My very first time ordering at the Derby Chick-fil-A, I ordered a spicy deluxe chicken sandwich with pepper jack. I got a regular sandwich with American. I was more than a little disappointed as I was looking forward to the spicy chicken, but I ate the bland chicken. The macaroni and cheese was fine and the nuggets were pretty good. They stopped doing curbside and then added on to speed up the drive through. Now you have 10 people standing around in the drive through lanes, maybe use a couple of them to do curbside. You need to pull everything out of your bag and check before leaving. The last 4 times we've gone here they screwed up our order. The last time I went I swore was the last time, I was using a gift card that had beed sent to make up for food that was missing from a previous visit. I got my order, parked, and looked through the bag. I had to go back inside as 2 of the 5 items that I ordered weren't in the bag. I will not be going back to this location. read more

It's cool. They work really hard but when you get no salt fries they skimp you Big time at the Derby location. No matter how many times this has been addressed they never stop doing that. I cannot say Thank You enough, Chick-fil-A Derby! I was so excited to get breakfast this morning and try the new cold brew iced coffee. However, I realized once in the drive-thru that I forgot my wallet at home on the coffee table. We've all been there right?! So I got out of line and called the store to cancel my order. What I didn't realize is that they wanted me to have my order anyways. A treat on them! I was shocked and pleasantly surprised by the kind gesture. It was over $20 worth of food! Then to my surprise when I get home, they even included the 8 oz. bottle of CFA sauce that I always stock up on when I go to their store. I was not expecting that! Staff needs more training. Everytime I come here, it's always a long wait. Today was 15 mins and son was late for school. Not like most Chickfilas AT ALL. Staff isn't always nice. Food isnt consistent. Not good with promptness. You don't need to just stand there and wait for part of an order when other orders behind it is already there. She finally went to grab my boxes and sandwhich...that had been sitting there the whole time. Hey, mornings, people are usually in a hurry and thus morning, Late kid to school. I used to love Chick-fil-A back in the day and from their original Wichita location years ago in Towne West. I don't know if it's a problem with just the Derby location, but their chicken filet sandwiches NEVER appear as they do in their pics as they are always dark brown and overcooked. I'm not certain whether it's because they're cooking them twice or are just cooking them too hot. I suspect they're partially cooking and then recooking on order which is ruining the sandwich to the point of dryness that it's inedible. After the first and second time figured it was just the grill cook's problem but after the 3rd time I've sworn off this location. read more

The only fast food place you go to where the line looks like it's 10 miles long but you get your food in less than 10 minutes. I have nothing but good things to say bout this place. It's always busy but I never have to wait more than 20mins to order or for my food. Staff here also seems to be the only fast food place where the workers actually seems to like their job. They always great you with a smile. Also they don't charge me 10cents for extra sauce so I love them lol read more

We really loved this location. Clean store, friendly staff. Plenty of condiments and a great indoor play area for the kids. It's very, very family friendly and even though our kids are grown, I can see where this would be very appealing. They even had little containers of Cherrio's to keep little ones happy. The person that took my order did ring up the wrong food for me, which I didn't realize until I received the wrong sandwich, and is the only reason for the 4-stars. As an employee of another CFA myself, though, I didn't go back and make them fix it, as I know the struggle of incorrect orders and fixing them, and in general I don't like being picky.
