Twelve08 makes a pretty good pizza. The outer crust has the right mix of crusty elasticity, and the toppings are excellent. The crust beneath the toppings is a bit soggy, something to work on. And sure, the lighting is reminiscent of Denny's, but nothing's perfect. This evening I arrived at 8:40, to be told the kitchen was closed. 20 minutes before closing. And the bartender seemed a bit put out that I did not elect to stay. When I had come for dinner. Tip for budding restauranteurs: keep your posted hours. Don't have customers show up to find they won't get served. read more

In a really cute suburb of Cincinnati in the town of Wyoming we found this amazing little pizza joint that made some of the best Gluten Free pizza we have come across! Marci had an anchovy, arugula & mushroom GF pizza with red sauce & vegan cheese. I had my "typical" mushroom, black olive & sausage pie. WOW! Twelve08 is one of those spots where you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. Every staff member we met was genuinely friendly, and when we complimented the decor, they didn't just say "thanks" -- they gave us the backstory about how all the woodwork, from the bar tops to the shelves, was hand-carved. Love a place with a personal touch. My mother-in-law declared their wings the best she's had in Cincinnati. I swapped in vegan cheese for my pizza order, and they were more than happy to accommodate. When they found out it was my sister-in-law's birthday week, they surprised her with a free scoop of her choice of ice cream -- a sweet gesture. Between the warm atmosphere, great food, and those thoughtful touches, this place is an awesome gem. We'll definitely be back. read more

This quiet gem is THE spot for a magnificent meal. The interior is warm and spacious. There is bar seating, a patio, and indoor tables where you can watch as the meals get cooked in their pizza oven. The staff and owners make you feel like family. The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful. Nearly everything on the menu can be made allergen-free or accomodate specific dietary needs. They have GF pizza crusts, vegan cheese, and GF salad dressings, for example. I suggest trying a mix of everything. Get at least one pizza made in their wood-fired oven. The crust gets a nice subtle char while staying fluffy. This same dough is used to make their special Panuzzo sandwiches, which are incredibly hearty. The burrata and toast was definitely my favorite appetizer, with the soft burrata melting into their housemade bread. Service is quick, but you can always order ahead for takeout too. read more

so, we had heard good things about this little place and we love supporting our local places and that changes. We had friends coming in from out of town so we thought we would try it. I called and got a reservation. first of all the lights were so bright in there it wasn't cozy whatsoever. Secondly, the waitress came over and said I the only one here. This was after about 15 minutes sitting there without water. After about 20 minutes, she brought all of our drinks, but one persons which was a beer, which should have been pretty easy. I wanted to give this place a great review and I will say the food was great. I would give the food a five but given the service was so so so bad I can't help but give it a low rating. If it had just been my husband and I we would've walked out but we were with friends so I didn't want to do that. read more

Had a great experience at twelve08. The food is fantastic and really is already some of my favorite pizza in the city. It's clear they put a lot of time into their menu items, and I'm always a fan of bold flavors. They have a cool environment, and I'm looking forward to enjoying the outdoor seating as the weather improves. We learned that the wood bar top was sourced locally, which adds a great level of detail to the setting. The food really is top notch, and as a new business I know they are still working out some kinks on the service and guest experience side. Twelve08 is a fabulous addition to the Wyoming restaurant scene! Great for residents and worth the trip to Wyoming for non-residents. We were seated right away and got our entire order within 15 minutes. The Reds game was on, the music was a great playlist and not too loud, and the space was clean and inviting. We ordered the Daily Artisan bread, which was our favorite part of the meal. The herb butter was amazing and the bread itself was flavorful. My husband and I ordered a full house salad and the parmesan peppercorn dressing was amazing. The salad was heavy on the shallots which became a theme of the meal. We ordered the applewood pizza without bacon and I second the other reviewers that noted the crust is really delicious and soft. The mozzarella was perfect. But the other toppings were pretty overpowered by the shallots. Shallots were the main flavor of both the pizza and salad. Next time, I will request less shallots. Overall, this meal for two was excellent, less than $50, and the service was friendly and good! We'll be back to try the Cookie Jar- I hear amazing things! read more

We've been wanting to try this new pizza spot, and Pizza Week was the perfect excuse to check it out! Even on a Thursday, the place was bustling, which only added to the lively atmosphere. We ordered one of each of their featured pizzas: Margherita: Crushed Stanislaus tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and 80 Acres basil--a classic done to perfection. The Big Dill: House-roasted garlic oil, buffalo sauce, shredded mozzarella, house-pickled English cucumbers, and a ranch swirl--such a unique and flavorful combo that worked surprisingly well! We also tried their house salad, which was fresh and complemented the pizzas nicely. Everything was fantastic, especially the crust, which was cooked to perfection. The Big Dill stole the show with its bold and balanced flavors. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu! read more

Took a couple seats at the bar since all seats but a community table were occupied. Super nice lady behind the bar greeted us and gave us menus and got us water. We ordered two salads, a house salad and a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was mostly like a regular green salad instead of the typical iceberg lettuce. But the dressing was lighter than most I've had and really tasty. We ordered the Street Corn pizza. (They don't make half and half pizzas) do I compromised with my wife and settled on the Street Corn pizza. Great choice!! Definitely home run on the dough. A little bit chewy with a semi-sweet flavor. Toppings were well balanced. ( we took note of a previous review and went easy on the shallots. ) I'm usually a die hard meat lover, but I've decided this was a great choice. Not horribly noisy. (It is pretty small, only 60 people max allowed) they do have a patio out front, but at 90 degrees and no breeze, we decided on sitting at the bar. This is DEFINITELY a place to come back to!! Interesting pizza shop and I'm happy to have this addition in my backyard. Build your own pep/sausage/bacon was loaded with toppings and definitely felt like they gave me my moneys worth. The crust that I could actually taste was good, most of the crust on this one was burnt. Yes I know, wood fired but...just look at the pic below. I was impressed with the pizza overall and will definitely be back. Service was friendly and the staff seemed to vibe really well together. They have a full bar pretty much with wines as well. Oh Yeah! This place was great! Small place for dining in the middle of winter but if you time it right you won't have to wait long. Can't wait to go back when we can sit outside. We ordered house salads, pizzas and dessert. Pizzas were 1 Lions Mane and 1 Hot Chick. The lions mane was a mushroom pizza and I recommend it if you like mushrooms. The hot chick was a special with Montgomery Inn bbq, chicken, jalapeños, speck and hot honey. Both pizzas were awesome. Service was very polite and pleasant. read more

Quality Control. Quality Control. Quality Control. I've eaten here a couple times, and I really enjoy the pie with apple. However, takeout tonight was very disappointing. In addition to the apple pizza, i ordered wings. I return home, to find them inedibly burnt. I can understand oversight to a degree but the wings were completely charred AND THEN sauced/seasoned. So you saw how overcooked they were but still proceeded to serve them. To make matters worse, as soon as you open the container, they smell burnt. Back for another! Could not wait! Went on another college visit. We made plans to go to Twelve08 after the game. Being from out of town, so happy to get to repeat here! Greeted at the door by fantastic friendly staff. The ambience was warm and inviting. The bar was eclectic and fully stocked with all the right stuff! Great place for Bourbon lovers. My hubs couldn't wait to get the old-fashioned. And I couldn't wait to get the house red wine. We ordered cheese sticks to hold us over before our pizzas. Highly recommend the cheese sticks. Dipping the cheese sticks in their homemade pesto, chefs kiss! Then comes out the awesome pizzas. We all had to share. This place is absolutely amazing. First time eating here. We ordered 3 pizzas and some wings for carry-out on a Friday night. When I arrived for pick-up, there were people waiting outside in the 30 degree weather, so I thought that was a great sign. The server was friendly and got my order right away. Here are our thoughts: The BBQ smoke rubbed wings were excellent. All 3 pizzas were very over-charred on the bottom. The burnt taste overwhelmed the taste of the ingredients with which each pizza was made. I know they say the pizzas have char, but this was just plain-out burnt. The Lion's Mane had an ample amount of local mushrooms, which was appreciated. The pickle pizza had exactly the flavors you would expect, but was extremely salty. The pepperoni they use is the fun little curly kind, but the pizza didn't have enough cheese. Maybe it was because it was a busy Friday night that our pizzas were charred to death. We will try one more time on a weeknight, and request a little less time in the fire, because the flavor combinations on the pizzas are worth exploring more thoroughly. Twelve08 serves unbeatable flavor and quality in not only their pizzas, but in their shareables, panuozzo, dressings, and cookies as well. But back to the pizza: so much research and intentionality has gone into every step of the pizza at Twelve08. It is made in a wood-fire oven that was flown over from Italy. The dough is homeade and is truly good enough to eat alone. It's soft, yet sturdy enough to hold all of the toppings and it has such a wonderful bready flavor. They also have a gluten free pizza that is the BEST GF pizza I have ever had. it is baked in a separate oven and all of the pizza dough in the restaurant is rolled out on GF flour to avoid airborne cross contamination. The servers and bartenders are so wonderful-- especially Emily and Christian! Both the outside and inside of the restaurant have a lot of character. One of the coolest decor pieces is the bar top-- which is a long, continuous piece from a local tree. The front of the bar is beautiful with leather and a floral pattern. I'm a bit torn between a 3 and a 4, probably could be a 3.5 so I'll start with the positives. The menu is really interesting and the food was outstanding. We started with the peach burrata on bread with balsamic and it was so good! Plus plenty of food with 4 pieces. I got the fig arugula pizza and it was exceptional. Also good reheated the next day! What I didn't love about the experience is that the decor is a bit lackluster. It feels like a daytime diner and the lights are very bright. It's also very loud, some insulation or noise cancelling panels on the ceiling would be nice. Last, the service was friendly but very slow. We waited quite a while for the waitress to come up at all, never got refills and waited a long time to order and a long time to get our pizza after our appetizer came. Overall the food is solid and the service will improve with time I'm sure. A few tweaks would make this a much more enjoyable dining experience. read more
