We've always been McAlister's fans. But the last couple visits have not been what we've grown to expect from them. The chicken salad and the BLT sandwiches have been lackluster. Today, my wife had the southwest chicken salad. The lettuce simply was not fresh. Much of it was a dark green, wilted color. I genuinely cannot remember the last time I received service that was so friendly, efficient, personable, and helpful as Dena was today. She brings an inviting energy to the front register and is a very valuable asset to you guys. This franchise gives me the vibe of a Panera, which way better portions. The workers there were quick and efficient. They added seemingly the whole package of meat into our sandwiches. The portions here are crazy, from the meat to the drinks. I absolutely loved my Italian sub, it tasted so fresh. We also got the pulled pork spud which was a let down. We love their food when they can manage to get our order right, unfortunately this doesn't happen often. Make sure you open all of your containers for take out. My husband unfortunately just forgot to check tonight. It's crazy how little they care in ensuring orders are right. Salads with no dressing, no crackers, and other missing ingredients. Today it was missing pecans from both of our salads for which we have spent hundreds of dollars on and always order the same salad with extra pecans. I have never been to a McAlister's, even though we have them where I live. I chose this for lunch, as I was meeting my Papa before I left town, and it's location to his house and the highway. Also, open on a Monday, which is harder than you would think. He is deaf in one ear, and can have trouble in open public spaces. We came around 11 and the place was very quiet. Once noon hit, they were rocking and rolling, but the back of the restaurant stays pretty quiet, even with all the hustle. And they were hustling. The service was very friendly, but the biggest surprise was the food. I ordered a half turkey sandwich and garden salad. That's not really a exciting order. What I got was a delicious sandwich on excellent bread, and a sizable salad with a nice lettuce mix, fresh veggies, and croutons. He got a French dip and Mac and cheese, which he enjoyed, but commented on my salad. I typically like to go local, but this was perfect. And I bet he will be stopping by as well. read more

After traveling all day in the freezing weather, I stopped in here to pick up a quick dinner to-go. I was immediately taken care of and got the order in very quickly. I forgot to have my rewards barcode pulled up but the cashier just asked for my number and got my points to me easily! The ordering process went well and my meal was ready in minutes. It's not bad but not great. The sandwich I ordered was average. It took about 5-10 minutes after ordering, they make the sandwich in the back instead of in front of you, so I stood there waiting for it. My husband and I ate lunch at the Ridge and Maple location last week. We frequent this store and have tried other locations but this is the best. I had a 1/2chucken salad sandwich and 1/2 a berry salad and my husband had 1/2 a spicey turkey and 1/2 a garden salad. Received our food in a timely manner and every thing was fresh and good. Store was clean and there were several people making sure everyone had drinks and were satisfied with their food. Every other time I've been here, the food has been outstanding. I typically get their Mac n cheese or I get tomato soup and half of their five cheese grilled sandwich. On this visit they didn't have tomato soup, which I understood seeings as they have a "daily soup menu". So instead I got a five cheese grilled with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. The potatoes were wonderful but the sandwich could have been way better. The cheese wasn't even melted and it was cold when it got to the table. First I would like to say that we frequent this location. Location and quality of service and food/drinks definitely bring us back. We ordered takeout online on Saturday around 12:30. Order took about 20 minutes to get ready. The app is free and really easy to use. I DEFINITELY recommend that you explore the customize option as it can save you money in the long run. For example I was going to order soup, but noticed that I can add a cup or bowl (I got the bread bowl) for a dollar cheaper as a side with the sandwich than as a side alone. Been to many McAlister's locations in different states. Quite a few were terribly slow and understaffed. Popped in for a quick lunch on Memorial Day 2017. Well staffed at the counter (ordered quickly) and in the restaurant (a couple different food runners). Looked like a manager may have been bussing (sp?) tables. Food came out hot, quickly, and correctly. They have a choose 2 items like Panera which is great when you want soup and a sandwich, soup and a small (read massive but smaller than the astronomically "normal" sized) baked potato, etc. Was impressed with this location.
