I developed a bad habit of going to the this fabric store for hours, then heading to Meritage for a meal and drinks. Truly, the cherry on top. Meritage was addictive. It was hard to break away from a place where the bartenders quickly learn your name (because they know everyone else's) and the food is stellar. Trust me when I say get the French Onion soup. If they've got the same chef (young black female with her brother turning out dishes in the back), you're in for a treat. They have daily specials and over-the-top desserts, so treat yourself.
