Staying at a nearby hotel, realized we had no provisions for in-room Monday Night Football and baseball playoff viewing. Saw what we thought was a standard gas station/convenience store, but this was so much more. A deli. An honest to goodness, made-to-order foods deli! With a human working the counter. A beer cave. A wine room. Loads of groceries. Not just snacks. Real stuff. A wall of lottery products. No joke, I think they had something like 80 different kinds of scratch offs plus those other multi state games. Glad they were here, but the traffic patterns made driving in a challenge and walking over a death wish. Go here, stock up, and be glad stores like this put in the effort. read more

I stopped in the other morning to get a small order at the deli, and the woman who served me was unnecessarily clipped and rude. I am a very warm, friendly person and it essentially got thrown back in my face. She was forty-ish and had long, dark hair. The other staff were quite friendly. She was the anomaly. If she hates her job, she needs to find another one. On another note, I feel the prices are outsized compared to the portions. read more

High prices that are usually not displayed on the shelf and when they are usually they aren't right because Jamie is always raising prices. So many staff standing around, no wonder the prices are higher than normal. Staff is rude when you question the price that you're charged vs what is displayed as tho the customer is a fault for poor management of the business. read more

It's a genuine deli, right here in the dreary suburbs of Cincinnati. As of this writing, yelp only shows "Deli" under the Restaurant category. I'm on a mission to get them to correct that: while they are not as common here, a true deli is a food store. It's not a restaurant, there is no seating, and no "ambience" to speak of. If you need some sliced cold cuts, potato salad, deviled eggs, juicy pickles, soup to go, a snack cake, loaf of bread, head of lettuce, a can of soda or a bottle of beer, or, obviously, a made-to-order sandwich, you don't have to go to the super duper mega market. You go to the deli. And this is really a good one! They don't carry Boar's Head brand unfortunately, but they have Kahn's and several other quality brands of cold meats. Their roast beef is particularly tasty. This is an extra large deli and convenience store, with plenty of necessaries available in the grocery aisles, not to mention a little hardware section, pet accessories section, personal care items, automotive items, etc. and you can't beat the hours: 5 AM to midnight six days a week, with their "late" opening on Sunday at 8 AM. That's even better than a lotta delis back home in New York! Service is prompt and friendly. I've subtracted a star due to the absence of the aforesaid Boar's Head, and the absence of Kaiser rolls for sandwiches (Alas!). I come here a lot, and you should, too. read more

Do not let the appearance of this gem fool you. I started to go someplace else because who wants to get food at a gas station. Anyhoo, I decided to give them a try because I had already navigated my way there and my pastrami craving was leading the way. This place is great. Not only was the sandwich delicious, but the potato salad was great too. The staff behind the counter was very nice and friendly. I know a guy who refuses to eat at any restaurant accompanying a gas station. I am not so discriminating, and I'm glad, because places like the Dixie Deli should not be judged based on their locations. The deli is a family run business specializing in soups, sandwiches, and salads, so, typical deli fare. What's atypical, though, is the service. Used to regulars, the staff is very accommodating and have an instant and easy rapport. If you're strapped for time, you can call ahead and have your order waiting for you. They have the best ham and bean soup I've ever had! They have homemade soups daily along with a variety of other sides like pasta salad, deviled eggs, desserts, and deli sandwiches made the way you like it. It's family owned and they are always really friendly. My office orders lunch from here at least once a week. Highly recommend if you are tired of fast food! read more

I have purchased from this store for over 50 years. I've been with them through all of our ups and downs in our community. They're always helpful and friendly and I've even had friends that have worked there over the years. But I went in today and no one... Not one of the employees had on masks. During this time of Covid19 precautions, I was shocked. Especially given the fact they sell freshly made foods. I guess I'll be finding another Carry Out. I'm sad that they aren't taking care of themselves... Or their customers. You're down to three only because we've had a good relationship until now. read more

Working down the street this is very convenient. Never knew it was even there until today when I ordered a toasted cajun turkey and provolone sandwich and it was FABULOUS!
