Grippo sauce wings!
Sarah H.

The husband thought the mild wings were really good, the grippo sauce wings I had were were really really good! The Marvinade (strawberry lemonade) is a nice sweet treat with real strawberries. The fries were hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Will definitely come back!

Supposed to be boneless chicken. I can't believe they thought this was acceptable to serve. The burger was burnt to a crisp

The boneless chicken and burger was burnt to a crisp. I couldn't believe they allowed that to leave the kitchen

My boyfriend and I order food from Starvin Marvin's inside the bar using a touch kiosk. He ordered a two cheeseburger combo meal with an up charge for chicken Alfredo specialty fries. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak combo meal with an up charge for salmon fries. I guess they were out of Alfredo and instead of contacting me about the issue they threw chili on the fries and Parmesan cheese. Also, my boyfriend received half a patty on one of his burgers and didn't get any of the toppings he requested. The kiosk takes your number and says they will text you once your order is ready. Never got a text or call to ask if it's ok to sub out or about the food being ready. My philly cheesesteak tasted like an old grill and my salmon fries weren't the best either. The food looked good online. The "cook" was also outside in basketball shorts with his underwear showing smoking and came right in and started cooking. I went back in and got my $10 up charge back for the fries but they don't ever have to worry about me spending any money with them anymore. Whoever runs their IG seen my post but instead posted about her daughter on National Daughter daughters day. Outside of the owner being a homewrecker I can see why it didn't do good in Cincinnati.

Overall the food was good and the ice cream sundaes were great. Only setback is seating. there is limited outside seating and the tables were covered with flies. The food also does not look like the pictures on the website. Still good just a completely different style of lettuce on the Starvin Marvin Burger. It also is inexpensive compared to other places nowadays. Cost $26 for two burgers, fries, and ice cream sundaes. Service was alright nothing special but nothing negative. I would recommend to anyone who wants a good meal and ice cream for cheaper than most places.

What the village lacks is actual sit down food spots. (I previously worked at the Hammel House with Mrs. Bowman- we miss them!) The Butter Churn is filling a void and doing a good job at it. The menu is nice, soups- sandwiches & salad options. Our niece really enjoys their potato chips (I think they make them in house, I could be wrong.) The decor is eclectic, it feels like they have small collections and perhaps bought things locally from the antique shops. The back room had a Christmas Santa collection and it was expansive. Coca-Cola, clowns, vintage troll dolls- it all just feels like visiting someone's quirky aunts home. It feels homey and nice. The last time we went we had about twenty mins before closing and were popping in for ice cream. We were told...and reminded multiple times that they wanted to be out of the building at exactly closing time. We said we understood (I mean yes- I also love being off work on time) but the constant reminders felt like they were shoving us out the door when we were just placing ice cream orders and trying to pay. It might have just been a stressful night. We did pop in the next day and I asked about their coffee selection. The response we got was a bit dismissive and they told us "we have black coffee, we don't do any of that fancy stuff. Go down the street to Taylor's." I was going to order the regular coffee but it was off-putting so we did as they recommended and left. I know I don't *look* like a local- for obvious reasons. I don't want to believe this is why we received weird service compared to other patrons. Regardless, we have enjoyed the actual food and ice cream here. Our family likes it and visits weekly- I will just trust them that they get good consistent service every time.

Service: Drive through lines can be a little slow, but there's one window to pay and receive your icecream. It's to be expected, and you are always greeted with a smile. Credit card adds a 50 cent surcharge to your total. Otherwise, bring cash. Facilities: There are some outdoor tables that are currently removed due to COVID. The menu is large an a little overwhelming. But if you're looking for "the thing" that Tucker's is famous for, order an animal cone, which is a soft serve cone with a candy face on it. We didn't see animals cones on the menu until after we ordered, but I looked at pictures online, and they look adorable. What we did order was a cupcake milkshake (super sweet), a chocolate sundae (great), a cappuccino ice cream (it was fine) and a Dole Whip (which turned out to be pineapple-flavored soft serve, and not the vanilla ice cream with pineapple juice concoction that I'm used to). Everything we got was tasty and fun for the most part, but what makes Tucker's really cool is the outdoor seating. There are lots of tables and benches in the purple-and-green outdoor patio. It's a fun space to hang out in and get something sweet to eat on a hot day.
