to finish. If you are in town and want quick chicken, you will leave happy.
