First time in Arkansas means first time eating fried catfish so we dropped in at Grampa's to give…read moreit a go... The restaurant quickly filled up with locals after we arrived, giving us the impression that this place must be a local favorite! We started dinner off with the fried pickles and ended with the light catfish dinner, composing of three catfish filets, fries, and two hush puppies. The catfish had a great, crispy outside texture and the meat within was soft and flaky. I drizzled my filets with Louisiana hot sauce for a little more flavor. The fries were fairly standard, but the hush puppies were sweet, making them a nice little impromptu dessert. Grampa's has set the standard for me, so I can only hope that it satisfies fried catfish afficiniados!
