    Brisket sandwich

A colleague and I had lunch at Ribbro recently, and I was pretty happy with my lunch. As you would kind of expect with the barbecue place, the food was pretty expensive, but they did have a lunch special with a brisket sandwich and it was pretty damn good. After I had finished my meal, I noticed that they had a pickle and onion bar. I sampled a few of them and they were delicious. It would've gone excellent with my lunch. I mentioned that they needed a big sign to the owners and they were super nice. The ambience was good kind of a dark lit barbecue place. I might come back. I don't know it's pretty expensive.

We had Ribbro Bbq cater my friend's son's 1st birthday...and we are so happy that we did. THEY TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING. Though for the price, I do believe it should always be like that. They are pricey, but what REAL BBQ spot isn't? It's expensive because it takes time, money, and effort to put out a product that's worthy of being called BBQ. Mama took care of our order, and went over the itemized list with us before we loaded up. Customer service 101. Inside is pretty typical of an OC BBQ Spot, wood/brown; however it was clean and spaced well. All the food was delicious...with my favorite being the burnt ends. The smoke flavor was well absorbed, and the meat not dry at all. That is literally the biggest fear of purchasing large order of smoked meats. The Kim Chi slaw is refreshing, and a new take on an otherwise typical/lackluster side. BBQ beans were nice touch on a classic. Potato salad and Mac n Cheese were also very good. Bread came un-toasted, and we were explained to that, that is not how it is usually done in-house, however with such a large order, it came to us plain. Not a deal breaker really, and honestly the correct way to do this. The side of BBQ sauce, all the utensils came packaged for us. Again, for the price, it should, but its always a nice touch that they actually did. I would love to come back and try some of their other dishes and meats. Thank you again Ribbro for making my friend's son's birthday a hit!

This place looks like a mom and pop spot owned by Korean family. The vibes were giving ~Texas ~ which was funny bc the cashier was an older Korean lady. We came on a Saturday around 1pm, it was not too busy. The fries were 10/10. It's crispy, well seasoned and I want an entire bag of it. The fried rice was 10/10, sooo good and kinda wish I ordered more of it since I was sharing this with my friends. The pork ribs were honestly forgettable. It's good but not great. However the SAUCES! They were amazinnggggg and I love that they give you pickled vegetables too (very Korean of them haha). We had a lot of fun trying the different sauces. It's a great time

The food here is amazing! We found this restaurant by chance and the meats are so flavorful and tender - you're basically guaranteed to like whatever you order. Co workers and I came here and we ordered a variety of meats from ribs to brisket as well as coleslaw, mac & cheese and their chips. These were so delicious and the price point wasn't bad either. Oh yeah, they also provide free toast with your orders and everything pairs together so well. The servers are super nice and helpful, and you always feel welcomed as soon as you enter the restaurant. If you like meats and/or bbq, this place is for you. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Cornbread. Soft and lightly sweet, it had the classic crumbly texture that demanded a drizzle of honey.

The foodie sidekick picked up dinner for us and what I thought was going to be food for two, ended up being food for six. We had leftovers for dayyysss. THE FOOD. Ribbro Sampler (6 Meats + 4 Sides). Because he felt we needed to try almost all the meats and sample a variety of sides. Here's the breakdown... - Andouille Sausage. Smoky with a peppery snap and a mildly spicy finish. - Pork Ribs. These ribs carried a deep hickory aroma with a sweet-savory glaze; the Korean dry rub added a subtle heat that crept in after each bite. It is a bit on the firm side, but remained juicy. - Chicken. Tender and slightly sweet from the bulgogi brine with a gentle smokiness. - Pulled Pork. Juicy and lightly seasoned with smoky undertones. - Pork Belly Burnt Ends. These little cubes of happiness delivered rich, melty pork belly wrapped in a caramelized crust with a spicy-sweet gochujang kick. - Beef Brisket. Smoky and finished with a subtle Korean spice. It was a bit dry, but still good. - Tangy Slaw. Bright and crisp, the slaw gave a sharp vinegar pop that cut beautifully through all the richness. - Cornbread. Soft and lightly sweet, it had the classic crumbly texture that demanded a drizzle of honey. - Potato Salad. Creamy with light seasoning. The soft potatoes & crisp veggies were the perfect contrast that made every bite comforting. - BBQ Beans. Bathed in a rich sweet/tangy sauce, the beans were a hearty side dish that paired well with the meats. THE VERDICT. Ribbro delivered a meat medley of smoky, Korean-influenced BBQ that were all tasty. And, can confirm that leftovers are good over a period of days.

Dude this place is amazing, favorite bbq spot in Irvine/ Lake Forrest area. I ordered the kimchi slaw, 1/2 lb of brisket, and bbq beans, and cornbread and toast. I must say everything was super good, brisket was juicy and tender. Beans had great flavor which wasn't too salty, and the slaw had the perfect amount of acidity. This place is such a home run, try it now! I wish I tried the ribs will be back!

American BBQ with a bit of a Korean flair? Sign me up. Truthfully, I think I've been spoiled with BBQ after living in Austin for a couple years. California may have Texas beat in a lot of things, but Texas has the upper hand when it comes to smokehouses. All this to say that I'm used to getting completely blown away from BBQ, and Ribbro didn't quite match that level. We got the Brisket, Pork Belly Ends, Pork Ribs, and Sausage. Brisket and Sausage were great! Pork Ribs had a nice crust but felt a bit dry to me. What Ribbro really has locked down are the sides. Hot damn! I was not expecting to be impressed by "seasonal veggies" but that broccoli may have been the best I've had in a long while. Potato salad was delicious and not heavy. And I absolutely loved the kimchi coleslaw (wasn't spicy for me). Very refreshing side to eat with your BBQ. Service was nice and friendly, and I liked the presentation of their plates too. I do think they're holding back on the heat a bit. For items labeled as "spicy," I was expecting them to pack some kind of punch. Even their red gochujang sauce, albeit very tasty, barely had any spice. One last pro for them: we don't get BBQ like this often because these kind of meals are very heavy. I end up feeling quite sluggish afterwards. I didn't get that feeling after this meal!

I have been here twice. The first time I went, it was an easy 5 stars. The food was delicious and hot. The corn bread was fantastic! The second time I brought my wife and really hyped it up. This was about 7 months after the first time I went by myself. I finally thought there was an amazing bbq place around here. Well our trip that time was disappointing. The food was okay but not hot like the last time. And they changed their cornbread! The first time I had it, you could tell it was homemade and fresh. The second time I got it, you could tell it came from a package and it was smaller and not hot. A real bummer when a place starts off good and then cuts corners to cut costs and still charges the same prices to customers.

Delicious bbq spot and very unique sides and sauces. They have kimchi slaw and gochujang bbq sauce which were both delicious. The Mac and cheese was soooo good! Highly recommend the ribs and brisket 10/10. They have self service water and sodas. Also picked onions pickles and banana peppers on the side. Great for a big group!

This was our 2nd visit, we've been craving good bbq. I had the St. Louis style 1/2 rack ribs with Mac and cheese and he had the stuffed cornbread, beans and a side of cornbread. The food here is really quality and the flavors are awesome. We went at 5:00pm on a Wednesday and we were one of two parties there surprisingly. Only thing this time I wasn't too stoked on my ribs weren't really hot and the Mac and cheese was lukewarm with unmelted shredded cheese sprinkled on top. If I wasn't starving and tired I would have asked for it to be warmed up, but the flavors were so good I just powered through We'll be back!!!!!

Random lunch stop on a hot Friday--so glad we found this place! Service was super friendly and attentive (they'll even warm up your toast!). What we ordered: * Pulled pork - perfectly cooked, super flavorful * Sausage - insanely addictive * Brisket sandwich - tender, buttery, packed with flavor * French fries - thick cut, crispy, MUST ORDER * Slaw & kimchi slaw - decent sides * Sauces - especially the extra spicy one, next-level good Me and my boyfriend loved it here--can't wait to come back! y have Cute free stickers lol!! Also: nice and clean Sauce bar station with outside Sink for convenience Overall, 5/5 !

Chaotic service tonight. Started with order online saying it would be ready in 2 mins. I gave them 20mins and it still was not ready when I go there. Lots of customers standing around confused as there only one lady working the front. She had a large order and still forgot an item she had to run out to a customers car as they were driving away. Ambiance was nice but it was the previous decor from the previous restaurant I was told by a friend. Brisket seemed like pot roast. I would not order again. I would like to try the ribs if I had to go back. Potato salad was good, cornbread was ok, and banana pudding was great. They forgot my Texas Toast that was supposed to come with my meal. And I was not given any sort of bbq sauce? With places like Wood Ranch around, I will not be returning.

Love this place! it's Texas BBQ with a Korean twist! They have a couple other locations but this was the first for us. We tried a little bit of everything. Got a Friday night special, Cowboy Dinner, a pork belly sandwich, 1/2 chicken, peach cobbler, banana pudding and a bunch of sides. Standouts for us were the brisket, chicken, pork belly, Mac n cheese, fries, kimchi slaw, beans and their 2 bbq sauces. My top pick would be the Gochujang pork belly. It was so tender, not too spicy and just overall melted in my mouth. My favorite side would be their crispy fries (whole family loved it). Another top pick would be their chicken with their Gochujang bbq sauce. Yum! My least favorite thing would be their seasonal veggies and banana pudding. Veggies were just ok in my opinion and my husband didn't like it at all because it was too much mayo and seasoning. The banana pudding was just ok. A bit too liquidy to be pudding. Some people may like these though. Just wasn't our faves. We ordered takeout and the lady on the phone was super friendly. Order was ready right when we got there. They have a condiments bar with bbq sauces, pickled onions (which were ahhhmazzzing!), pickle slices and peppercinis. They even have sliced bread available for self service. Interior was clean and had that rustic Texas vibe. We were talking about what we wanted to try on our next visit during our meal. We'll definitely be back!

A lovely IPA to enjoy with our meal.

For my drink, I went with a Matcha with oat milk--while you can't control the sweetness level here, it was still a very enjoyable cup. There is indoor and outdoor seating - we sat outside and enjoyed the greenery. That being said, there were two specific areas where I think they could improve, especially given the premium price point ($18 for the Tamago and $15 for the Pork): * The "Soft" Boiled Egg: The Tamago sandwich is supposed to feature a soft-boiled egg, but mine was definitely hard-boiled. It was a bit of a miss on the execution for an $18 sandwich. * Service Timing: The Pork sandwich arrived well before the Tamago. Since the Pork is a warm sandwich, I had to choose between eating ahead of my party or letting the food get cold while waiting 5 minutes for the second plate. It would be great to see better coordination so all mains arrive together. Bottom line: The flavors are definitely there and the quality is high. I'd certainly come back to try more of the menu, though perhaps as an occasional treat rather than a regular spot.

From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, welcoming, and full of charm. We had the pleasure of meeting Deanna, who--along with her husband--owns the market, and you can truly feel the heart they've poured into it. I had the best chai latte here, along with a fantastic pastrami sandwich and The Goombah--every bite was incredible. You can immediately tell the food is high-quality and absolutely made with love. As new parents out and about with a baby, the kindness and genuine hospitality made the experience even more special. This is truly a hidden gem. Beware--once you come here, it will instantaneously become one of your favorite places!

When we did, they didn't allow any modifications (which I kind of get, it even said it on their menu) but if I am paying $20 for a sandwich I would hope I can modify it. So this was the upsetting part. After they took our order, it took tab out another 30-40 minutes for the food to come out. They did check up on us, but what can I say? So it's a bit confusing as to why making a few sandwiches takes over 30+ minutes. The bread was good, but not worth $20. My tuna sandwich had very minimal tomato + lettuce. The pastrami sandwich is good, meat was flavorful, bread was toasty. Just sucked that the food took long and it is overpriced for some sandwiches. Edited: While we were there, another customer asked if he could sub something, so it wasn't just myself that felt some way about not being able to sub something. I did enjoy the scenery, I thought it was a nice little getaway away from Irvine. However, I think anywhere where you have to wait 30+ minutes for food especially for a sandwich, it is upsetting. Whether it's a small business or an established one. These are just my honest opinions unfortunately.

I'm so serious when I say this, this breakfast burrito might've been the best breakfast burrito…read moreI've ever had. I'm someone that loves food tripping and breakfast burritos are something I eat often, but this one was other-worldly. The custom pick of protein, the cheese, and jammy sunny side up eggs inside, the crispy tater tots, and the tenderly crunchy griddled tortilla; it was incredible. And if you think I'm overplaying how good it is, then your loss; you don't get to try it. Anyway besides how good the burrito is, service is great! They made my food quick and were attentive to the things I needed. The inside is nice and there's good seating inside, maybe not enough for a big party, but there's a couple two-top tables and a bar seat counter (no bar, just bar counter). HIGHLY recommend! I've been living in RSM for the past couple years and I have zero clue how I'm just finding out about this. Gem alarm!

**This review is only for their breakfast burrito**…read more CK's cousin introduced us to this place while we were visiting town because she said it has the best breakfast burrito in the OC. CK & I were a bit skeptical, but we were surprised. Definitely one of the best breakfast burrito's I've had in the OC - especially when fresh! Made with your protein of choice, sunny side-up eggs, tater tots, pico de Gallo, cheddar cheese, and a flour tortilla - I ordered it with chorizo and CK ordered with steak. The steak are thinly sliced - not carne asada style like I assumed, but it was still good. My favorite had to be with the chorizo. Everything in the burrito was well put together and created a good balance. I think the star of the show in the burrito was the tater tots because they're the perfect crispyness and I think it's what the tied the breakfast burrito together. The breakfast burrito comes with a side of salsa verde, but there are additional condiment sauces above the trashcan. Definitely coming back for more when I visit!
