I got the 4 pack of sliders which was 11.99 and came with a side . Their Mac & cheese is good and creamy . The potato wedges I added on extra - they were okay but I wouldn't get them again . Richie's or Lee's are definitely better. The sliders I got were pulled chicken , pulled pork & 2 brisket. The bbq is sweet and pickles come on the sandwich. They also have 2 other sauces . The pulled chicken had a seasoning on it that was so good . If you're in Monroe checking out the traders world like I was I definitely recommend checking it out. ! The food is good. But the service is...questionable. The cashiers hardly have any type of personality, that feels less than inviting. We have tried calling ahead of time from experiencing long waits when just going inside. The first time was on Father's Day, we called 40 minutes ahead and they said it would take that long, we only ordered two ribs. That's it..but when getting there they said 40 more minutes. We had to cancel that order because we were on the way to our Father's Day event. Today, we called an hour ahead for only three ribs, a small Mac and two corn muffins. Nothing had been prepared for our meal, they said it was slow..we asked to make sure what kind of time to give them. But when arriving we still waited like twenty minutes for our food and they still thought our order was something else entirely. Needless to say this place is literally a waist of time. I saw maybe 3-4 tables sat and all were waiting on food. No one got their food while we waited...I wish we had reliable bbq around. On top of all of that, I'm just getting to my destination now noticing they gave me six ribs and two corn muffins. Father's Day lunch . We ate here. We had a large order of smoked wings. Plus an order of French fries. And we both had a salad. Salads very good. Fries also very good. Smoked wings , average at best. Rather small and glistened from the grease. These wings appear to be smoked ahead of time, which certainly makes sense. And I am assuming, after they are ordered, they flash fry them to reheat them. So now our smoked wings have a taste of fried wings. Not horrible, but really wasn't what I was looking for. My wife thought they were marginal. We brought quite a bit of wings at home over the family. As my kids showed up throughout the evening, all three of them tried some of these wings. They agreed, marginal at best, maybe just OK. I did find the restaurant clean, and the staff are very friendly. I am no real expert, but possibly the expensive menu is to blame. I think they're trying to do too much. We like to try new places but this restaurant is absolutely horrifying! Firstly, over charged but corrected after we brought it to the cashiers attention. Out of most sodas and sweet tea. No artificial sweetener for unsweetened tea. Pumps for four BBQ sauces empty and told "Them don't work." Rib tips all had bones. Lazy workers sitting at dining tables between rushes of orders. Uncooked ribs We thought we would give it a try since it was easy to get into as the students are gone from UD for the summer. Although there were very few people in there when I walked in to do my order, they started coming in and as I did, they waited and waited and waited. It seemed very unorganized , and when I asked certain questions, nobody could answer them about different menus. Or different items on the menu. I hope for some great ribs. We were extremely disappointed. These ribs were very undercooked and so boring. I couldn't imagine how they'll stay in business. When I'm in the area, I will try a different dish but if they're Forte is supposed to be great ribs, I'm afraid it might tell what the rest of the food is like. I ordered 10 Smoked Wings with Mac n Cheese from Prime BBQ Somkehouse a few hours ago and it took 1.5 hours for the order to be ready for pickup. I called the delivery driver and he said that he'd been waiting there for almost an hour. When I called to speak to a manager, the young lady who answered the phone said that no manager or assistant manager was available. When I asked to speak to who was running the shift, she said that she was the only employee in the entire restaurant. When I mentioned the issue, she lied and said that the order was ready and hung up on me. I can confirm that this wasn't true because Grubhub updated the delivery time 3 times and I spoke with the driver. The food itself wasn't good. The dry rub wings barely had seasoning and the chicken was rubbery because they use foam takeout containers, which have no vents. Their wings essentially steam in their cheap containers. This place is awful. I do not recommend anyone going to this poorly run establishment with nonexistent customer service. read more

Having dined both with Prime BBQ and it's Doordash brand Glory Wings, I have thoughts! First, your order will be more accurate with Prime BBQ. We were missing 2 items (including potato salad) with our Glory Wings order. But, the same deliciousness at both brands! Glory Wings: THE BEST SMOKED WINGS in the area, hands down! So good, so difficult to eat, but worth it. Don't think we were able to select a sauce, but the wings are so flavorful they don't really need one. Prime BBQ: Best brisket around! Even better than my fav, Mission BBQ. Kinda the same gist here. The dish is so delectable, you almost don't need sauce. Though I wish their sauce selection was larger... The sides are very good. Do not sleep on the bakes beans! They look meh, but taste fantastic, and I don't usually like baked beans. Either brand you chose to order from, best to order, and not go in person. The online ordering needs some work, as some items have no option to choose a sauce at all (pulled pork should come with sauce, not cost extra!) While others do offer it. It's a bit pricey for sides that aren't very big and the website doesn't provide how many ounces the size of sides or sauces are. The smoked sausage is leaning toward being a hotdog, cornbread is dry and bland. The hushpuppies were good, but again, the price was pretty high for what was given... 10 small hushpuppies was $7 and the other location said $9! They were good, but idk if the price can be justified to get it again. Only reason I got them was bc I wanted to try multiple sauces and the website let you get as many as you wanted without extra dollar per sauce like other items were! The bourbon sauce is watery and reminded me of pancake syrup. The honey bbq was good and had a very sweet slightly smokey flavor, spicy bbq was same but little kick of black pepper n ground red pepper flakes I think. The jerk sauce was very good and would be awesome on wings. Pulled pork was good as anywhere else. Texas toast was really good at $1 per piece. Overall.... While the food was fairly good, with my favorite item being the hushpuppies, I think a better bbq place is and BEST OVERALL is Combs BBQ in Middletown. Or for the best burnt ends ever I'd go to Brent's Smokin' Butts in Middletown (but avoid their hotdog sausage lol). if you want good smoked sausage, I'd head to City BBQ. I'll be back! I really want to give this place at least 4 stars, if not 5. I kept my first visit pretty simple and I already know that there's plenty to choose from for a following visit or two. 1/2lb. Brisket (Meat Only) - This was not the best brisket I've ever had but, it was very very good. Great flavor, great bark and perfect seasoning. The only draw back, it was a little bit on the dry side. Not a whole lot of fat marbling either. The biggest saving grace for me on the brisket was the sauce. The meat doesn't come out sauced, which is fine. The meat should speak for itself. They serve a couple of cups of their sauce. I don't know if it's a homemade sauce or if it's a bottled sauce but it is fantastic! Compliments the meat very well and it was able to make up for that little bit of dryness. Green Beans - Good stuff! Bacony, buttery, green bean goodness. Perfect. Great spot for take out or to eat in. Go up to the counter, order what you like and find somewhere to sit. Once your food is ready, which was pretty quick for us, they bring it out to you. The interior décor had a little bit of a Route 66 meets barbecue pitmaster feeling. Would I go back? Absolutely! I can't wait to go back. There are a number of items on their menu to choose from that I can't wait to try. Again, I want to bring this rating up. This place has got the goods, I just need to get to them. Hubby & I were in the mood for BBQ so we decided to eat here. We perused the menu & then went to the counter to order. He got the $17.99 rib tips meal with 2 sides - green beans and mac & cheese. I ordered the $17.99 pulled pork meal with 2 sides - collard greens and rice & beans. Both of our meals came with Texas Toast. I asked for Tabasco or any other hot sauce & was told they didn't have any. All BBQ joints should have hot sauce! When our food was ready, it was delivered to our table. There were 3 bottles of BBQ sauce on the table - House/Hot/Carolina. My pulled pork was okay - a little fattier than it should have been. The Carolina sauce made it taste pretty good. The collards were not flavorful. The rice & beans were sweet which was strange. Hubby said his ribs tips were good but a few were tough & chewy. He loved the mac & cheese and green beans. We topped off our meal with a slice of lemon blueberry mascarpone cake for $4.99. It was just about the best cake I've ever tasted! I'd return just for that. First visit here based on some recommendations on Chowdown Cincinnati. I had some hushpuppies, a pulled pork platter and a potato salad side. The portion sizes were very generous--it was listed as 12 oz. of pulled pork, but it looked to be over a pound. Everything tasted fantastic and I had to take some home for another meal, so no room for dessert, but I intend to do dessert next visit. Friendly counter service. Well this place has gone to shit. When you get takeout they tie all the bags in knots so you cant check the order. Got home and was missing food. Called the store they told me they have no way to refund the missing items. Was supposed to get a full refund but of course that never happened. So basically get prepared to be screwed over. The Large sides are barely big enough for 1 person. Wont be eating here anymore. I don't suspect they will be in business long treating customers like that. Their brisket and shoulder/pulled pork cuts are on the fatty side, which wouldn't be a problem if they rendered it more in the prep process. So I'm going to start out with the fact that I am a bit of a bbq or smoked brisket snob. I've been wanting to try their bbq for a while and I finally got the time and attention to call in and order a single pound of brisket, and made it a combo with their homemade mac&cheese and some corn bread. The store is located in a nice spot, right off the main road and easy to see and get to. The place is clean, and I mean it's incredibly clean. Like spotless. The aroma was lovely as I got out of my car and wandered up and in to the store. I was immediately helped by one of the nice folks running the place, she asked my name, grabbed my order and off I went to take home. The aroma was quite nice on the car ride home. The pup that went with me was just sniffing around the car like a crazy dog. The brisket was a little disappointing; don't get me wrong, I like a little fat and bark on my brisket but this was a bit much. The flavor of the meat was pretty good, the mac&cheese and corn bread were just a tad bland but still, the flavor was pretty good. It definitely wasn't the best bbq, but way better than the worst I've had. The brisket was not all dried out and that's always a serious plus for me. It would make a fantastic sandwich. I will try them again and will update the post/rating. They have a ton of specials including 10% off your 1st online order and daily order specials that I've posted in the pics. I stopped here for lunch today. It's a place I've been meaning to stop at for a while now. After reading the reviews I was excited to eat here. The staff were extremely friendly and the portions were very large. Unfortunately the food was subpar at best. I went with the pick three meat platter and two sides. I received half a chicken, four rib bones which were actually seven, and brisket for the meats. The sides were coleslaw and collard greens. I did ask for cornbread but however I received a piece of garlic toast which I did not eat. Now on with the review! I will start with the sides the coleslaw was nothing spectacular your typical shredded cabbage carrots and heavy on the Marzetti dressing. There was no black pepper added all I really got from the coleslaw was a lot of dressing. I was not a fan. Next were the collard greens. Other than the overpowering flavor of onion they were very bland and very undercooked. Collard greens are a staple at barbecue joints as well as the coleslaw and should be mastered. However these were completely undercut color greens with zero flavor other than the overpowering of onion. Again was not a fan. Next let's look at the meats. I'll begin with the brisket which of the three meats was probably the best but again that's not saying much. The brisket was extremely fatty and taste almost as if it was smoked then stored in a pot of water and heat it back up again. As the review continues you will see that the other two meets had almost the same texture as if the meat was boiled after cooking. Not much flavor with the brisket. I would not recommend. Moving on to the half chicken. I received a breast wing quarter and a thigh leg quarter. The meat from the chicken had zero flavor nor did you taste any smoke. However as stated above chicken on the bone should not taste like mush and have the texture of mush but these pieces of chicken had that. They were inedible to say the least. Clearly not a fan of the chicken. Lastly I'll review the ribs. As stated above again the ribs taste as if they were pulled in from the smoker and placed in a pot of water and boil it off then tossed on a grill top to reheat. Very little Smoke ring was visible in this meet which leads me to believe that it may not have been smoked in a smoker. Again the meat tasted like it has sat in water which brought down the texture of the meat which made it very mush like. After reading the reviews and then eating the food firsthand, unfortunately I think those previous reviews are by folks who clearly don't know a good barbecue is. The only reason I gave this place to stars was because the staff was extremely friendly and the portion sizes were very large. I understand now why the portion sizes were very large they're trying to give the food away. So, I door dashed my lunch today from Prime BBQ. My order was rib tips and a side of collard greens. I got green beans substitute instead, which were inedible because of the excessive amount of salt in them. On the bright side, it appears that I got a $4.60 discount. There was absolutely no love on this plate. Rib tips are my favorite. These had the 'just get them out of the door' look. I placed my order during lunch hour between 12:00 and 12:30 - my order arrived within a reasonable amount of time, by around 1:00 - but my lunch looked like the bottom of the pan. They were greasy, there was no flavor; not even the barbeque sauce could make up for it. Most disappointing $20 + dollars I have spent on a delivery food order in a long time, and I was reminded why I don't do this often. Restaurants just don't put love on a plate anymore. So much for treating myself to a long-awaited meal out - It's payday. I thought I would splurge a little on myself, but it turns out that it wasn't worth it.
