I originally came in with blonde hair because I wanted to return to my natural color. I was very clear that my goal was a complete color change to a much darker brown/black. I did not come in asking for a temporary gloss, yet I was charged $300+ for what I now understand was essentially a gloss treatment. Within only two and a half weeks, the color had significantly faded and the blonde underneath began becoming visible again. I was then told to return once the color faded -- but realistically, I am now expected to spend another $300+ every few weeks to maintain a color I originally came in expecting to be changed? That is extremely frustrating and, in my opinion, unacceptable. The reason I went to professional stylists in the first place was because I do not trust box dye. I have specifically been warned by stylists about the risks of using it, so I trusted the professionals to recommend and perform the appropriate service to actually accomplish my goal. What concerns me most is that I was never made to feel that a gloss was simply a temporary option that would require repeated $300+ appointments to maintain. Had I been clearly told that the service I was receiving was temporary and that the color would likely fade within a few weeks, I could have made an informed decision about whether that was worth the cost. I trusted the stylist to understand my goal and recommend the appropriate solution -- not to leave me feeling like I have to continually spend hundreds of dollars just to maintain the result I originally requested. Clients trust professionals with their hair, their money, and their confidence. That trust comes with an expectation of transparency about what service is actually being performed, how long the results are expected to last, and what ongoing costs may be involved. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and would like the business to take responsibility for explaining why the service I received did not align with the result I specifically came in requesting.

Eddie is a great stylist. For the past two years we have been driving for an hour and a half to have my girlfriend's hair done. We were recommended by a friend who has known Eddie for many years. She had badly damaged hair and had a keratin treatment among other things. After he was done, needless to say, my girlfriend was ecstatic! We have personally witnessed several of his customers come in with disaster hair and walk out with beautiful hair. Just look at the pictures and the reviews. They are true. Eddie has magic hands. I read some reviews before writing this one and saw that some people mentioned the parking situation and that the place looked "kinda sketchy." Well we went today and visited his new salon and am happy to report that the new location is great but also the parking situation is also much better. He has also added more personnel as well as additional services such as facials, microblading and many other services. Thanks again Eddie and Miriam for all of your hard work. It has been months since I first posted this review. We came back to get my girlfriends hair done and since I was looking pretty shaggy she tells me, "why don't you get your hair cut?" I said ok and Miriam had time so I did. Miriam was great, she washed my hair asked me what I wanted and proceeded to cut my hair. I have very straight and thick hair so whenever I get it cut if they make a mistake it shows. I was very pleasantly surprised, my haircut was great. Was also surprised at what it cost. I have been hesitant to try a new hair stylist since moving to Azusa from LA. After 2 years of no cut and the temptation to start cutting my own hair, I walked into Chic salon and booked a haircut for wavy hair with Eddie. I also asked if he would be open to using Cecred product I had gotten at Ulta that I was also hesitant to do myself. Eddie is such a professional and warm energy to be around, he was glad to try the hair treatment and also guided me in deciding the best cut based on my hair type and damage. I got long layers with framing around my face and absolutely felt revived!! I loved it so much I scheduled again for the next day to get a color treatment. Eddie suggested to do toner and no bleach to preserve the health of my hair and also styled it after. His blowout curl lasted 3 days. I will be back on a prompt 6 week schedule because I have absolutely found my new hairstylist! TL;DR If you are in Azusa you don't have to go far for a quality cut and a good time! I absolutely loved my experience at Chic Beauty Salon! The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the entire visit was smooth from start to finish. They got me in and out in under an hour during my lunch break, which was incredible, and I still received amazing care. Ebony -- I hope I'm saying her name correctly -- was wonderful. She was kind, professional, and did a fantastic job on my hair. She even added a small treatment, which made the experience feel even more thoughtful and special. It's hard to find a salon that is this efficient, talented, and attentive all at once. Chic Beauty Salon truly exceeded my expectations. When I left the Philippines for almost a year now to migrate here in the US, one of my worries is finding a good hair stylist because the one taking care of my hair there is so good that the outcome of my hair style, color and highlights is always perfect. So when I got my first hair cut since I arrived here, it was not followed by another for obvious reason. Today, I really can't take anymore how my hair looks thus, I walked in this salon and was greeted by Miriam. At first it will only be a simple trim but was convinced by her to have hair coloring for my gray (which I normally do myself) and later on to include highlights, the result of all I am very much satisfied. Wow!!! All i have to say is im absolutely blown away!! Anayancy is amazing I went in having black box dye from 7 months ago and i wanted a balyage she took all precautions needed to make sure my hair stayed as healthy as possible and it came out lighter than i expected!! i got an appointment set up right Away she requested a picture of my hair without me telling her anything except that I had the Black hair dye she was able to tell that previously (before the black)my hair was very light (blonde)that says a lot about her knowledge in hair. EDDY..... Best Hairdresser EVER I have been having my hair cut by Eddy at the Chic salon for over 3 years and he is truly fantastic! I have had such bad experiences in the past with hairdressers, but from my very first cut with Eddy he has always put me at ease, and I have always left the salon completely in love with my hair. So I went to get my hair done at Chic Beautify Salon by Iris. I was delighted by how welcoming and safe I felt by everyone. Everyone there was so nice and helpful.
