Their menu has a good selection of BBQ foods with lots of sides to choose from. I had the sliced beef sandwich with potato salad. The beef was very tender and had just the right amount of char to it. Servings were huge! I could not finish my sandwich or eat all the salad. Your meal also includes their pickle bar. Wow-- this place is pretty great, with some of the biggest fall-off-the-bone ribs we've found. I ordered a salad with (tender and flavorful) smoked turkey, plus an ala cart rib. It was almost more than I could eat. Salad came in a tortilla shell-- unusual for a BBQ place. It was perfect. Partner had sliced brisket, which he ordered lean. It was thinly sliced and he said it was a little dry, but that can happen with lean meat. Sauce was good. I am visiting Wichita for work and wed night had Bite Me BBQ door dashed to my hotel. The food was exceptional other than putting potato salad in with warm food , therefore arriving warm. The pulled pork was lean and delicious ( one of my favorite foods) ! Also door dash was prompt and arrived quickly which was great after working a 14 hour day. SOoooo it was so good I ordered it again last night ( Thurs) and such a disappointment , the pulled porked had large pieces that were cold, the potato salad again warm but the baked beans and BBQ sauce had opened and spilled in bag, and no napkins , had even spilled all over the fork packaging . Ended up throwing 1/2 of it away. And definitely not the dashers fault, food was prompt and bag sealed . Such a disappointment and waste of 35.00 $ . Wish I weren't leaving town so they could make it right. I fully believe a refund is in order !!!! read more

Came here to check out the BBQ and drinks. The atmosphere is great, and the bar is definitely a highlight--fun vibe and solid cocktails. It's a nice place to hang out with friends. The food, however, was just okay. I ordered the brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, and coleslaw, and everything felt like it was missing flavor. The BBQ wasn't bad, but it didn't really stand out or meet my expectations. Overall, this place has a lot of potential. To Go Order 6/6/25. Bite Me is usually very good and on point. We had several orders. 1) 2 meat bbq dinner with loaded baked potato and pasta salad. The baked potato was under cooked. 2) Sliced brisket dinner with pasta salad and some potato salad. Brisket portion was slim, about 4 slices. 3) Chicken fried chicken sandwich with baked beans. Huge portion of chicken. 4) Fish dinner with cottage fries and pasta salad. Huge portion of fish. Need more than one cup for tartar sauce. Need containers that you can poke holes in, so that the moisture doesn't make the batter soggy. Two orders of peach cobbler. One order (see picture), was extremely doughy with very few peaches and no liquid. When preparing an order you shouldn't just give whatever. Especially when we paid (plus TIPPED on a to go order) to have PEACH cobbler... Hard to have that with no peaches. On a previous visit there was an issue with baked beans being undercooked. Again, I usually have no issues with Bite Me, but if it's going to continue to be issues, we may need to take a break. read more

Dear Bite Me Restaurant Management, I am writing to formally report a serious concern following my visit with my husband to your restaurant on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Shortly after our visit, we both began experiencing symptoms consistent with food poisoning. My husband has had nausea and diarrhea since Sunday, and I have been dealing with diarrhea and an upset stomach throughout today. Neither of us has been able to keep food down properly since our visit. I called earlier today and spoke with a manager named Jess. During that conversation, I was told that because we ordered different items, it was unlikely the restaurant was responsible. However, I want to stress that foodborne illness can result from cross-contamination or shared ingredients, so the fact that we had different meals does not eliminate the possibility. This has been a very uncomfortable and concerning experience for both of us. At the very least, I believe this situation warrants serious attention to your food handling and safety practices. I would appreciate a thoughtful response regarding how you plan to address this matter. While we have already decided not to return, I hope you take this feedback seriously to prevent others from experiencing the same issue. read more

Food: No complaints, the pork and beef were both delicious. Baked beans and Cole slaw were excellent. I mean, you're in Kansas so I would actually be really surprised if the meat WASN'T good. The only downside I have is that all of the sauces were spicy (except the wimpy sauce). Now, I like spicy, don't get me wrong there, but I would think a few more options for people that can't handle spicy would help business. But I also don't know if they have a problem with business either so... it is what it is I guess! Atmosphere: It's a little dark inside. I mean, they have TVs on and it's kind of noisy as well, but I always think to myself, what are they trying to hide keeping the lights down so low? Gum under the tables? Don't look at the busted floors? I dunno. It's not a bad thing but a little more light would be nice. Service: Excellent service, no complaints. I think our server was new because she kept asking for our orders and came back to check often, but it was all good! Price: Pretty inexpensive in my opinion. I think a 3 meat dinner was like 20$. Plus I think the pickle bar was pretty cool, I've seen a few places do that but I was a bit disappointed that a lot of the bins were empty and I really didn't want to bother the staff for refills. :( Overall: Pretty solid place, I can see why the locals like it. In an area of the country where there are a TON of BBQ places, you gotta do something to stand out. I was visiting clients in the area and was told they have a cool pickle bar. As a pickle lover, I had to try it, and I was not disappointed. We were quickly greeted and seated at our table. Being from Texas, I feel biased in my review of the BBQ here, LOL, so I'll start with my experience. After the waitress took our drink order, it seemed a while before we received it. Also, it took a while to get our food when we placed our order. I think it was partly because after our order was placed we were notified that they were out of rib meat. I want this BBQ to be the last meal before I die. I came here on a tuesday, which means it's pork belly burnt ends day. For $16 you get THE BEST pork belly burnt ends with two sides. The slaw was top 5 coleslaws. The sweet potato waffle fries were the best fries I've ever had. Piping hot, crispy, and FRESH. The ambiance is old small town USA, with a bar, rustic wood tables, neon signs, and original country music playing. First, ambiance is great. A classic BBQ joint with a Smokey Smell. Second, service is great. Very prompt and attentive To our needs. So why the low score? The food. I expected better being in Kansas. The daily special was Pork Belly Burnt Ends, so I was expecting soft little pillows of porky goodness. But these were dry (both from a lack of sauce and from it being a while since they came out of the smoker...you can just tell) and not-so-soft. Truthfully there were a few pieces that were nice. But most were not. Alas all is not lost on the food front. I did have an extra Pork Rib bone added to my lunch. The Pork Rib was delicious. Again not sauced (so that must be how they do it at Bite Me), but very tasty. I'm guessing just salt and pepper when they smoked them as there was not a lot of dry rub on it as like a Memphis style rib. And, my coworker had a sliced brisket sandwich that looked absolutely delicious. The sliced brisket looked tender and properly cooked and properly sliced. Another coworker gave good reviews to the Hot Link sausage. Since we had just arrived from the airport and had a way to drive we did NOT try the Bloody Mary that they are known for. But it looks fantastic with a ton of "garnish" (a slice of brisket, a slider sandwich and a bunch of other stuff stuck on a stick)...crazy! All in all, definitely give Bite Me BBQ a try. I had the moist brisket at Bite Me BBQ, and it was super flavorful. While the baked beans leaned a bit vinegary for my taste, the mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent. My kid loved the pulled pork sandwich and the baked beans. I'm not a big fan of baked beans anywhere, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. The service was fantastic. When one of our friends received an undercooked burger, the staff quickly remedied it, and the manager himself came out to make it right. Excellent experience overall--I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! The only downside is that the floors are quite slippery from what I assume is grease, for someone clumsy like me it made walking an interesting experience. read more

Did I order the wrong things here because this place is not one of my favorite places for barbecue. The staff is amazing. The service was good. The cook even came out and gave us loads of samples of every single meat they had there. I just didn't taste the smokiness on the meat. The meat was tender and fall off the bone. We have loved coming to BMB for their prime rib nights and have bragged to our friends how good it is but last night it came to an end. Our dinner came out cold and the meat was overcooked. At one point, the manager/chef/cook came out in his ski cap to tell us that it all looked fine and medium rare is 125 degrees. I said I agree but medium which this is should be 135 degrees and this is definitely medium and I don't know the last time it was 135 degrees. He walked off. The waitress was very frustrated and embarrassed by the kitchen. We recognized each other from previous visits and it was a difficult situation. their meat was soooo good. it was fall off the bone and tender and well seasoned and just all around mouth watering-ly amazing! their sides need a little work but you have to check out their pickle bar off to the side. i fell in love with the pickled okra! had a bit of a misunderstanding with the bartender and got charged for an extra drink but he was so nice about it that it wasn't a big deal. they were severely understaffed and they definitely need to hire more people. read more

There were 5 of us. We were told we would have a 10 to 15 minute wait which turned into 45 minutes. The waitress was prompt and took out drink and appetizer order, she brought our drinks but forgot the appetizer so we asked about it and she said she forgot to put the order in. About 30 minutes later she takes out dinner order. We ask about the appetizers AGAIN, she said she would be back with them. We waited 45 minutes and our food arrived and still no appetizers. We asked again where they were, someone else had to bring them out to us as we started eating dinner. The entire point of Appetizers is to eat them while waiting for your meal. Food was way overpriced for poor quality. I ordered the pulled Chicken sandwich with mac n cheese. The sandwich was cold and dry and the bun was hard in spots. The mac n cheese was in a tiny cup halfway filled and the noodles were soggy/ mushy and tasteless. The nastiest mac n cheese I ever ate in my life. I paid $17 for a meal that was cold and flavorless. It was the absolute WORSE dining experience I have ever had. I will NEVER go back, a frozen banquet dinner taste better than what they serve. I did NOT leave a tip and usually I'm very generous when it comes to tipping. Not this time. Horrible service, horrible wait time, horrible food and overpriced.
