This is the second time in the past year that I have regretted going to the Derby Panera Bread. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. The bread was overcooked, hard, very salty and there was one small piece of avocado. I debated going there since the last time when my grilled cheese was totally uncooked. To top it off, it was my Mother's day dinner. I hate complaining but I used to love this restaurant and now I won't be going back. Save your money. read more

Idk if they were mad bc I ordered an hour before they closed but my soup was cold and wtf is this burnt Grilled Cheese & Creamy Tomato Soup. My Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup was cold and it was a horrible experience. I am sick I just wanted soup after a 16h healthcare shift. Please do better. read more

I'll keep this short, baguette was stale, fruit bowl was so old it smelt like hooch, mens bathroom urinal had green algae growing out of it and no paper towels to dry hands. All this at 6pm in the evening. Almost forgot, nobody called to let us know our food was ready. Conversations from the staff in the back left little to the imagination. Won't be back until staff and Manager are replaced by people that know what they're doing and care about what they are serving customers. read more

Hard avocado in the green goddess Cobb salad and frozen eggs. Just nasty. Expect much better for an $11 salad. Edited 3/13/2020 to add: I received a call from from the manager after answering their survey email in regard to the above visit. He apologized and took my address to send me a $20 Panera gift card. That card never came. The poor quality and service does indeed start at the top. read more

My oatmeal was not hot it was not good services water tastes like pee pretty bad!!!!!

I would love to give a better review, but this place is getting worse and worse. Their drive thru trash is always full and in road. The employees with the exception of one are always rude or inconvenienced when you go thru drive thru. I watched the employee argue with the car in front of me the other day about the woman having a Panera card. Guess what she had one, he was just not entering info in right. Called and tried to speak with the manager Joanne and she is a DISASTER!!!! Went there today and ended up walking out after being ignored by the staff. Called customer service and had them delete my panera info and cancel my drink subscription. If I wanted to be treated like I was at a low quality fast food there are far better establishments I could go to- like most of the places on K-15 everyone complains about. This place needs new leadership and fast. read more

I've been a fan of Panera for years. They never disappoint. I love the turkey chili, and today tried the turkey and caramelized kale sandwich. Pretty good, although the appearance of it has a little to be desired. It looked a little slopped together. I would go more often if they were a tad bit cheaper. But I will return when I'm in the area. read more

The staff is always rude and never gives me the right order I often pay for something I don't get. Not a friendly environment.

I come to this Panera Bread every morning. Thanks to the app, I always order my food from home and pick up around 10 minutes later. 9/10 they always have my food ready by the time I come up to the window, so it's not out of the way when I'm going to work. I've only had their summer strawberry and poppyseed salad, and croissant. I'm heartbroken that it'll be out of season soon, but I'm sure I'll find something else I like on the menu. I absolutely love the croissants because they're HUGE and I can hear it up and it's perfect for breakfast. The app makes everything super easy to order as well as document your calories. It's tells the calories for every item, so it's great for those who are dieting. read more

Had a great breakfast this morning. Ordered the ham, egg, n chz but switched out the bread for a crescent roll. Wonderful! Also got a cinnamon roll. Light, tasty really pretty perfect after warming for 30 seconds. BTW A/C works great. It was freezing. read more

The food is always delicious and I'm a huge Panera fan but something about this one makes me a little disappointed every time. I feel like this store has gotten progressively worse over the past couple of years and that their customer service isn't where it should be. My orders are messed up half of the time and when I go to get it fixed I'm greeted with mixed feelings from the people behind the counters. When I ask for a sliced apple, I'm usually given a rotten one or the core is left in. The sandwiches seem to be hastily made with the contents usually falling onto my plate and leaving me eating just the bread. Overall, the quality of the food is good and it's a healthier alternative to some of the other fast food places in Derby so I tend to always go back. read more

I'm usually fairly critical of restaurants in Derby, because they always seem to be below par from their counterparts in Wichita. But I was happily surprised with this Panera location. The food here is cooked almost up to par with their Wichita locations, ALMOST. In addition to the food being cooked well enough, the service is always friendly and quick. This location even has a drive-through. My advice to anyone who's never been to Panera though, be careful what you order, some things are absolutely delicious, and others don't even deserve to be on the menu. read more

We were so happy to have a Panera of our own in Derby. Can be a very busy place, especially in the morning. Love the new Power chicken hummus bowl!! If you want great healthy food and classical music to relax with this is the place for your next meal. read more

The menu is healthy and there is tons of variety. However, I wish the bread received for sides was actually edible and not a rock with some bread in the middle. My sandwiches are often on soggy bread due to the incredible amount of moisture from dressings and such, but the mac and cheese and salads are delicious. Breakfast items and bagels are also amazing with lots of variety. Prices seem high but for the health aspect and freshness of the food, it can be understood. read more

Went in for lunch with the wife, and her hot chocolate was a clump of powder floating at the top of the cup. Not to mention, she was told that all their hot chocolate came with SALTED CARAMEL? Are you serious? My Steak and white cheddar looked like it had been melted by a microwave for 30 minutes. The food had NO flavor, and we paid 23$ for what size portion could of been a kids meal. It might be healthier than most fast foods, but definitely not worth the money. We will never go there again. read more

The manager was our cashier and acted as if we were inconveniencing him because we didn't know what we wanted. There was no line but he continued to hurry us along. My husband felt like he had to point at a picture because the manager was so impatient with us. I did not know what I wanted and another couple came in so we were forced to order separately with 2 transactions. Any time I asked a question about the menu the manager talked condescendingly to me. When we got our food, my husband's order was wrong, but we didn't want to have to talk to the manager again. We will not be returning to this location. read more
