This Chick Fil A location used to be such a go to spot for us for years but since management changed, it's been terrible. Both my wife and I ended up with very bad food poisoning after eating chicken sandwiches there yesterday evening. Almost 24hrs later, our stomachs are still in complete shambles. On top of this, they can honestly never get an order correct. Every time we go, something is missing. Even yesterday. Ordered two fruit cups with our meal, and then we get home, and they are not there! Lastly, the poor girl in the drive through taking orders was SUPER sick. Constantly sniffling when taking our order and she was definitely doing her best but she should not have been face to face with customers. We will go out of our way to go to another Chick Fil A from now on even though we reside in Foothill Ranch. Zero chance this location ever gets business from us again. I have a good deal of rewards through the Chick Fil A app, so I decided to get breakfast here one Saturday morning. I converted my rewards to an order, and then realized you have to let them know when you arrive at the drive thru, so I went ahead and drove over and did so. There was someone in the line taking the orders, so I just let him know I had an app order. He found it right away, and then confused me completely. Haha. I wanted to verify their diet lemonade was sugar free. They usually are, but he said no. It has Splenda sugar. Which... I believe still makes it sugar free, as Splenda is a sugar substitute. I was so confused though so I cancelled that and just asked for an ice water. My order was ready by the time I got to the window, the line was a bit long, but it worked out perfect. Terribly managed location. Employees consistently forget to include items or give incorrect items. When management was contacted they had a number of excuses and weren't willing to resolve the issue. Drive an extra few minutes to the MV location. It's a newer store and the employees are supported by a management team that actually cares about the customers and doing a good job. read more

This Chick-fil-A is the closest one to our house but we consistently choose to go to the one down the road. They have messed up our orders frequently and their customer service has been terrible on multiple occasions. They closed early for the holiday today (understandable) and the drive thru worker was really rude to us as she said we were not going to be able to order since we showed up right at closing time. We tried to ask a follow up question and she ignored us and preceded to put a cone in front of our car to block us from going further and then walked away. We will keep going to our favorite Chick-fil-A down the road (near Trabuco High School) where we get excellent service and kindness every time. I suggest that you do the same. read more

I often go to this chick fil a over the El Toro one because it's easily better. However, my last two services have definitely been poor. While the staff is extremely nice, they always forget my order. Today we ordered sit down for 2 meals. They forget the drink and the sauce. No problem, we let them know. They come back with just the water cups and chick fil a sauce for one meal. I asked again, they finally bring me another set of sauce and the lemonade. They forget the milkshake this time and I have to go up and ask again. However, a lady who ordered 15 minutes before me receives both her milkshakes before we did. Another instance was a week ago. They also forgot the sauce and drinks. Again, they didn't bring all the drinks so we had to wait twice. Tonight was by far the worst experience ever . 1) I couldn't understand the guy taking my order he spoke SO fast , I had to ask him to repeat himself at least 5 times. 2) the young girl at the drive up window practically threw my drinks and food at me. This Chick-Fil-A location is the closest to my home so I've gone to this particular Chick-Fil-A restaurant at least four times a month since it opened in 2013 - meaning I've patronized Chick-fil-A Foothill Ranch over 430 times. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! In the last 2 years the food quality has consistently declined! There have been NUMEROUS ISSUES with overcooked (burned) chicken, breakfast minis where the biscuits were harder than bricks (& saturated in their honey sauce), cold food, and even undercooked (raw) chicken (thankfully the raw chicken issue only happened once.) Food quality issues aren't the only problem, though. The extreme lack of customer care is the biggest issue! The owner, Julie Thornsberry, seems to think throwing an email for a complimentary sandwich or waffle fry will suffice whilst never addressing the actual problem! One of the times (they've overcharged me multiple times) when I was double charged, I called the restaurant after they didn't pickup and their voicemail was full, so I called the CFA Cares line. I was promised that the owner would contact me within a given time frame. Aside from sending an email for a complimentary item, Ms. Thornsberry never responded and has never responded nor addressed any problems brought up by customers. The prior owner (Erik Baker) would always contact his customers and would work diligently to correct any problems, even going so far as to refund my entire $28.35 order one time. He exhibited true care for his customers and exemplary attention to detail. On the contrary, Julie Thornsberry has 'no refunds' proudly displayed on her receipts. The long drive-thru lines & inattention to orders is further proof of how poorly run this Chick-fil-A location is. Thornsberry's has a history of calling police on customers! She snapped at them threatened to call police on a neighborhood acquaintance who requested an extra sauce and recently called the police on another neighbor who asked about their order. This owner's poor treatment of the people who patronize her location are why I WILL NEVER go back to this Chick-Fil-A again until they get a new owner/operator. The ONLY POSITIVE is that the young people working at this location are friendly and kind. Don't waste your time or money here unless you wish to have someone be rude to you. I upgraded my fries to a large. We got two meals with both large fries... they stack the fries and only filled it about 60 percent of the way. I get that we are in covid but I payed extra to get less fries... I really go to chic-fil-a for the fries... I'm not trying to be petty but it was a huge disappointment. I have been going to this Chick-fil-A location FSU (#02361) since it's opening and have found that recently their servings size is getting smaller and smaller. They used to have great customer service checking the meal you ordered before you drove up to the window for pickup. I recently drove through on a very wet and raining evening 03/21/2023 (early this week) and it was pouring rain and cars were lined up about 15 cars. Anyways, I ordered a 12 piece crispy chicken nugget meal with medium fries, with a small fruit cup. When I got home I was surprised as I only received 9 pieces of chicken instead of 12 pcs, and the amount of french fries was about 7. I have cell phone picture to prove it if anyone wants to see. Customer order number 5855159 I called Chick-Fil-A Cares and opened up a case number (that was four days ago) and have heard nothing back. Called Chick-Fil-A Cares again and they contacted the store. I am so very disappointed at the customer service at this location on Portola Parkway. I went to this location and ordered sandwiches with waffle fries. The fries tasted awful. They were undercooked (not nice and crispy, or golden brown like usual) and had a bad aftertaste. Maybe the oil wasn't changed often enough, they used a different oil, or the cooking timer was off, but I have eaten at other Chick-fil-a's and the waffle fries have been amazing. I asked one person for new fries and tried to explain they didn't taste right. She gave me new fries but they were exactly the same and something was off. Next, I tried to talk to a second staff member and they basically dismissed my concern and walked away. So I submitted written feedback, only to be contacted by the local manager who said I should have returned the fries. She didn't offer any apologies or attempt to make things right. No other fast food restaurant has such poor customer service. When there is a mistake, or a low quality item, or an issue with the food/service, the managers make it right by offering some small token for the inconvenience. I asked for a refund of the fries or to have one order of fries added to my account and she refused, saying I should have returned the fries at the restaurant. I explained again that I did try to talk to someone about it and return the fries, however the man just walked away from me. Again this manager had no sympathy or concern. Who in their right mind would still try to return the bad item when the restaurant staff was rude to them? I am beyond disappointed and won't eat there again. This is not my experience at my local Chick-fil-a which has amazing fries. There are several other bad reviews about this location. I placed an order before breakfast ended, got in drive through line to pick up before breakfast ended since they weren't allowing anyone in restaurant. I called to make sure I should be in the drive through just in case. Breakfast ends before I get to the pick up window & I am told sorry: we "wasted all the egg." No mention of refund and the person hung up. This is a terrible representation of the franchise. I'll admit it right from the start - I am a fan of Chick-fil-A. They make a good chicken sandwich, their milkshakes are delicious and I'm a Chick-fil-A sauce junkie which is probably the real reason I keep coming back. The chain is known for their great customer service and this location excels at that. The food is as good as you'd get at any location. And boy howdy do they keep the place clean. Every time I visit it's been packed (although the line moves quickly). Admittedly it's a bit smaller inside than most locations I've been to so maybe that's why it always seems so busy. They have a great kids play area and plenty of parking plus a drive-thru. I recently unknowingly went in for a milkshake on cow appreciation day; it's one day per year where if you dress up like a cow you get free food! I couldn't figure out why everyone had cow costumes and masks on until one of the employees clued me in. I attempted to inflate a rubber glove and pass it off as an udder but they weren't buying it. Oh I had kind of written off this specific Chick-fil-A because a few months ago I had several not good experiences with my food as well as the customer service. I live in Foothill Ranch so I decided to give it one more shot because my daughter likes the food so much. The food was great and the customer service was outstanding. In my 38 years of life I have never had someone so kind and so helpful than Jonathan. He asked us several times if we needed anything and even cleared our table and got us refills on our drinks. We were greeted as we left and they thanked us for coming. Whatever the owners are doing currently and have changed in the last few months keep it up. Because of this experience I will be back a lot more. The current staff inside the restaurant is what made this lunch date so memorable. read more

I tried to chalk it up to post COVID issues but then was informed there was a change in management. The place needs a serious cleaning...the seats are torn, trash in the corners and don't even get me started on the play area. I'm sad to see this place go downhill. Service was super slow. They forgot my salad dressing, didn't realize this till I drove all the way home. I am normally a Chick-fil-A fan, just not this location. I love going to Chick-fil-A, I go there so much that I am Signature status at Chick-fil-A app. I totally love their breakfast. And their lunch is pretty good too, usually for lunch I get their Cobb Salad. I totally recommend their sweet tea, and I totally recommend their milkshakes. Oh, also the ice cream cones known as IceDream. And if you go for breakfast like I usually do, make sure to try their vanilla iced coffee. Trust me, you won't regret it. Since the change in management this Chick-fil-A has seriously declined. The last few visits have been mediocre at best! The last visit we saw the new owner or manager attempting to work the drive-through, but she was causing mass confusion. Not only frustrating myself and many other customers, but I could see the staff was annoyed. They had an outdoor space for ordering along with the drive-through, but today there is no more outdoor ordering. I understand we are under certain requirements due to COVID-19, but the other Chick-fil-A's still allow ordering food to go inside their establishment along with numerous other restaurants and fast food establishments. Good store location and really great service. Surprised to see some low ratings as the food and service at this location is on par to the chick fil a standards. The drive thru can get extremely backed up but the dine in experience is A-ok. Upon entering it was packed but luckily there were several cashiers behind the counter that were taking orders efficiently. Service is great too because they will bring the food to your table.
