The level of service at this location is a hit or miss - my last experience this morning (3/16/2019) through the drive through is appalling. I ordered through the mobile app for the first time and indicated that I was going to pick up my order through the drive-thru. I confirmed with the employee at the Drive-thru speaker that I had a mobile order, he verified with me my order and I confirmed with him that my coffee had addins for Splenda and creamer, and my food order should have dipping sauce options. I confirmed once again the addins (creamer and sauce) at the pick up window - note, I confirm this many times because I've had this location forget to add those extras (creamer, sugar and sauce) before. Both Marco and Dustin confirmed my sauce/creamer request. Lo and behold, I get home, and the sauce is nowhere to be found in the bag or the hash browns container, the coffee is black (so no sugar or creamer) - short of them trolling me on an order I confirmed SEVERAL times, this is simply an example of the SHEER INCOMPETENCE of this location. I wouldn't be so annoyed but the fact that I confirmed several times to ensure the extra options were added - and was reassured several times that they were, yet when I get home find that none of the add-ins were actually added to the order (sauce, creamer, sugar) - is what ticks me off. See, if any of the employees had simply checked my order before handing it off to me, I would not be here writing a one-star review. Since my first review almost three years ago when I first started eating at this location, service has gone downhill and it seems management is more interested in hiring breathing person with a pulse, rather than people who actually acknowledge customer requests and check for order accuracy. I had a catering order a few weeks ago where the lead actually yelled at me for an order detail that was already confirmed with me during my online ordering process (perhaps what she sees on the restaurant end is not the same as the order screen that the customer sees when placing a catering order) - still, she was more snide than polite. Chick-fil-A needs to remember they are not the only restaurants near UCI area that offer catering - I've had successful catering orders with BETTER service at places like Specialty's (off Bison/California), Panera Bread (Bison/MacArthur), Corner Bakery (they delivered) - to name a few. read more

This is the worst Chick-Fil-A I have ever been to. Their inaccuracy in fulfilling orders and overall incompetence of some of the employees is appalling. On three occasions, they forgot to include the sauce. The first two times it happened, I totally got burned since I didn't realize it until I got home. The third time it happened, I checked inside the bag before I left the restaurant. Since I noticed the missing sauce, I was able to ask an employee for some sauce. Another time, when I ordered 12 piece nuggets. However, I only got eleven in my order. I mean, how do they not know how to count?! And another time when I waited for my mobile order, the employee never called out my name. All he did was put my order on a shelf. My app said my order was ready, but I had not seen a single employee come out and call my name. After about 5 mins, I thought I would inquire about the bag of food on their shelf. As it turned out, that was my order! And the fact that the employee looked visibly annoyed that I flagged him down to ask about my order really disappointed me. One final thing I will mention is their app. I have been using the Chick-Fil-A app to order since it would be more accurate and more convenient... IN THEORY. However, something happened when they updated the app about a year ago. Back in the day, they would start your order when you placed the order in your app. Now, they won't start your order until you arrive at the restaurant. So, you're still stuck waiting at the restaurant for your order. If I'm Still forced to wait up to 10 mins for an order, it seems like there is no difference between using the app and walking up to the counter and ordering. So doesn't that defeat the purpose of the app? I could go on and on, but that's all I can think of. I have never had any issues at any other Chick-Fil-A. Just this one. read more

I can only write from the two in-person experiences I had so far. (just started trying out Chick-fil-A's food) My first ever visit was on a Thursday evening. The ordering experience went a little bumpy since I was redirected to another cashier (I mistakenly went up to the closest cashier to place my order). It took a while for me to receive my ordered items as there were other waiting customers. My second visit was on a Tuesday morning. This time, there was a small waiting line, but it moved quickly. After I finished paying for my order (breakfast meal item), I was surprised that it was instantly ready. All of the chicken meat tastes flavorful and juicy. From the three items that had chicken meat, I don't have any concerns with the Chick-n-Strips at all. I thought one of the nuggets had a strange shape. I also noticed that there was a partial cut on the chicken meat of the Chicken Biscuit. I'm not sure if these should be concerning? (despite the unusual appearances, I still ate them & did not feel ill afterwards) The Waffle Potato Fries have a soft crunch, nothing special about the taste. A lot of smaller fry bits at the bottom half. I personally thought that the opening process of the [barbeque] sauce was frustrating. Not only was it hard to pick up the corner tab of the covering, but it rips toward the middle instead of a single perfect rip. The biscuit of the sandwich was a bit fragile with as it slightly broke apart on its own when holding it. The Hash Browns are light & airy. The Diet Lemonade is refreshing. read more

I was just in the drive through here not 5 minutes ago and ordered a sandwich and chicken nuggets. I waited over 25 minutes to get to the window and when I got there the worker told me to go into the parking lot to wait more for my order. I told him I'd been there for 25 minutes and asked how much longer it would take. He said he didn't know and, out of nowhere, said if i wanted it faster I should go back into the kitchen and make it myself. I asked if he was serious and he apparently was serious. So I asked for the manager, this rather nervous guy who is clearly a meatball, and when he came out I asked him if that was normal procedure to be rude and disrespectful to customers and he didn't have a response for me. After a few choice words I asked for my money back and asked how I could complain and he told me to go to their website. THIS PLACE IS TRASH. Update: I checked my credit card and they actually lied to me about the refund, they literally just took my money without giving me anything in return and lied to me about a refund. One of the most mediocre in the chain. I had a free chicken sandwich coupon they gave out after a long wait time. I try to redeem it and the manager thinks I'm a criminal scammer, inspecting the coupon like it's legal tender. He eventually says fine, but I'm keeping it so you don't use it again...okay? People in general need to stop going to these chains that squeeze profits from customers, cut work time and wages from employees and cry/blame inflation. $15 for a chicken sandwich that's basic? Thought I used to like the chick-fil-a sauce the most, but I was wrong, the Polynesian sauce pretty nice.The honey roasted bbq is also nice, a very good alternative to chickfila sauce since the calories is way less. I was surprised on how tender the strips were, they were juicy which was not what I was expecting. Favorite sandwich gotta be number seven with no tomato with that honey roasted bbq sauce on top. I had a Cobb Salad today. The website description: Nuggets, pressure-cooked, sliced and served hot on a fresh bed of chopped Romaine lettuce and baby greens, topped with shredded red cabbage and carrots, roasted corn kernels, a blend of shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses, crumbled bacon, diced eggs and grape tomatoes. It was absolutely amazing with crispy red bell peppers and avocado lime dressing. The Romaine and baby greens were fresh and held up well under all the toppings. I've had their spicy chicken sandwich. It is GOO - OOD! I'll have to have another before I decide if it's gonna dethrone my current favorite from Wendy's. I hate to compare the two because they are different animals. This is a busy store, located just across from the UCI campus. There's always a long line at the drive-thru, but inside the cashiers keep everything moving along nicely. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to place my order nor more than 10 minutes to get it delivered to me. I think this may be a relatively new location as everything looks like it's just been installed and steam cleaned - or it could be a testament to the staff. They're always so friendly and ready with a smile. I love that they offer a carafe of lemon water at the counter. Free to anyone who asks. I went into chick-fil-a tonight, I ordered a milkshake, a small fruit bowl and chicken nuggets. I ordered at 7:54 and got my food at 8:27. It was not busy at all and many people who ordered after me got their food before I did. I asked multiple times at the counter if it was ready to which they repeatedly told me it wasn't. I finnaly went up to the counter where I was met with a black haired female employee with large gold hoops. I asked if my food was ready to which she replied VERY rudely replied it had been ready for a long time, which I knew it was not!! I recived my MELTED milkshake and ICE COLD chicken nuggets. Absolutely disgusting food and customer service! It was horrible experience that made me feel very disappointed as I'm usually a loyal customer. I will not be attending this chick-fil-a until reparations are made. I have NEVER felt so disrespected as a paying customer. Today, I went in telling the cashier how excited I was to eat their Mac n cheese since I'd had a tooth surgery the day before, and this was the first food I'd been able to eat in over a day. The staff here are usually friendly and stellar but every time I go there, I dread being serviced by this one particular person (we'll call her "aIMee"). She is the only one giving haughty/smug/ arrogant vibes. She makes me feel like she can't be bothered or an unwelcomed guest. Ate here last Thursday afternoon for a quick late lunch. It wasn't that crowded as it was around 4 pm. I had the chicken sandwich with diet lemonade and fruit. I hate their waffle fries, they have no flavor or seasoning, so I don't eat them. Honestly, paying $12 for fast food: chicken sandwich, lemonade, and a few pieces of fruit is a total ripoff. Even if I got the fires, I would have still paid $10 for hardly any food. I wanted a light meal, but maybe next time I will go to Jack in the Box instead. Fast and attentive service. Waffle cut fries +1. Nuggets are kind of small, but an 8-piece with fries filled me up for ~$6. Dipping sauces galore. Sweet and spicy dipping sauce is bomb. Ranch is super creamy/thick. I don't go to chick-fil-a a lot. So this was pretty new to me. I love waffle cut fries so I'll probably be back. This is the best place to get a chicken sandwich or chicken nuggets if you're in a pinch and near the Uc Irvine campus. Chick-fil-A always has great service and this location is no exception! The employees are always polite and give you what you want with a smile on their face. I come here once in a while and usually get the chicken sandwich meal with fries and the lemonade to cut the fat. Chick-fil-A sauce is a must! I never had Chick-fil-A before coming to this location and it definitely lived up to the hype. Their chicken is fresh, crispy and absolutely delicious. I also love that this location sends out coupons annually for free sandwiches and nuggets! Keep your eyes peeled for those coupons in the mail if you want to save a few bucks and eat here.
