Got there on a Friday when they had a big singer coming at 9. (We got there at 7) They put us outside in the humid patio, got food and drink order, delivered food , and then FORGOT about us. Later someone came , saw our water bottle was mostly empty, asked about a refill of water, took the bottle, and NEVER came back either. We finally left at 930pm (the singer was in full swing). Paid the bill at counter and left. (Note, we had NO bill , they had to look up the table after describing where we sat) So basically, food was an 8 (not sure to rate it higher since we ran out of water), and the service was a 0. (Did the waitress quit mid shift or did she decide the singer was more important) Oh and the table next to us (who appeared to have a working waiter) was SCREAMING into her phone with the speaker on for at least 30 mins...ugh.. it was a bad day at the Caspian. read more

Food was not on par with most Persian restaurants I'm used to. Seems they are trying to mix Persian with Mediterranean. The vegetables were so thinly sliced on the chicken kabab that they were almost non-existent. (We had one diabetic with us who could not eat the rice so we hoped the vegetables would be a good alternative.) The grilled tomatoes I love with kabab and rice were missing and the bread is thick pita. Kababs were a bit dry although the koobideh was pretty good. Tadig rice was super thick and they only offered two stews with it...the fesenjoon being good while the gehmeh pretty bad. No gourmet sabsi which is the most popular Persian stew. Kashke bademjoon was terrible. Overall very mediocre food. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and modern. We went for the belly dancing and she was great. Singers were good too. Service was also attentive. Disappointed in the food but all else was great! read more

Our group celebrated a birthday. Fun night, god food and excellent service. Our server made sure everything was good on a timely matter. Our got complimentary ice cream/faloodeh for her birthday and the singer sang her a birthday song. It was a Friday night and they had a ban, singer and belly dancer. read more

I went to Caspian Mediterranean, and it was a real disappointment. The service was terrible, and the food was even worse. We tried their so-called Fesenjan, but the chicken was dry, and they just slapped a bland paste on top! nowhere near authentic Persian flavor. The ambiance was okay, but even the female singer was a letdown, this one was off and really dragged down the vibe. I'd definitely not go back, just a complete miss. read more

We had a wonderful experience hosting a large family gathering at this Persian restaurant. The food was exceptional, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic flavor. The live music and evening belly dance performances created an elegant and vibrant atmosphere that made the night especially memorable. A special thank you to Esmeralda for her attentive and gracious service, and to Maddi for coordinating our large party so seamlessly and making everyone feel genuinely welcomed. The hospitality, ambiance, and overall experience were truly outstanding. We look forward to returning soon. read more

The management, the food, and the service are truly exceptional -- second-to-none, indeed. Mr. Nabi and staff -- Ali and all the rest -- are the gold standard in service and dedication. Consistently great dining and lasting memories at Caspian. You and your family will be in good hands. Best wishes, Adam Nick 949-812-0920 read more

We ordered take out after hearing lots of great things about this restaurant. Ordering online was easy. We ordered one of the family meals, the mixed kabobs with chicken, beef koobideh x2, and veggie. Came with basmati rice, pita bread, and salad. It says for 3 people. Probably more for 2.5? You might want to get one of the 4 kabob combos if feeding 3...but otherwise, meal was great. The kabobs were well-seasoned. We were especially impressed with the chicken, came out so juicy and tender. Sauces aren't included, was a little bummed not to see any hummus or tzatziki sauce. Have to order the appetizer, which is a bit pricey. Too bad it's not a la carte. Food was ready by the estimated pick up time. Plenty of parking in this strip mall. read more

I love Persian food and was excited to discover that this building that had housed so many failed restaurants was Persian. And, I was blown away at what a beautiful job they did in converting it from the last concept. It is really attractive. But, restaurants are about the food, so the jury was still out. The minute I was handed my menu I searched for my favorite flavor - Fesenjoon. The walnuts and pomegranate and molasses are the ugliest, yet tastiest combination ever. Sure enough, it was there on the menu. So, we ordered the Fesenjoon and Qabuli Pulao, which is basmati rice with raisins and carrots and almonds. We chose lamb as our protein. The Fesenjoon was amazing. It was paired with crispy rice, which was so crispy and delicious. I am salivating as I am writing this. The Qabuli was excellent also. The service was fine...efficient, but nothing special. But, we were treated to live music. The whole experience was much better than we expected and we can't wait to return. read more

Excellent choice in Foothill for an authentic Persian food dining experience. Live music, friendly atmosphere, and exceptional wait staff. Ordered two chicken shush kabob plates. Meat was tender and juicy, and the veggies were roasted to perfection. A hefty portion of classic basmati rice came as part of the plate. Overall, enjoyable and will be back! read more

Shout out to Server 19! Sorry, didn't get your name. He was extremely accommodating, and made us feel welcome. Inside is very nice. Most people dress nice, but some were very casual, too. We made reservations for 6:30pm and got pretty good seats. Singing started at 7pm, belly dancer came on a little after 8:30pm. All the food tasted really good, but neither of us liked the tahini sauce. read more

I tried the lunch buffet today and was very impressed. The restaurant is beautiful inside, with a large dining room and outdoor seating. There is even a stage for live entertainment. The buffet had great variety, beef, chicken, fish and plenty of fresh veggies. The chicken kabobs were my favorite, juice, tender and full of flavor. I also loved the the warm pita bread, the hummus and yogurt dip. The only downside was the fish, which had a noticeable smell and did not taste fresh. Its a solid buffet with lots of options, especially the kabobs and sides. I would come back for sure. read more

It was a Thursday evening. Live music was music-ing; easy on the ears! Dinner for 10, celebrating "CousinTines"; like Galentine's but more special! Some confusion with order the 5 course special for 2 (x3), ask about the "special". I think everyone agreed the food was delicious. Portions are definitely shareable. Staff attentive though felt a lil rushed at times. Overall good experience! Good 1/2 way point for us from Torrance - Murrieta. Will go again if in the area... read more

It was our first time at Caspian restaurant and Dory was very nice and accommodating. It was Valentine's Day & we didn't have a reservation. We got there at 5:00 and special event was at 7:00. She said I could give you a table if you could be done by 7:00. It worked out great we were done by 6:30. Our server was very nice and efficient unfortunately I didn't get his name but the receipt says team 19. We had a feast an everything was delicious and excellent service. Stopped in for lunch on a weekend, very excited after seeing high reviews on Yelp. We arrived at opening, the restaurant was pretty empty. We were seated outside on the patio. The entire restaurant is very well decorated and well kept, very cute for a girls lunch, date or special event. The food was okay, we tried the red lentil soup which had good flavor, the fattoush salad and split peas with eggplant. Glad we stopped in, I would consider returning for the buffet option during the week. read more

Our party of 6 and 2 babies came here for an early dinner and first off, it is very spacious, easy/plenty parking, and people here were very kind and welcoming. I ordered the lambsicles and they were cooked and tasted perfect! I also tried others - salmon, koobideh (beef and chicken), and chicken kabob. We ordered the samosas, which was amazing, and a side of raw onions and tzatziki! Everything was really really delicious with all fresh and good ingredients. Too bad there was no live music/dancing. Update! We went the other day for a small personal celebration with friends. When we walked in they were hosting a large corporate event which made me happy to see them doing well. We were seated at a great table away from the activity. Service 10 out of 10. Regularly checked on which was appreciated. The food. 10 out of 10 again. We all ordered something different and it all came out at the same time hot and fresh! The pricing is comparable to the service and quality of menu items provided so understand this isn't one of the typical corporate restaurants in the area that put you thru like a machine. What a great Jewel for the community to have a special occasion! This is worth a long drive if you are contemplating distance. We will most definitely return. read more

I was super excited to try Caspian and was let down unfortunately. I had gone to the previous Caspian in Irvine and liked it but this new location was a disappointment. The good stuff about it was the ambience - very well put together place and generally seem to be well staffed. It has a slightly upscale vibe to it but not too upscale....good place to go on a weekend bc they have live music too so it's good for a date night or an outing with some friends and family. The food itself is where the let down was. Koobideh kabab is my favorite food and I have had lots and lots of it in my life and rarely do I ever say it's not good.....this kabab was simply weird. The taste was very off, typically koobideh is either a mix of beef and lamb or just beef with onion, salt, pepper and sometimes some places but sumac or saffron in it if they want to be generous. These guys put something else outside of those ingredients on it and whatever it was, it completely ruined the taste of the beef koobideh kabab. Perhaps it was maybe even just too much butter on it, but it didn't taste that way. To make matters worse the kabab was lukewarm warm, it was 100% sitting in the kitchen for a long time before they brought it out to the table. The chicken koobideh tasted pretty good, it was well seasoned and prepared. I also liked how they put some zereshk on top of their rice, it was a nice touch to it. Unfortunately though, like the rest of the meal, this was also sitting in the kitchen for far too long before they brought it out and it really ruined the experience. I tried some of my dad's qabouli polo and that too was also very room temperature and sat in the kitchen. It was a shame because I feel like the taste would have been ok if they had just brought it out hot but because everything was room temperature it was not enjoyable. read more

The first location in Irvine closed but the owner relocated here and honestly I think I like the new set up more than before! Walking in, you're greeted with statues and an overall infrastructure that tips its hat to Iranian heritage. I've been there twice, and both times it does take a while for a staff member to realize you're waiting for them to seat you but everyone's rather friendly all around. The waiters are all attentive and are willing to answer questions about the food if you ask them to--not something they used to do before and I'm glad they changed that, going to this restaurant isn't so daunting to a lot of my friends now! Let's talk about the food! It's pretty good but the price is rather high considering the amount that you get. The quality of the food has gone up since its relocation and I couldn't be happier, don't get me wrong BUT it's not enough to justify the price hike in my opinion. Overall I would say Caspian is a good place to visit if you'd like a taste of Iranian cuisine, but the price is something that keeps me personally from visiting more often than I'd like. Who knows though, you might think it's worth it. My moms kitchen definitely spoiled me when it comes to Iranian food read more
