In a city chock full of fried chicken sammie joints, Chick-fil-A is a welcome addition with their legendary reputation. We love our fried chicken! I took a couple family members when visiting for my first visit giving the three of us a chance to try it out as a first ever. This spot on Queen West is perfect for Chick-fil-A too! Nothing much nearby like it, just a small A&W near Spadina and McD's next to that. I ordered the Chick-fil-A® Deluxe Sandwich combo with fries and a drink. In case you don't know the deluxe means they add cheese, tomato and lettuce to the regular sammie, which has pickles only. My first impression opening the pack was that it was smaller than I expected. It seems to me that pics I've seen show the chicken sticking out of the bun and being the star of the show, but mine was underwhelming in size. There's a choice of sauces for dipping which is good, although they come in those little takeout packs that aren't easy to open. That's fine for eating in the car or in a park, but dining in it would be nice served in an open container ready to dip. Fries are the grated ones with holes which is neat! The restaurant is roomy and bright with plenty of seating looking out on Queen West, always fun to people watch at. But if I was to recommend a friend chicken sandwich in Toronto, this would not be anywhere near the top of my list. If you are used to McD's chicken sandwiches, Chick-fil-A is step up with the options and quality, but this is Toronto and we have many other choices so take a pass and head out into the culinary landscape here if this is your favourite lunch meal. read more

I love that they opened a new Chick-Fil-A spot at Queen and Spadina. Compared to the first opening in Yorkville, this is managed so much better. We were in the area and just peeked in from outside the day before opening. Someone from corporate/management approached us and offered a complimentary sandwich coupon each. A lucky bystander saw what's happening and he also got a free coupon too. What an unexpected surprise. This is the third location in Toronto. We were worried about a line up so we arrived around 9pm on the first day. We didn't have to wait that long to place our order. Our vaccine passport was scanned and checked when we wanted to dine in. I ordered a milkshake and fries along with the spicy sandwich. Food-wise I knew what to expect, consistent to my experience from other locations. Putting aside the controversy, I like their sandwiches. Especially with their sauce! Make sure to grab some with your sandwich (free). The waffle fries and milkshakes are great too (we got the cookies and cream). We didn't have to wait too long after our order maybe about 15mins~ or so. The staff was handing out little plushie cows for our wait. Those who waited longer received a complimentary coupon for a milkshake to come back to revisit them. I like how they set up the dividers so groups could stay between the partitions in front of the counter as they wait for their order. They gave us a little stand to get seated and delivered the rest of the order at our table. There is a good amount of seating in this location. I haven't been to Chick-fil-A in ages. Probably at least 5 years. Well I know Chick-fil-A is in Toronto so B and I definitely had to go and grab some great chicken sandwich. I got the #2 Chick-fil-A deluxe meal and B got the #5 Spicy Chick-fil-A deluxe meal. The meal came with waffle waffle fries and a drink. I got the lemonade and B got the frosted coffee. The meal was delicious but it was not as delicious as I first or last that remembered. We came here because B never had Chick-fil-A and I told him that they have really good chicken burgers here and so I wanted him to try. The meal was quite pricy for fast food. 2 combo came to $30.94. I loved their special sauce so I asked extra for that. Everything was freshly made and the ingredients were fresh. The chicken wasn't crunchy and on top the chicken patty was a bit thin. Seems like the USA locations of Chick-fil-A are way more tastier. Anyways, the meal was not bad. I did enjoyed it. We came right after the restaurant open. I liked how they have someone carrying an iPad to take your order to speed things up. The same tradition as all Chick-fil-A, they are not open on Sunday. read more

It only took a decade but I finally got to try Chick-fil-A. I'd been wanting to check out their food ever since they entered the Canadian market way back when but the place always seemed too crowded. So when I had an hour to kill in between TIFF movies, I figured/hoped this would be my opportunity to finally eat one of their almost iconic sandwiches. The place was busy but not crazy when I showed up on a recent Saturday. I decided to get the basic Chick-fil-A sandwich and I also got their dipping sauce on the side. It's a really tasty sandwich. The chicken was hot and flavorful, while the soft bun and zesty pickles kicked up the concoction considerably. I did feel like it needed some kind of a sauce, so it was a good thing I ordered some on the side. Once I began dipping the 'wich in that sweet, delectable sauce, I found it to be one of the yummiest sandwiches I'd had in quite some time. Yes, yes, yes! I've been waiting for this location to open for months, and dropped by last weekend during their soft opening. While things are still "different" in restaurants due to the pandemic, the staff here did a great job in taking orders and fulfilling them quickly. I'm not usually one for small talk while waiting for orders, but the lovely staff chatted with me while I waited as the kitchen was clearly backed up. My go-to here is always a spicy chicken sandwich and (sometimes) an order of waffle fries which are my weakness. In terms of dips, they'll give you as many as you want, but I always go for ranch and buffalo. The Chick-Fil-A sauce is good but a little too sweet for my taste. Seating here is plentyful and I took a seat by the window so I could watch the world go by while I ate. At $15 or so for lunch with tax, it's not cheap but the quality really is there. Real, tender chicken breast pressure cooked and served on a simple bun with pickles. Perfection! I've never seen the need to go with any of the deluxe sandwiches as the regular ones are so damn good!
