Traveling though Wichita with a buddy who is super picky. Well chicken tenders are his jam! He was very happy that we came here. It's a fast food joint, they makes really good chicken. All the food came out very hot and it's ordered. Service is great. Thanks paragraph this is my first Slim Chickens experience. But I would definitely come again! read more

Way overpriced. Terrible quality wings. Took forever. Sauce was good. Other than that. Felt like I got robbed.

Yesterday i got the chicken and waffles and i used my phone to tap pay. For some reason it didn't print a receipt and the guy said it'll get credited to my account the next day and they made me pay again. I showed him my online bank account showing it came out. Well we're in the next day I i didn't get it refunded. I just had money stolen from me and all they tell me is to wait. I called my bank and they said i will have to challenge the charge. It was for 20 dollars so it's not like it's going to hurt me but it's the idea of the matter. If this happens to you get a refund right away and don't pay again. I never understood in the first place since I could see it come out Update: I just tried calling Katherine that responded below. When I called the number the guy who answered said they don't have someone who works there with that name. Confusing why someone would do that. read more

Service was horrible, worker acrylic nails on & a piece of her charm fell on my food. Not only that but she was on her phone, laughing, and joking with other staff on the clock. Supper unprofessional in my opinion. Other than that, food was good if it wasn't for the nail charm on my food. Probably wouldn't come back. read more

Our orders have been incorrect every time for the last multiple times, *even if* the person taking the order has repeatedly it back correctly. The soda syrup ratio is weak and unpalatable, and on the off chance we do go inside, the floors and tables are super sticky. read more

Overall we had a good experience here, the food was pretty good and the portions are generous. My favorite was the dipping sauces! The chicken was a little dry but once you dunk it in sauce not so bad. read more

Pretty good- i like that the breaded tenders weren't really heavily breaded and they tasted fresh. I wasn't a huge fan of the garlic Parmesan sauce, but the buffalo and ranch were good (and I'm not usually a ranch fan) The chicken salad was good- I would've liked it better if it had more buffalo sauce and chicken, and less croutons. I also would've preferred the croutons to not be soft and oddly textured. Still tasty and fresh greens, plus a good deal for around $9 with a drink. I feel like this place is worth a 3.5 star more than a 4 star. It is fast food, but it's definitely much better than things like Burger King, kfc, and McDonald's. Ill probably eat here again. It was convenient and overall good. Definitely get an extra buffalo sauce for the salad! read more

I used to come eat here every Tuesday when I was at the University of Arkansas since they gave students a 50% discount! I'm always down for a $3-4 meal okurrt. So when I found out wichita had one, I made my boyfriend take me while I was visiting town! All the feels. Missed this place! They've added some new items since I was last here but I opted for the same thing I always get: chick's plate which consists of 3 tenders, fries, 2 pieces of toast, and a drink. You also get to choose a dipping sauce. My two favorite to get are cayenne ranch and slim sauce. So good. Space is large so bring your momma and friends! read more

For some reason this particular slims is so bad. This time it made both my husband and I sick. Definitely won't be back

Slim Chickens gives you what you want and nothing else. This is simply chicken strips, chicken wings, chicken and waffles and a list of sides, dips and sauces. There is a list of prices for drinks and you can buy a gallon of lemonade if you want. There is an option to use their chicken and waffles force fund raiser. There are big family packs. Bottom line, you know you are getting chicken. No beef, pork or turkey, the big 3 that worm their way into other places. I'm thrilled! The prices are kind of high, but they give generous portions, so I'm not going to whine too much. I'm impressed with the several tea options. Some of us avoid soda/pop/soft drinks for a variety of reasons. Amazingly, people were sitting in the outside dining area...in July! The building seemed to have adequate seating. I waited for my order there, with the number 63 on a stand by my drinks, watching how they operate. Overall, it satisfied my chicken need for this trip. read more

Hater gonna hate. They make good chicken and Karen's can't take the fact that not everything is about them.

Asked for a wrap with no tomato I got half a chicken tender in each side of the wrap with only lettuce and tender I asked for Mac and cheese instead of fries never got it also asked for a sd of ranch never got it. The order was repeated back to me and I didn't get anything I asked for sure hope I wasn't charged for it. Shouldn't even be charged for the wrap. Thanks for the tortilla slim chickens! coming from a waitress do better it's not that hard. read more

This new chicken joint on the Westside is a great alternative to other fast food. Slim Chicken's serves everything hot and fresh as you order. I know this as I've come in at all hours of the day during my visits and everything has been scalding hot. Because you know, grease is hot. The flavors are delicious and the portions are just fine for chicken strips. If anyone is complaining about the strip size must be used to Costco brand chicken strips. Sizeable portions for an affordable prices. They have TVs where you can catch up on your sporting events. They have multiple employees walking around, cleaning, and greeting. They're really just making sure you're meal is fine. The free wi-fi was nice. I was able to come in and do work, while enjoying my lunch. They have multiple sauces for your chicken to dip into when you're feeling crazy. Slim sauce is like the Raising Cane's sauce. Probably BBQ & Ranch but still good enough for me. The wait is really my only knock on this place. The newness hasn't worn off yet and the wait is considerably long at times. I'll come back again and would recommend to everyone. read more

I was skeptical at first. "It's just another chicken joint," I thought. But goodness gracious, this place is AWESOME. My girlfriend and I go here every week after her sand volleyball games at the sports forum. As you approach the building you will instantly want to sit on the deck. It has a dock feeling accompanied with two big screen tv's. When you walk in, it's obviously fast food style, order your food and they will bring it to you. On to the food. They offer wings and chicken tenders. I've had both the chicken tenders and wings. Wings were a bit small so I would recommend you get the tenders. The breading on the tenders are delightful and the chicken is always cooked thoroughly but not over cooked. Now... Sauces... you have to get the spicy BBQ (not overtly spicy), or the cayenne ranch. I always end up having to ask for extra lol Service: 5/5 Food quality: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Sauces: 5/5 Prices: 4.8/5 read more

Slim Chickens - Slims Plate (5 chicken tenders) with cayenne ranch and spicy BBQ - Chicken Wings Near Me - Wichita, Kansas

OK so the food was probably two stars but the building and decor was pretty cool. I think what bugged me the most was the quality of the chicken... My thought is: if you are a chicken place, shouldn't the highest quality control go into the chicken? Yes. The little chicken strips were a lower quality than the kids chicken tenders we serve at the restaurant I manage. They were just chewy and kind of tough. The breeding was good though. If it weren't for the honey mustard (1 of 6 sauces we tried), I don't think I would have finished them. Fries were good and fried pickles were good. read more

This was my first time eating at Slim Chickens. Very disappointed. Wings were very small. Bones were broken in pieces. Cheap wings not a good brand. Will not go back. Bread good. Red Chili and Korean sauce good. read more

Lowering my rating to 3 stars from 5 as a result of my second visit. Why? 1) Had fried pickles on both visits, both times they were way too salty. * Edit - others confirm the same. They finally got nutrition info on website - a regular side order of pickles has over 3,000(!) mg of sodium. USRDA is 2,000. Yikes. 2) A couple of the people at the cash registers (not the cashiers) seem a bit pissy and like to frown. One of them gave me a short, terse reply when I asked if the plastic cups could be brought back for refills. Like, how stupid of me to ask. *Edit - it's fast food, I don't expect white glove treatment. But some people don't belong in front of customers. 3) $36 for 3 meals with one dessert. $36! Astonishing. I can feed myself and two kids for half that at Subway (next door) or McDonalds (also next door). *Edit - no change to my original comment. 4) Lack of nutrition information on the website. I've read the strips are nearly 200 calories *each*, though I can't confirm this. *Edit - they recently published nutrition information on their website. Good for them! It says the strips are only 89 calories each. I might buy that, they are very small. But things like a large order of fries - 3,400 mg sodium. It's only like a prank, but, well, not. :( 5) Music is shockingly loud inside. I'm not 80 years old, but I also don't like to have to nearly shout to converse with people at my table. *No change to my original comment. read more

Went through drive thru. Had 2 drinks. Told them both no ice. She gave me a coke with no ice but the Dr Pepper had ice. Handed it back and she said "oh my bad." 2 minutes later she handed it right back with ice again. How do you mess that up? read more

I got salmonella poisoning in my blood and I've been sick for 3 weeks, don't recommend this place

I've noticed every business in this town is TRASH. If you're looking for good food don't go here. My whole order was a complete dumpster fire. McDonald's is 200x better than this place. The staff can't do anything right, I've never had a correct order. They also pick and choose if you're a veteran. I'm pretty sure it's just because I'm a black 20 something year old so they think I can be treated like less of a human. I'm done giving my money to ANY business like this. read more

We love this place. The food is good, service is fast and friendly, and it's always clean. I really like the Korean BBQ dipping sauce. It's my mother's favorite fast casual place in town. read more

I like how they have different sauce options--but I LOVE the cayenne ranch sauce the most. Which leads me to my favorite chicken sandwich of all the fast food chains---the Cayenne Ranch Chicken Sandwich! I think it's the fried onions that gives that perfect balance. For sides, I like the fried mushrooms more than the fried pickles. Hubs and I like to dine in there because we like to eat it right away. It's a plus that the restaurant is always clean, too. If we go through the drive through, by the the time we take it home, the chicken isn't as crispy. It's really nice having the drive through option and the online ordering option though! read more

I used the app to place a curbside order. I live 25 minutes away so I placed my order at 11:15 to be picked up at 12:00. I wanted to make sure I arrived so that my food was hot so that it wouldn't be extremely cold when I got home. I arrived at 11:55 and by 12:10 no one had brought my order out. I had to call the restaurant and they said someone would bring my order out. When they brought it out it was ice cold. I attempted to call the restaurant twice to have it remade but got a busy signal, so I left since I had a kid in the car that didn't have shoes on. When I got home and opened up my box my chicken tenders were SMALL! I included a picture of how small. Every time we mobile order from this location we are either missing food or it takes so long to get the food it is cold. Which is a shame because every time I eat inside the food is delicious. read more

Soooooooo slowwwwwww! I'm talking flash from zootopia slow! But delicious as all get out

This place is pretty good. Food: 4/5 They have some of the best chicken strips you will ever eat. They are light and not overly breaded. They have the best ranch around. It is fantastic. Their wings, however, fall flat. They are ok. They usually aren't sauces enough. They have delicious sides such as fries or fried mushrooms. They also offer salads and chicken sandwiches; both are decent. The cost is moderate. What is crazy is that their salads are like $3 more than the chicken strips. I know that's the cost to eat healthy but dang you that's a big gap. Restaurant: 2/5 It's too cold in here. Bring multiple jackets. There's no reason for your hair to blow in the airflow of a restaurant inside. The tables are usually dirty and the area where you get your drink is always messy. The workers don't seem to be standing around which would mean they might be understaffed. Either way it changes the way you feel about a place when your uncomfortable eating. Overall it's a good place to grab chicken strips, and the best ranch in town. read more

The food here might be okay, but please don't come here if you're trying to eat quickly. I am in a rush to get food, and have been sitting in ONE spot in the drive through for the past 10 minutes. If there was a way to give a negative star review, I would! Over this past weekend, the "young and immature" female employees were very disrespectful to me as a customer! Have enjoyed this place before. This time the wings were dry, the tenders were small and nothing special. Dining area was cold, music was too loud. The floor was slick everywhere with grease. The men's room was particularly treacherous. We also had a carry out order that was completely wrong - five and five - no tenders, eight wings, wrong sides. We live an hour away. Won't be back. read more

Chicken everything! But I was able to get a veggie version of their chicken wrap along with ranch sauce for dipping.

The service at this place is horrible. The staff likes to argue with you , talks rudely with you, rude remarks at you and also makes you take your order to go after you told them fine in when there is 15 minutes before they close. They threw our toast in the bag not in its little sac. The fries and toast was stale and the chicken was so so.
