Rented the small reception area. Was told by Toni there was a party Friday the night before so we couldn't set up early but had to pay extra. So we did, went by early and there was no party. Rented for Saturday and Sunday. Sunday rolled around and Toni was going off on us that all our items in the reception would be thrown out. Very unprofessional and there was minimal on the "contract". I would get everything in writing from her. She was nice up until we said we did not want to cater with her for breakfast then things changed as she demanded. So sad because we love to support small business but not when they take advantage of people. Would not recommend supporting this business! read more

My mom and I came to visit after seeing the reviews on Yelp. The exterior and interior were both decorated in a relaxed southern vibe. It is a little confusing when you go in, because it's set up like a small buffet, but you just go through the line for everything. You don't order from the table through a server. You grab a drink and tray, go through the line, and order what ever plate lunch you prefer. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and checked on us throughout the visit. We both got the Parmesan Crusted Chicken, as well as the Cheesy Hashbrown Casserole and they were fantastic! She got the 4-layer Chocolate Delight and I got the Strawberry Cream Pie for dessert. Everything was delicious and you can tell everything is made from scratch. We will be back again when passing through Conway. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Fantastic food, service and clean dining area. Only open limited hours and days so call ahead. I say this was just like my grandmothers cooking and selection. Save room for the deserts. Very reasonable pricing. We live two hours away but visit grandkids in the area. This will always be one of our stops. read more

We had a delicious lunch today! The cream chicken was fantastic! The okra crispy and seasoned to perfection! My friend had the Parmesan chicken and it was amazing as was the Mac and cheese! One of the things I love about the Hole in the Wall is the staff. Everyone is so friendly. I feel like part of the family. I'm addicted to the Parmesan Chicken. And the greens. And you bite in to a chunk of potato every so often in the mashed potatoes : ), they are sooo good. Everything tastes like my grandma made it! Every. Thing. Have you tried the Chicken Salad? At first I wondered how a place that is only open for a few hours on weekdays can even stay afloat - but after a few visits I totally understood. LOTS of people come here for lunch because it is freaking amazing. I've been a patron of the local soul joints around here for years. Annie's (before it was closed), Bob's and Holly's....as much as I love those places I have to be honest: Hole In The Wall blows them out of the water. The atmosphere is better and so is the food. The staff is SUPER friendly and they stay on top of busing the tables to make room for all the people that loooove their food. Seriously, my boyfriend gets 2 weekdays off and we always use at least one of them (if not both) to visit HITW. We've even thought about trying to switch his schedule up sometimes so we can try the other day's specials (they have a rotation schedule for what meats and veggies they serve so if you want something different go on different days of the week!) THIS IS IMPORTANT: when you go in don't be put off by the front room being filled up. while i'm eating i always see people walk up, notice the crowd, and leave thinking there will be nowhere to sit. THERE IS AN EVEN BIGGER SEATING AREA IN THE BACK behind where you pay with a huge wall made of chalkboard for you to write what you think of the food. If you don't want to eat in, lots of people just take their orders back to work with them. But personally, I like to go in and see the nice people that work there. I have come down to Conway for 3 years as my son attends college here. Given the hours of the restaurant, which center around weekday lunch, versus my typical weekend visit, we had yet to meet. Until today.... Excellent southern food. Don't look for healthy food here, but they have amazing fried chicken. I was not a fan of the fried corn bread, but hubby and son liked it. Whats the difference between Heaven and the Hole In The Wall Cafe? Heaven doesn't have the BEST peanut butter pie in Arkansas. This place has been a well kept secret.. They have by far the best Homemade food around. The CORN BREAD is to die for. I was begged by my wife to stop here several times and I finally gave in and Boy im glad I did.. If your looking for great food at a great value with the best desserts in Arkansas I would recommend to stop here. This is the only time I am going to say this: I am glad I listened to my Wife!. Me and friend and our girls came to eat here one day and it was pretty packed, they didnt have much of a menu( which was disappointing or a kids menu)we got our food went and sat down and the food was horrible! I'm a little confused why people like this place. It's about on par with my elementary school cafeteria. The rolls are good, but I'm not a fan of the fried cornbread. There is nothing healthy to eat here. You're lucky if you can find something that isn't fried. The parmesan chicken is ok. The fried catfish was tough and not seasoned very well. None of the food seems fresh, like it was probably cooked early in the morning and sat under the heat lamps until the lunch rush. We had a buffet lunch: grilled pork chop, black eyed peas, greens, and fried corn bread (don't even try it.....you will love it!!!!). Everything was seasoned perfectly.
