I wanted to update my review, because there were some difference today, all of which were positive. Meats - Sausage 5/5: This is first time that we can recall it being scored and basted. It was not nearly as smokey, but it was still delicious still with a great snap. - Ribs 4.5/5: The sauce was sweeter and the bark had a bit more chew, without as much smoke. They were very tender and pulled right off of the bone. Sides - Dirty Rice 5/5: The pieces of pork belly were great, and the black pepper is just the right amount. - Vegetables 5/5: There was a mustard sauce that we did not recall, but it was complimentary. The shishito peppers make this dish. The Cowboy Platter (Friday and Saturday) really is a great deal. Their pick-up process is smooth, and the staff is always kind. I found the self-serve station with the pickles, pickled onions, and banan peppers. The vinegar forward options pair well with all meats and sauces. read more

Disappointed. We found this place and thought it looked really good, so we decided to give it a try. We went in several hours before closing, but when we got up to order, we were told they were already out of the brisket, ribs, dirty rice, and a few other items. We were definitely bummed, but figured we'd make it work. What made it more disappointing was when we asked if there were any substitutions available for the items they were out of, we were immediately told "no." At that point, our options were pretty limited. The only meats available were pulled pork and chicken. I completely understand that restaurants sell out of popular items, especially BBQ spots, but being out of that many menu items well before closing and not offering any flexibility or substitutions made for a frustrating experience. avengers assemble! we came here about an hour before closing on a Saturday night and parking was super easy, as we parked right out front just past 8:30 PM. basically felt like having a quinjet parking spot waiting just for us lol we walked right up to the counter and asked for suggestions, given the very expensive menu. the nice young gentleman recommended The Cowboy Plate, which is specific to a Saturday special. we saw that they have a different daily specials. this particular one came with brisket, sausage, and ribs. we had a selection of three sides and some Texas toast. the three sides we got were Korean coleslaw, pork, and beans, and seasonal vegetables. you could tell a lot of love and care were taken into all of this, as the sides were even excellent! even something as simple as seasonal vegetables had over a half dozen different vegetables, which gave it a wonderful flavor. the Korean coleslaw was unique and really hit the spot with a slight kick of spice, but not too much,, kinda reminded me of that chaos magic heat from scarlet witch tbh. the pork and beans were very well seasoned and had excellent flavor and texture. of course, all three of the meats were very well smoked and extremely tender. they basically fell apart easier than thanos's army. and they have a separate sauce bar and pickled vegetable bar. we liked all three of the barbecue sauces, but our absolute favorite was the mustard barbecue sauce. the other two were also excellent. seriously that sauce bar is like the infinity gauntlet of flavors the service was super attentive as they came and checked in on us a couple of times. it was like they had actual spidey-sense to know exactly when we needed something. indoor seating was spacious with the tables, not being overly close to one another, and they even have the hand wash station. this is likely to clean your hands after all of the wonderful barbecue that we ate with our hands. the whole place was as roomy and comfortable as hanging at the avengers compound. it definitely five stars and will definitely come back again! read more

We had Ribbro Bbq cater my friend's son's 1st birthday...and we are so happy that we did. THEY TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING. Though for the price, I do believe it should always be like that. They are pricey, but what REAL BBQ spot isn't? It's expensive because it takes time, money, and effort to put out a product that's worthy of being called BBQ. Mama took care of our order, and went over the itemized list with us before we loaded up. Customer service 101. Inside is pretty typical of an OC BBQ Spot, wood/brown; however it was clean and spaced well. All the food was delicious...with my favorite being the burnt ends. The smoke flavor was well absorbed, and the meat not dry at all. That is literally the biggest fear of purchasing large order of smoked meats. The Kim Chi slaw is refreshing, and a new take on an otherwise typical/lackluster side. BBQ beans were nice touch on a classic. Potato salad and Mac n Cheese were also very good. Bread came un-toasted, and we were explained to that, that is not how it is usually done in-house, however with such a large order, it came to us plain. Not a deal breaker really, and honestly the correct way to do this. The side of BBQ sauce, all the utensils came packaged for us. I had no idea this was here, and it's 10 minutes from my house. I had to give it a shot once I found it. This isn't your traditional bbq spot like you might find in Texas. I'll be nice. Pork belly burnt ends - cooked well, but not a fan of the Asian(ish) glaze. They were actually really good, but not traditional bbq. Brisket - cooked okay, but they were soggy like they've been just been sitting covered up with pieces stacked on top of each other. They were just okay. Pork ribs(spareribs) - were obviously sitting a while. A little dry, but a decent pull off the bone. Not a fan of the pepper rub. Sausage - tasted like bologna. I like smoked bologna, but these had no smoke to them. Not a fan. Mac 'n cheese - obviously used that packaged creamy cheese. It wasn't bad, though. Beans - not a fan. Pre-made and not good. I'll eat here again just to get the pork belly burnt ends. Unfortunately, this place is about average for California. I hope they do well. The staff here is really friendly. They got 3 stars due to the burnt ends and great staff. I recommend you give this place a shot, but set your expectations to California bbq and not Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas City, or the Carolina's. read more

We came on a Saturday around 1pm, it was not too busy. The fries were 10/10. It's crispy, well seasoned and I want an entire bag of it. The fried rice was 10/10, sooo good and kinda wish I ordered more of it since I was sharing this with my friends. The pork ribs were honestly forgettable. It's good but not great. However the SAUCES! Gave Ribbro BBQ another shot. I was in the area and wanted BBQ, and although I have not had very good experiences at this location, I opted to give it another shot. As every experience I had at this location, the service was incredible, the people working here are always super polite, very helpful and friendly. This time I ordered the Brisket and a big Korean Beef Short Rib (one bone). The Brisket was tender and juicy, I would still have preferred a little more salt, but honestly I am partial to Texas style and this is BBQ with an Asian flair, so I guess that might be why it's just not as salty as I like, not that it wasn't good, it's just my preference. The Korean Beef Short Rib was also very tender and very flavorful, and not dry at all. I did not order sides cause that's just not my thing, when I go to BBQ, I am just there to eat the meat. American BBQ with a bit of a Korean flair? Sign me up. Truthfully, I think I've been spoiled with BBQ after living in Austin for a couple years. California may have Texas beat in a lot of things, but Texas has the upper hand when it comes to smokehouses. All this to say that I'm used to getting completely blown away from BBQ, and Ribbro didn't quite match that level. We got the Brisket, Pork Belly Ends, Pork Ribs, and Sausage. Brisket and Sausage were great! Pork Ribs had a nice crust but felt a bit dry to me. What Ribbro really has locked down are the sides. Hot damn! I was not expecting to be impressed by "seasonal veggies" but that broccoli may have been the best I've had in a long while. Potato salad was delicious and not heavy. And I absolutely loved the kimchi coleslaw (wasn't spicy for me). Very refreshing side to eat with your BBQ. Service was nice and friendly, and I liked the presentation of their plates too. I do think they're holding back on the heat a bit. For items labeled as "spicy," I was expecting them to pack some kind of punch. Even their red gochujang sauce, albeit very tasty, barely had any spice. One last pro for them: we don't get BBQ like this often because these kind of meals are very heavy. Our first experience with this place was fantastic! Even though it was a busy Saturday, we tried their Saturday special and everything was absolutely delicious. To top it off, the service was super friendly, which made us instant fans. Because that first experience was so great, we decided to cater from here to celebrate my son's graduation. This was about 7 months after the first time I went by myself. I finally thought there was an amazing bbq place around here. Well our trip that time was disappointing. Chaotic service tonight. Started with order online saying it would be ready in 2 mins. I gave them 20mins and it still was not ready when I go there. Lots of customers standing around confused as there only one lady working the front. She had a large order and still forgot an item she had to run out to a customers car as they were driving away. Ambiance was nice but it was the previous decor from the previous restaurant I was told by a friend. Brisket seemed like pot roast. I would not order again. I would like to try the ribs if I had to go back. Potato salad was good, cornbread was ok, and banana pudding was great. They forgot my Texas Toast that was supposed to come with my meal. Love this place! it's Texas BBQ with a Korean twist! They have a couple other locations but this was the first for us. We tried a little bit of everything. Got a Friday night special, Cowboy Dinner, a pork belly sandwich, 1/2 chicken, peach cobbler, banana pudding and a bunch of sides. Standouts for us were the brisket, chicken, pork belly, Mac n cheese, fries, kimchi slaw, beans and their 2 bbq sauces. My top pick would be the Gochujang pork belly. It was so tender, not too spicy and just overall melted in my mouth. My favorite side would be their crispy fries (whole family loved it). Another top pick would be their chicken with their Gochujang bbq sauce. Yum! My least favorite thing would be their seasonal veggies and banana pudding. Veggies were just ok in my opinion and my husband didn't like it at all because it was too much mayo and seasoning. The banana pudding was just ok. A bit too liquidy to be pudding. Some people may like these though. Just wasn't our faves. We ordered takeout and the lady on the phone was super friendly. Order was ready right when we got there. They have a condiments bar with bbq sauces, pickled onions (which were ahhhmazzzing!), pickle slices and peppercinis. They even have sliced bread available for self service. We finally tried this place after months of it being on our list. The one time we finally came to try it they were closed I think because of the incident at the Chase branch. Soo 2nd attempt we ordered out for dinner and the special was the cowboy dinner. This one was a great sampler and was great! They have sauces and a couple sides to load up on included. I liked their house sauces the best and the Korean infused one was interesting. I think the sausage definitely needed the mustard sauce with it and overall we'll definitely be coming back. We basically tried a little of everything and have zero complaints. The gojujang burnt ends were a real standout, I've never had anything like it. This spot was super close to where I was, and when I saw they had daily specials with incredible prices, I knew I had to try them out. I got the Friday & Saturday Cowboy Special which came with brisket, ribs, sausage, and three sides of choice: corn bread, kimchi coleslaw, onion rings, all for about $42 including tax. My order was ready in less than five minutes from when I ordered it, amazing! This location is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. The restaurant itself was very western-themed, and had plenty of tables. They also offer a self-serve station with sauces, drinks, utensils, etc. They have three different kinds of BBQ sauce here: regular bbq, gojuchang bbq, and honey mustard bbq. I, of course, got all three because they sounded all so good! When I got home and unpacked my food, I was really surprised at how much food there was! I shared the meal with my partner, and we couldn't even finish it! There were about 4 ribs, 5 slices of brisket, and what feels like 1-2 sausages chopped up.
