Walked in at 8:45 tonight and was greeted with eye rolls and sighs, cashier was very short and visibly annoyed that I was there 15 minutes before closing, didn't respond to any of my thank you's, when I inserted my card he didn't tell me the amount or say a word until my receipt printed. Watched all of them behind the counter literally shake their heads and sigh in annoyance if someone came in, the last girl walked in at 8:50 and she saw their reaction and left. Food is great as always but horrible customer experience, and when my sandwich was ready he just placed it on the counter and walked away without telling me it was mine. I can appreciate wanting to leave after closing but your hours state that you are open until 9 and I don't feel 15 minutes before close is out of pocket at all. read more

First time at this location. I think their subs our average at best. Better than subway and below Jersey Mike's. I also like Jimmy Johns better. Medium subs are around $7. I got a club sub just before closing to eat for my next day's lunch. Disappointing that they didn't put mustard or bacon on it and I repeated my order twice. Bacon was standard on this sub. If you must eat a chain sub, get one here. The Italian is by far my favorite. I have eaten here several times since they have opened and sadly this was my first check in. Sometimes I wonder why I don't check in more places... Hmmm Italian sub. The service has always been good and the Italian sub is so yummy. Do you see a trend here. Wait time normally is never long and worth it for the Italian sub. Now the only down side is the price of the sub, it costs more than other places, but the Italian sub is so worth the extra penny's. Was not happy to see when we walked in the Firehouse Sub location in West Chester Oh.. looked up to see an employee with very bushy hair and beard making food. Wasn't sure if I should stay or run! Their were 5 employees working so thought maybe he wouldn't be the person making my sandwiches.. With this many employees working you would think tables would be wiped off and drink counter cleaned. All my experiences here have been positive. The place is clean, the counter people are super friendly and courteous, and dollar-for-dollar, you get a lot. I like patronizing places that support our first responders and military.Their large sandwich is huge--a medium would satisfy most people. Their cheesesteak is packed with meat and incredibly juicy--quite possibly the best cheesesteak I have ever had--certainly the best of any place in this area. They also have the programmable self-serve Coke machine with about 100 different choices. What's not to like? We will be back again and again. read more

My son has been a long time fan of the meatball hoagie so I finally went with him to give their sandwiches a try. Got the steak and cheese with all the toppings - delicious! Is it just me, or every time I'm at the grocery store, are there about a dozen firemen buying shit loads of food for some infinitely ongoing grill-out / chili cook-off / pancake breakfast or some other celebration of food that these guys partake in between emergencies. My conclusion... Firemen know how to eat ....and cook! Well, as it turns out, Firehouse Subs was founded by a fireman. So, I felt like this place had a decent chance to be great... and it is!!! Firehouse serves up delicious subs made with quality ingredients piled on fresh, toasty baguettes. They also have a state of the art touch screen soda dispenser that gives you literally hundreds of drink possibilities. And the best part ...Over 50 Different Hot Sauces!!!!!... Over 50!!!! (All numbered from 1 to 10 indicating different heat levels) I recommend the one called Pain. It was a 10, of course. They also have chili, which I will try next time. While Firehouse is a chain, they add a little local flavor by decorating with historic photos of local firemen, trucks, etc. Oh yeah... I almost forgot. The table tops are patterned with dalmatian print. Don't ever go to Subway again! (bleck!!!!) Firehouse is where you wanna be! There is one on Fields Ertel, as well. read more

Vegetarians, beware! I'm vegetarian for religious reasons. I went to Firehouse Subs for the first time and asked the clerk if they had a vegetarian sandwich. He recommended their veggie sub, which has, among other items, sauteed mushrooms. I went back to work and took a few bites of the sandwich and it tasted kind of meaty. I looked around on Firehouse's website for ingredient info and discovered under the allergen section that their mushrooms contain fish. Because I had melted cheese on the sandwich which stuck to the mushrooms and other toppings, I had to throw away the entire sandwich. I emailed Firehouse Subs and received an email back from Ashley Routte, executive assistant of guest services. She explained that the mushrooms are in Worcestershire sauce, which contains "traces" of anchovies. Her suggestion and resolution? Don't order mushrooms next time. No apology. No offer to make things right for me having to throw away an almost $6 sandwich. I was taken aback by Ashley's dismissive response and lack of apology. I asked her if she would feel comfortable telling a Jewish person, "It's OK, that sandwich only has a little bit of pork in it" and again asked that the company communicate to their staff that the mushrooms are NOT vegetarian or to at least list it on the menu. I sent that reply on July 11 and still haven't received a response back. I found Firehouse Subs' non-disclosure that their veggie sandwich is not vegetarian to be troubling. The fact that the staff also is not aware of this demonstrates poor management. Most of all, their customer service needs serious help. This was my first visit to Firehouse Subs and it will be my last. read more

He was so friendly to me and my coworker Nick who picked the order up. Our order was ready on time, everything we ordered was there and the quality and cost was outstanding! By far, hands-down the worst customer service I have ever experienced. After an employee miss made my sub and I said something to them about it and they Never offered to make good on my purchase. No offer to correct it, or refund my money. I had only taken maybe a half of a bite when I realized it was missi made. It's been several months since I've been to firehouse. Looks like the menu has changed. Now, small medium and large subs. Ordered a medium and small new york steamer to go. I was told the small was 4 inches. It's not. Measures 3. Barely any meat on both subs. Mayo and mustard were wiped on the bread as if they were almost out of it. They are clearly cutting costs. New bread, and sandwiches are now served in a clunky box instead of paper. Not the same place I remember at all! Small sub has next to no meat, and is certainly not worth the money. They use to greet you when entering, guess that is no longer a part of their service. Very disappointing overall. read more

I have had firehouse before and have never had a single problem, it is a little more expensive than normal but it is so worth it. The subs here are very good and they are priced reasonably. This place will set you back about as much as Subway but the food is much better, and you will actually get some something on your sandwich other than bread.
