Passed by this location, the high ceiling and upscaling looking drew us in. The seats see comfortable, but not too many. The food is very mediocre, nothing to be craving about. The bread is very sad looking, cold and dry. The small piece if chicken, juicy inside but dry and hard outside at the same time. Not sure how they achieved it. The service is better than most of the fast food places. If you are looking for a quick meal and don't want to go to McDonald's. Here is the alternative.
I have to give 5 stars for this free meal for healthcare workers. I got a chicken sandwich, waffle fries and soda for free! Lineup was around 20 min and I appreciate how it is over a few weeks and not just one day.
I enjoyed my meal at Chick-fil-A (CFA), it is still fast food - but more upscale. Unlike places like McD or Wendy's where you'd prefer drive-throughs or takes-outs, this Yonge location will make you want to dine-in. The interior was brightly lit, clean, with plenty of seating and no weird smells or sketchy people. This is not easy especially in downtown. The staffs genuinely seems to like working there which is a plus. I am unsure how anyone would just want to have chicken with pickles, so I ordered deluxe. The chicken was delicious, but the rest isn't like extraordinary or anything. What makes CFA stand out is their attention to detail. The packaging, the CFA sauce, waffle fries, and the variety of specialty drinks all point to carefully designed branding. If I have CFA and other fast food places side by side, I'd go for CFA for sure even if it's slightly more expensive.
Deluxe sandwich was good, with moist, crispy & tasty chicken & fresh vegetables. Even without sauces it was good (though not outstanding: it was better in 2019). Waffle fries are fried to the same level as normal fries so they're pale yellow not dark yellow or brown. They were ok. The flavour is the same as that of normal fries (they used to be better). Frosted lemonade is a blend of soft serve & lemonade. It's excellent: thick, rich & with a good lemon flavour. They're generous with sauces. Polynesian sweet & sour is like duck sauce. Ranch is ranch - just a bit more sour. Chick-fil-a sauce is jazzed up honey mustard.
Online ordering is a breeze. Choose from the expansive menu and scan on arrival. they have a lot of mobile and delivery orders so they are efficient. Tried the Cobb salad with spicy chicken breast and spicy chicken sandwich meal. Once I arrived and scanned the order was ready in 5 minutes. Service is fast and efficient. Salad is a good portion. Good value and everything tasted freshly made. Spicy chicken a little on salty side. Overall great fast food chicken place in the area.
When I saw Chick-Fil-A came to Toronto, I was super psyched. It was like my Atlanta roots were following me and I don't mind one bit! Sadly I had to wait for the lines to die down because it was incredibly busy even now! The good news? It seems that 11:20-11:40 am is a sweet spot based on my experience to avoid lines. The service has always been friendly when I have stopped in, even during the pandemic there were smiles from the staff. The Spicy deluxe is just like how my taste buds crave back home. Right amount of kick and crunch. (heads up to spice lords, it's not actually spicy though). The winner for me? It has always been the Chik Fil A sauce, I'm talking about addiction over here. It pairs really well with the waffle fries. I mean there are other sauces but my question to you would be why bother? Try the sauce! The only downfall is they don't have sweet tea in the stores up in Canada!
Closed on Sunday... you're my Chick-fil-A You're my number one... with the lemonade Considering Kanye wrote an entire song referencing to Chick-fil-A, and all the surrounding hype, I had to make a stop by here to try out their (in)famous chicken sandwiches! Ordered the spicy chicken deluxe combo and upgraded to the lemonade for an extra $0.50. Of course, we paired the waffle fries with Chick-fil-A sauce, which is a delightful mixture of honey mustard and egg. It was sooo delicious! It tasted like a hashbrown-McDonald's fries but even more crispy. As for the sandwich, the chicken was crunchy and flavourful. The spice from the jalapeno cheese helped cut the greasiness of the chicken, and the lemonade was also a good contrast to the meal. I found that overall the ingredients tasted high quality and fresh. Service was friendly and quick as well. Definitely a great place to grab a quick and satisfying bite. I'll be back for more sandwiches and waffle fries!
I get it now. I finally understand why people love this fast food joint. PLEASE NOTE: They use Peanut Oil to cook all their food, so those with nut allergies please be aware. The service was phenomenal, probably the fastest I've ever received my food. Literally rigger after I paid, my food was in front of me. (Around 8pm) I ordered the original chicken sandwich without cheese & the Chick fil a sauce. It kind of tasted like a thousand islands but better? Didn't know that was possible. The chicken itself was not as deep fried as I expected, and I preferred it that way. Their fries were AHMAZING. That's it, that's my review. I'll be back.
From the excitement, hooplah and occasional criticism for some of their values, Chik-Fil-A has finally made their entrance in the North. The flagship Canadian location has definitely lived up to the amazing chicken that our friends down South have been bragging about. The menu at the flagship location is pretty standard: sandwiches, nuggets, waffle fries, milkshakes, etc. Not many items as compared to other places, which does allow for quick service of their food. Their hallmark Original Chicken Sandwich has lived up to its mark. Nice and crispy (I do prefer a larger crunch personally) with a bit of acidity from the two pickles for a great bite. If you're looking for a change up from their milkshake, I would suggest trying their Frosted Lemonade. Combining their fresh lemonade with soft serve ice cream, this beverage is a great compliment to your chicken meal. Think of a lemon creamsicle if you're looking to order it for your next meal. Overall, the line is worth the hype. I can't wait for my next visit to this location and future locations in their plans for expansion.
As of this writing I have gone to this Chick-fil-A location 4 times already, and everytime I came out more than satisfied. Each time I came there was a queue, but the line up goes by very quickly because there are multiple cashiers ready to process payments and while in line an employee will already be taking orders. The restaurant operation was very round-the-clock, streamlined, and efficient. Food-wise the chicken sandwich was truly delectable. It may be still up for debate on who has the best fried chicken out there --- Jollibee, Popeye's, *KFC --- but for the chicken sandwich category Chick-fil-A has got it in the bag (IMHO). I happily had the chance to try their chicken sandwich in every way and form available: standard order, deluxe, spicy, spicy deluxe, grilled, and grilled chicken club. Each and every way was scrumptious proportionate to the price. The fried chicken meat also pairs perfectly well with the multitude of sauce dips available. I appreciate how the servers are also generous with the amount of sauces they hand out. I don't know if there is a hard number limit for each customer, but I just make sure to always ask for a couple more extra after the initial batch of sauce packs I requested. With the assorted flavours of sauces on offer, there is for sure a sauce to suit everyone's tastes. My personal favorites are the Polynesian sauce then Chick-fil-A sauce, and Honey Mustard. I have sampled the nuggets bothways (grilled & plain), along with the iced tea sweetened & unsweetened. The iced tea may be a point of contention for many because it is not as sweet as they expect it to be because of the way it is prepared freshly brewed daily. Next is the salad which surprisingly is much more filling than is to be expected. For people having already tried the signature chicken sandwiches before, the salad choices are good alternatives for meals to choose when dining in. Every time I was here with friends, fortunately we always manage to find seating. The meal is satisfyingly finished, and as much as possible I order extra for take away to share the goodness to friends and family (and to also make the most value out of the time spent in line). I have a very positive opinion of the place and I will for sure come back several more times.
customer service definitely taken a BIG DIP since originally opening... the customer service that first few months was NEXT LEVEL... Now the line is long and slow, painful... if u see more than 3 people on line, i'd suggest you leave..
I am actually very glad that I did not line up for 2+ hours to try this. I would have been very disappointed. It's not too bad not get my wrong. The chicken is actually chicken unlike other fastfood chains and the prices are typical fast food restaurant. However, I guess I expected ALOT out of it because of the hype. It's a good chicken burger but it does lack flavor and can be bland unless you add some added sauce onto the burger. The fries could have been fried a wee bit longer in order for it to be more crispy. The service is good. They have a good system so even if there is a line up you will get through quite quickly. There is also a host/hostess walking around making sure everything is ok. Therefore, I do think their customer service is great. If yelp allowed .5, I would give it a 3.5. The food is ok but let's say I would not be going out of my way just to have a chicken burger.
Does it really live up to the hype? Yes and no. Yes in the sense that it tastes great but no it's not worth waiting for. By far one of the highest demanding fast food places in all of Toronto. With that being said, if you ever see a short line(immediately just outside the door) it's worth waiting for. If the line bends around the corner, just wait for another time unless you're real desperate. Service is quick as they start taking your order while you are waiting in line so by the time you're at the cash register you will just confirm the order and pay. Crispy chicken sandwich is the thing to order here. Crispy and juicy with the unexpected pickle bite! Grilled chicken was a bit dry this time but was good the other time I ordered it. Waffle fries are what you'd expect potatoes to taste like. The cookies and creme milk shake is a must get if you are not watching your calories.
I was out and about on a very hot day and I needed to grab a quick lunch I could walk around with and eat on the go. I assumed Chick-fil-A would be too crowded but it surprisingly wasn't, so I stepped inside and placed my order. I opted for the Spicy Deluxe Sandwich ("A boneless breast of chicken seasoned with a spicy blend of peppers, hand-breaded, pressure cooked in 100% refined peanut oil and served on a toasted, buttered bun with dill pickle chips, Green Leaf lettuce, tomato and Monterey Jack w/ Jalapeños cheese"). The sandwich was ready within minutes and I was off. It's a solid concoction, though I can't say anything about it knocked my socks off. I'll admit, though, that it had clearly been assembled with care and the various fresh components were all impressively tasty (i.e. no soggy lettuce here). It contains a hint of spice, but referring to this as "spicy" is extremely misleading. Nevertheless i quite enjoyed it, and also the service was super friendly and helpful. read more
So many US chains have landed in Toronto. Chick-fil-A is a popular albeit controversial fast food restaurant serving southern fried chicken sandwiches. I've been here several times and it's always good southern comfort. The sandwiches themselves are just OK, it's not overly crisp and the flavors are fairly standard. We chose deluxe for the lettuce & tomato slice. The waffle fries are nice, as is the iced tea. You can expect to have a quick meal served straight to your table. It's a reminder of our southern neighbour's friendlier side. read more

I am surprised, but I love Chick-fil-A. I've heard many of my US friends rave about chick-fil-A but I had my doubts. How good can a fast food restaurant be? When the place first opened, the lines are usually very long and people were lining up around the block. I got lucky one evening and managed to get in to Chick-fil-A without lining up. I ordered the Chick-fil-A sandwich combo and the Chick-fil-A sandwich deluxe combo to share with my boyfriend. You are allowed to ask for 4 sauces and I asked for Chick-fil-A sauce, the honey mustard, the polynesian, and the sweet and spicy sriracha. When I first ordered the Chick-fil-A sandwich I was surprised by the fact that it didn't come with cheese, it came with sauce and pickle. I was worried that it would be really dry (I tried an A&W burger with no cheese before and never again), I was surprised that it was amazing nonetheless and perfect as is. I also discovered that I am a big fan of the Chick-fil-A sauce and I think about it from time to time. Unfortunately the waffle fries were just ok. The best part of this whole Chick-fil-A experience was that on the receipt I got an offer to fill out a survey and get a FREE Chick-fil-A sandwich. I think about the Chick-fil-A sandwich from time to time now and if it weren't so expensive, I would definitely go back more often. read more
Chick-fil-A is pretty decent for a fast food chicken burger. Nothing much more to it than that. I wouldn't line up out the door for it but I would consider it for a quick meal. The chicken is tender and juicy and the burger is satisfying enough. The waffle fries and sauce options are also quite good but the iced tea was very sweet - I'd have to try asking for unsweetened or less sweet next time. read more

I looooove the spicy deluxe chicken sandwich. I would tell myself to give other menu options a try but then I'd go right back to the spicy deluxe. Waffle fries dipped in polynesian or sweet and spicy sriracha sauce? Yes please. I've went back and forth between the lemonade and iced tea but when I noticed a lot of milkshake orders, I knew I was missing out. To be consumed next visit. I'm glad I waited until the outside lineups disappeared. read more
Went in here for lunch today. There was only about 15 people ahead of me in line at mid-afternoon, and the line moved quickly. Inside the place the environment has a very clean look, with big glass windows and tall tables. I would have preferred a bigger space with lower tables and chairs to eat at. The staff are very friendly here. We ordered the original and spicy chicken sandwich along with a drink, they had them ready immediately without any wait. The sandwiches were fresh, hot, and crispy--they are the exact same as in the U.S., and tasted delicious. I like the original sandwich better, as the spicy one has too much spiciness too it; all I taste is hot spice. read more
So excited to finally have my first Chik-Fil-A experience in Canada! I was downtown so I treked 20 mins through the winds just to come here. Surprisingly and thankfully, there wasn't much of a line up around 12-12:30 pm, about 8 people in front of me. However, there was a huge line up of people waiting for their food. Even with the decent amount of space that they alot for customers waiting for pick up, it was extremely crowded. As I looked around, I could see that all the seating was taken and some people were even standing up to eat. I was surprised when the called my name, since I only waited about 5-10 mins for my four Cobb salads with avocado ranch and one large waffle fry. I was pleasured to find that they remembered to give me everything with my order, including the crispy red peppers, dressings I requested, as well as cutlery for all my salads! Oh, and I also requested their zesty buffalo sauce at the register and was given it then. The portions for all my items was satisfactory and ingredients were fresh. It's nice to know that I can continue to have my Chik-Fil-A in Canada now, and don't have to wait till I visit the States! They even have sweet tea here, just like in the US! Amazing. The only difference I picked up was that my fries were salted, which I don't recall being the case in the US. I actually prefer the unsalted fries, so I wonder if this can be requested (like McDonald's). Overall, the service was quite good and again, efficient. I like that here, they asked for my name and the first initial of my last name. This is so that when they call your name for pick up, you have to state your last name's first initial to verify your order. From my past experiences in the States, they don't do this and commonly, customers with the same name would get mixed orders and overall, it interrupted the flow of things. So this system is smart. read more
We came by on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm and while there was a lineup, it went by quickly and we were ordering in about 10 minutes. I haven't tied the US version, but we thought it was a decent fried chicken burger. Some people may like to add sauce to the burger and CFA certainly had a good number of sauces to try. There is ALWAYS a line at Chick-Fil-A, but service is fast and efficient. I would say the line up takes around 3-5 minutes depending on the time, but you will get to the counter really fast! Start deciding what to order... I ordered the Chick-Fil-A Delux Combo, the Spicy Chicken Combo and the Chick-fil-Nuggets. (If you dont mind the extra bucks, try their lemonade or milkshakes, HIGHLY SUGGEST) Food is always warm or pipping hot. FRESH. Which is something I LOVE. Since a lot of fast food place doesnt come with fresh/hot food. The difference between a deluxe meal and a regular one is the toppings different. Deluxe comes with Cheese, Tomato and lettuce. Personally i like the deluxe better! Spicy chicken is actually spicy. If you cant do spicy, i will suggest the regular chick-fil-a burgee or the grilled chicken burger. But if you want a bit of heat, especially foe the winter, Spicy Chicken IS THE PERFECT MEAL FOR YOU! Their WAFFLE FRIES can speck for themselves. Perfect balance between the chewiness, "tenderness" and flavour. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! And because of the line up, it usually comes out pipping hot, which i LOVE! 5/5! The chicken nuggets are a bit spicy. A bit of heat and chewiness. Yes, it is smaller in size, but the taste is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! You also have 8 sauce options, give it a try. I recommend the chick fil a sauce and the herb ranch sauce. Give it a try and definitely try the other flavours! I just wish its bigger in size. But overall 4.5/5. Last but not lease, the spicy southwest Salad. It comes with stripped spicy chicken, mixed greens, Monterey Jack and Cheese, grape tomatoes, peppers, corn and black beans. It also comes with 2 side toppings in separate packaging, which are the seasoned Tortilla strips and chili lime pepitas. I usually just put everything in and the sauce, close the lid and shake it. It is on the pricey side, but overall if you are down for a flavourful salad, this will be your GOTO! My overall experience is absolutely amazing! Even though the staff are very busy, they are friendly and give GREAT RECOMMENDATIONS! So dont hesitate to ask them for suggestions. First time in my life trying Chick-fil-a and let's say I was not disappointed at all!!!! My friends and I ordered 3 spicy deluxe sandwiches with 12 chicken nuggets on the side. We got 9 sauces and the employee even gave us an extra one since we were very hesitant as to the ones we wanted! The service was extremely quick, but the food still tasted fresh and was hot! The team there is very efficient. The place was clean, not too crowded. Covid-19 measures were in place and everyone was following them. It was definitely a change from usual fast foods, but for the better! The price is very similar to comparable fast foods while the food was ten times tastier!!! read more
After coming here on the one of the first few days it opened, I have came back a few times after that. First time, I waited behind roughly 50-60 people and was in and out within 30 minutes, despite ordering quite a lot of food for my family). I had high expectations for this place as I heard they are very well known for the chicken sandwiches. I found the sandwiches incredibly juicy, still hot and crispy. My coworker and I enjoyed it, we got to try most of the sauces and she liked the zesty sauce the most while I liked the Chick-fila sauce. Service here is really good, they are very friendly, even though the number of people that came in and ordered was a lot, they were still smiling! read more
I don't understand the hype about this place as their sandwich tastes very regular to me. The only thing is you get to choose your sauce. Chicken tastes juicy but I found it small. I don't think I would purposely line up and drive all the way to downtown just to eat that read more

Toronto's first Chick-fil-A location! And I think the first one in Canada outside of the one at Calgary's airport? Definitely the most sophisticated Chic-fil-A I've ever been to. Probably because it's such a new store. The trash cans have built-in compactors that compress their contents. Judging by the media, it's not being received well in Toronto due to the brand's history and Toronto being a secular-leaning place (versus the Southern US, where Chick-fil-A is from). I had a really good experience at this location. The staff was warm and friendly. The food was delicious (as Chic-fil-A always is). If you haven't been to a Chic-fil-A before, whatever you get, dip it in the standard Chick-fil-A sauce. And get your waffle fries extra crispy. For bonus points, dip your extra crispy waffle fries in your standard Chick-fil-A sauce. read more
First time here I ordered the regular #1 sandwich with no pickles and it was pretty good, however I feel like the one in the States is better - maybe it's because the Canadian chain is so busy that the quality isn't the same. The one from the States is crispier in my opinion. Second time around, I ordered the spicy deluxe with no tomatoes and it was pretty spicy, although I noticed at some point I kept getting a hint of some weird floral taste (if flowers had a taste in correlation to their smell, that's how my sandwich tasted at some point) and I wonder if that was from the spicy cheese sauce? I don't know, anyway I wouldn't recommend that sandwich. You're probably better off with the regular because it was just strange. The waffle fries are always a hit with my belly! Combined with chick fil-a sauce and it's an amazing combination. I also like how they give you however much sauce packets you want without charging you - unlike *AHEM* McDonald's who charges you FOR. MAYO. PACKETS....!!!! I MEAN???? WHY.. Chick Fil-A actually DISPLAYS their mayo packets by the napkin station and that's enough for me to like this place. Also I'd like to add that the first visit I had here, there was a protester (also very foul-mouthed for an older gay guy) but thankfully some random hero stopped him from harassing us people. Honestly, he came out of nowhere - he was like the hero we didn't know we needed (whoever you were, thank you). It's unfortunate that protesters would go so far as to harass people in line when we're all just minding our own business, but I know they secretly wish they could go inside and eat there. Anyway, line is efficient, wait times really depend and overall the service is outstanding. read more

Honestly, the hype hasn't gone down yet for Chick fil a but like I totally get it, the burgers are pretty dope in comparison to other fast food restaurants. I had it for the first time last week and it was so good that I had to go again the week after. The line is pretty long but it goes pretty fast. It's also pretty packed there in terms of seating. The waffle fries with their signature chick-fil-a sauce is the best combo ever. I even dip my spicy chicken in the sauce (the sauce is literally one of a kind!). Highly recommend getting that sauce ! Literally 10/10! The spicy chicken was still crispy but the second time I went, it was a little soggy. Still recommend going though ! read more
Definitely worth lining up for. Had a family member waited in line on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't that bad considering it was grand opening weekend. I had the spicy original with waffle fries, unfortunately had to do take out and the fries ended up being smooshed, but the chicken burger was absolutely phenomenal. The size of the chicken was pretty ginormous while the buns was like the size of a jr chicken, which is fine with me. (Forget the bun, I'm there for the chicken). Also ended up grabbing the Polynesian sauce and the chick fil a sauce, Polynesian is like a sweet thai sauce *yum*. Will definitely go back for the sit down experience and possibly order more, the chicken was out of this world. They need to open one in the Yorkdale shopping Center in the future. read more
It's me again, this time with Chick-fil-A: Location is perfect, Yorkville besides the subway station and many public parkings. It is very popular here so expect to stand in a line. I got Chick-fil-A sandwich and the waffle fries. There were some minor issues however. The bun used to be better in past, the chicken was a bit dry and lacked the moisture. Now the hype or read wait has gone down I ventured out to this place. The wait from order to pickup was roughly 5 min no longer than any other busy fast food joint IMO. I tried their spicy chicken sandwich. Done well here the sauces for dipping are a mixed bag IMO with the original and buffalo styles being poor and siracha being good. The location is very central and I can see it being very busy during peak hours. Worth a try if you like your fried chicken sandwich. read more

Overhype. I wish I could leave it at that, but that's not my style. I thought about this for a while, due to some of the negative press that Chick-fil-A was getting. I decided to give it a try but I probably won't be supporting them anymore. Now, moving on to the food and service. It was a regular Tuesday, at around 1:30pm and it was packed! There was a line right to the door, that being said the line moved really fast. I was probably in line for less than 3 minutes. I ordered the crispy nuggets, grilled chicken sandwich and the spicy fried chicken sandwich with their waffle cut fries. I also grabbed 4 of their dipping sauces which are free. First, the grilled chicken sandwich was pretty plain. It was on a whole wheat bun with lettuce, pickles and tomatoes. A great option for someone who's watching calories. The chicken didn't have much flavour but with all the dipping sauces, you can have as much flavour as you want. Next up, the Nuggets. Probably the best tasting fast food nuggets. Looks and tastes like chicken, and each piece is different which means they're not uniform like McDonald nuggets. Finally, the spicy fried chicken sandwich. My favourite, great flavour and honestly for the calories it's pretty good. The fries were also perfectly salted. The sauces were great. I've been to chick fil a multiple times during visits to the states so I decided to check out the first Canadian location. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a small line, we ordered in 5 min and got our food in another 5-10 min. Very fast and efficient staff. We ordered two deluxe chicken sandwiches (sub Monterey Jack cheese for cheddar) combos with waffle fries and diet lemonade made with Splenda. Both combos came to around $25. Let me tell you - somehow it tastes better here than in the US. Chicken was juicy and crispy, bread was soft and buttery and the waffle fries were crispy and fresh. I recommend getting a few of their sauces on the side. I like how they don't charge for extra sauces. I recommend the chic fil a and garden ranch sauce. Definitely will visit again!! Hope they open more locations soon. read more
