We have to travel to Conway about every three months for business, and a coworker and I always make sure we leave early enough to stop by Stoby's for breakfast. This time I have a few issues. First of all, who had the idea to take an eggs benedict, set it on a crab cake, add sauteed spinach, sliced tomato, a poached egg, and cover it with hollandaise sauce? Who came up with that? Whoever it was, can we get that person on more important issues? I figure with that kind of beautiful mind, we should have them creating peace in the middle east or something. That's some serious out of the box thinking. Another issue is a quirky thing. If our waitress is busy or not around, I should be able to go up to the counter and pay so I can leave. I should not be told to go back to my table and wait like I'm in kindergarten who just asked to go to recess a few minutes early. We live in the age of connectivity. All of your little machines are connected together so pull up my bill and let me get on with my day. One final issue. Can we find a way to hookup your housemade strawberry jelly like an IV? I don't care if you run a tube into my mouth or straight into my vein, just give me all you got! read more

Larger seating are after the rebuild. Small parking lot, drive through window at the back of the restaurant. Outside seating area under an awning. Inside seating is very close and makes navigation difficult. VERY friendly staff, food service and taste are consistent. I've never had a bad meal. Signature dishes are their cheese dip and Italian cream cake. Cakes can be purchased by the slice or a whole cake. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have a difficult time choosing a favorite meal, they're all delicious and very filling. If you're in Conway, you really must stop by Stobys you won't regret it. read more

In Conway for a dr appointment and decided to stop for a late breakfast. Our server was Betty. Such a delight! My husband had the Stoby Breakfast: sausage patties, scrambled eggs, hash browns and toast with butter and strawberry freezer jam. He said everything was wonderful. I had 1 biscuit and gravy, 2 eggs over easy and bacon. We both had coffee. The coffee was pretty good. Not terribly bitter. Adding half and half helped. My food was very good. The biscuit was soft on the inside and a bit buttery crunchy in the outside. My only negative was the sausage gravy was too thick for my taste. Stoby's looks like a house converted to a restaurant. Very homey. We will definitely be back. It is worth the trip. read more

We came into Stoby's around 11 am, unfortunately missing their famous pancakes but that didn't deter us from not eating. We ordered queso as an appetizer, chicken fried chicken, their Cajun pasta and a kids chicken tender meal. For drinks, we all had their famous fruit punch. The Queso was good. Not the best I've ever had but still good. The chips were the round kind you find at sporting events so they were on the salty side. The pasta was the highlight! The pasta sauce was so well seasoned, it almost reminded me of the Cajun pasta that TGI Fridays used to sell in store. I wanted to sop up all that sauce with more bread. The chicken fried chicken is the reason for the 3 stars. It was not good and not having mashed potatoes as an option was the cherry on top. After 2 bites, we just pushed this dish to the side and focused on the other meals. The fruit punch was great!! It reminded me of Mexico Chaquitos but less pineapple juice. Our server was very attentive and friendly. She did very well attending to all her tables so kudos to her. Overall, the ambiance is cool and the food isn't bad. Great family friendly place. We started with their famous cheese dip and it was very good. We had 4 in our party and ordered the small. It was plenty and I don't even want to know what the large would be like. My husband had the double double bacon bacon burger. It was huge! I had the stoby: David's way (back of menu) and it was quite good as well. We finished with strawberry shortcake and it was a crowd pleaser too. Tia waited on us today. There was seven of us and we sat outside with our dog. I would like to suggest adding more fans outside. It was 90 degrees and humid. A few more low level fans would be nice. Food excellent service puzzling. This restaurant uses one of those little calculator machines to prepare your check. I'm not a big fan but really what is unsettling is to have your server stand there like a vulture until you calculate a tip and sign. Is this policy intended to make sure you don't skip out without paying? Do they only have 2 machines so they need it right away to do someone else's check? I ordered from Stoby's through DoorDash for my lunch to be delivered at my work. When I received my sandwich, it had no meat on it. It was white bread with lettuce, tomato, and onion.! When I called Stobys and asked for a manager , the manager told me that there was nothing they could do about and for me to call DoorDash, even though Stobys is the one that made the sandwich. I contacted DoorDash and was only credited $2.38 ! Stobys Should have refunded me or offered me some type of credit for the future. I paid them $14 for something that I couldn't eat. ! So this was the best Burger and Fries I've had so far in Arkansas. My kids enjoyed their food too; just get the kid size portion for the Chicken. Service is great and I loved the Possum Pie. Very local place a little bit off the main interstate but worth the drive. Good diner food with nice service. We were driving through on our way home from Littlerock and really wanted breakfast so kinda bummed we had just missed it. But we're glad we stayed and had lunch. I had the roast beef sandwich and wife had the house salad. Mine had lots of beef with fresh bun and wife's salad filled her up. Hopefully next time we can stay and spend some time downtown. Stoby's is a Conway staple. Been here a million years, burned down, and came back better (and bigger!) Something for just about everyone on the menu. Just about everything is good (not great) but when eating with a family of all ages, thats a major win. I may be crucified for saying it, but their cheese dip that they're known for is gross. Weird taste and has consistency of the paste you used in preschool. Have never understood why so many go crazy for it. They even give you a bag of tostitos to go with it, which is kinda weird. Anyway, its a perfectly fine place to eat in or door dash, especially if you have a wide range of pallets to order for. read more

I LOVE Stoby's breakfast. I've been coming back to Stoby's since I've graduated from UCA in 1993. The service is always friendly, efficient, and patient. The staff is willing to answer questions honestly and are very helpful. I've never really ventured outside of the breakfast menu other than to get cheese dip (which is what started me going to Stoby's in the first place). Called for a pickup order, the girl answered the phone and I ordered a quart of yellow cheese dip and chips. She repeated the order. Pulled up to the drive-thru window and was handed a single bag with one quart of cheese dip and zero chips. I was then told chips don't come with a quart of chips but that's not what the girl told me on the phone.
