Wow. Food was excellent. Was a Thursday night. I'm not a local. They had beef ribs. Oh my! Also a pizza that looked pretty good done 2 ways as specials. I ordered specials of the bees rub and a jalapeño cheddar sausage. 2 sides for $5.50 of Cheesy Potatoes and their chili. Fantastic. The facility was nice, a lot of natural light from the south facing windows, clean. We sat outside under the umbrellas of 4 picnic tables in front. Service was very kind and paid great attention to service. Good hard working people delivered a great product with service. My coworker had the pulled pork and ribs. He loved it. A lot of food and there were leftovers. A snack for later in the day. I'll probably be back tomorrow on Friday during lent to give their fish fry a whirl. They have way the bar and I expect awesomeness again Friday, unless work pulls me from Wichita. This will be a regular stop when I am in Wichita on future work travels. read more

Great food. Great People. Walking in it's super dark on the inside and a stack of menus before you get to order. Selection of sides and sauces was impressive alone. Lots of overall options that you don't see at many BBQ spots. I went with the 2 meat option and ordered the ribs and brisket. Brisket was $2 more. Surprised the ribs weren't an extra cost. Sides I went with the cheesy potatoes and potato salad. No order number. What was impressive they just know who gets the food. Maybe there's someone watching? Food came out and wow portions are larger than other spots. Usually it's 3 ribs and I got four. It was well seasoned, fatty and fell off the bone. The brisket was large cut slices. He gave me two options without fat or fat. Never been asked options for my brisket. I'll be honest the flavor falls flat on the brisket. It was juicy and fatty as requested and the crust was flavorful. But in the middle the flavor disappears completely. Not sure if they inject flavor by needle or not. The sides were delicious. Cheesy potatoes had a velveta taste to them. Potato salad was probably the best I've had in Wichita. So much flavor and seasoning on it. The dining room was nice and clean. Well lit area with all of the windows. The staff were super nice to me. Checked on me twice and asked for my name and talked with me for a while. Left with a great impression that people really enjoy working there and are approachable. I'll become a regular here for the coming future. read more

UPDATE: 2-14-2026 I'm really disappointed in the business and ethics of the owner/chef. I ordered 1 lb of the beef ribs. So, they get close to 1 lb as they can and I understand if 1 beef rib goes over 1 lb. Yes, they are really that big. $18/lb btw. So, I hear him call out the weight so the clerk can put it in the register. 1.17 lb. Total for 1 rib (didn't know that it was only one huge rib) was $21. I was okay with this UNTIL I got home and opened the package. On my scale at home, it came out to be 1.19 lbs. Close right. So the foil probably added the other weight. I look inside and I see one rib with a bone in it and meat on it and then another full rib bone with no meat on it whatsoever. I weigh the bone by itself and it's .16 lb. WHY would the owner/chef add another cooked bone to my order?? Like I said, this bone didn't have ANY MEAT on it. I PAID about $3 for a bone that I cannot eat and that I did not ask for! I do not want to be scammed out of money, not even 3 bucks. I took a photo of the ribs as it came wrapped up. As for the beef rib... it was thick and meaty and delicious! Would I order one again at $18 per rib? Probably not. I ordered some pork ribs again and they were still meaty and tender. I'm not sure if I will be back. Yes,some things were good but being overcharged by putting an extra bone in for weight just hits me the wrong way, it's the same as stealing to me. The brisket burnt end that I tried was tasty and tender. The sliced brisket wasn't as tender as I expected but had good smoke and great bark! Pork belly burnt ends were great. The slaw was good but my opinion needed a little bit more citrus or vinegar and some zest, maybe a small amount of cream?. Potatoes were good. I like the garlic in them but maybe a tad too much garlic for me. Overall a good experience and I can't wait to try some of the other meats and sides. That pizza... great crust. Great flavors, and I really enjoyed that red pizza sauce on it. Seems like they have special new items or trying new things most every week along with their staple bbq meats. honestly regret coming here. I was expecting BBQ, but what I got was completely flavorless and disappointing. I ordered a sausage link and brisket, and both were awful. Dry, bland, and just plain bad -- nothing tasted right. The worst part was what happened after. I spent the entire night stuck in the bathroom, feeling miserable and sick. That alone tells me everything I need to know about the quality of this place. Yes, the prices are cheap, but now I understand why. You truly get what you pay for. The ribs were my definite favorite- we took advantage of a the Valentine's Day Special of ribs and brisket, 2 sides, drink and dessert. We added on a side; trying potato salad, BBQ beans, and the Cucumber Tomato Salad = ALL were dynamite! The brisket could have been more tender, flavor was good. Pretty good. Took a couple of employees for lunch today and all ordered the 1 meat/2 side lunch and added an after meat. It was solid. Probably need to have a taste for Kansas style BBQ, I prefer TX now that I've tried some KS. It wasn't bad at all but didn't have the same deep was I expect from bbq. The highlight was definitely the hot sauce I chose to dip in, SO GOOD! The Mac n cheese side lacked a rich cheese flavor and was kinda dry. The BBQ beans were pretty good. Felt like a typical BBBQ joint, just tables and chairs, nothing fancy cuz nothing fancy is needed. Staff and owner were friendly and professional. Owner helped make some suggestions and the pulled pork and ribs are solid choices. I didn't really care for the Kansas Hot Link, skin was a bit tough but the flavor was good. This was our second choice as the first place we went was packed, so our expectations were a little low. We were taken care of within a minute of walking in, paid about 60 bucks for four guys, ages 18-22 years old, so we can eat. Got four types of meat and four sides and four drinks and we had at least a serving of meat leftover and a lot of the sides left. Took my family for a 2nd visit for Christmas Eve. Everyone was really friendly and helpful when ordering. All three of Us ordered the 1 Meat 2 side dinners. We enjoyed our brisket and sides. I feel like this is one of the best BBQ spots in Wichita. Their Brisket was really tender and flavorful both times we went. They have a good selection of sides. I tried different sides both times I went and they were phenomenal both times. Which I feel like it's good when a resturaunt is consistent. I would definitely visit again if I was in the area. Quick service and decent selection of food but everything tasted bland like it wasn't seasoned at all. Brisket was very tough with more fat than edible meat and served in one big slab that was almost impossible to cut, my husband had to use his pocket knife as they only have plastic ware. I got nachos and half of it was chip crumbles from the bottom of a bag and they heated it up in a microwave and it was hardly warm. The chicken was just spicy, no barbecue flavor at all. A lot of locations are quick to put the word BBQ next to their name. However, tanker barbecue was amazing. Not only was the portions fit for a king. The flavors were outstanding. I met the owner and the manager. They were extremely kind. The spices they use really highlighted the flavor of the food. I couldn't get over how big the portions were. I had two chicken quarters that added up being 3 pounds of Chicken. Potato salad, macaroni salad, garlic, green beans, wow overall great experience. An underrated barbecue find in the Wichita Area ! Everyone was friendly and helpful ordering our food. All three of us got the 1 meat 2 side meal it was a good deal for the price. You get a lot of meat and sides, I was very surprised I even couldn't finish it all myself. The Brisket was extremely tender and juicy. It's probably one of the best slices of brisket I have had in town. The potato salad was really creamy and the mac and cheese was as well. Everyone enjoyed their sides and brisket. My wife and myself went there last Saturday for lunch. Their dinning area is not pretty, but the food was great. Had their lunch special which was brunt ends and two sides. Wife had the green beans and corn casserole. I had the brunt ends with garlic salad and cheesy potatoes. Service was good, my only complaint was they don't give you enough food.
