Bought an ad off of Groupon to get my hair done by Alyssa. She did a good job the first time. I got a haircut, blow dry, and partial highlights. Came out good it just needed more toning in the front because some parts were brassy in the front. I decided to go lighter on the highlights and went to her again but this time it didn't come out so well. Im not sure if I didn't explain what I wanted well enough but you can see that there needed to be a lot more blending of the color.. there was a lot of harsh lines and the front needed to be toned. I got it color corrected and toned at a different salon. If you come here, they're so nice so you won't have a problem with costumer service but make sure you say exactly what you want and that your color is blended well and toned well. read more

Scenario: I was visiting in Glendora, CA and walked in off of the street with my hair in a giant mop of a bun, secured there with about 10 bazillion hair pins. The bun was hiding the right half of my hair which had been burnt off from too much bleaching. I asked them if they could take a walk-in, explained what a tragic mess my hair was and also said I needed to go get some lunch first. Could I BE more high maintenance?! lol They were incredibly friendly and didn't bat an eye. I let Tina know that I wanted a complete change and big cut, and she was up for the challenge. She very nicely said to have a nice lunch and she'd see me in an hour. I came back, sat down, and I was immediately offered a glass of wine, to which I replied: "You are officially now my new favorite salon." :) Tina walked me back to her station, and I showed her about 10 different photos on my archaic laptop. We then took my hair down (which was a HOT mess) and she was very nice, but very honest with me about the state my hair was in and what options I had. She's all of 22 yrs old, but I completely trusted her based on our conversation and told her to do whatever she thought was best. That was a very good call on my part! Tina is GORGEOUS, her hair is FLAWLESS, and she's incredibly friendly and conversation was easy and fun. Here I am, this 40 yr old bat-crazy lady, and I could easily converse with her. She was very sensitive to the fact that I was making a huge change in my hair and kept checking in with me to make sure I liked where it was at. Midway through when the big changes started happening, the other very nice gal (I apologize, I can't remember her name - blonde, also very pretty, and very friendly) offered me another glass of wine. YES, PLEASE! They definitely know how to take the edge off of a big-change haircut. The pricing was slightly higher than on the east coast, where I'm from. Not ridiculously higher - $50 for a cut and style and worth *every single penny*. The result: I could NOT be happier. I feel like she took 10 years off of me with this cut! Very easy to manage, trendy, cute and hip. I love, love, love it. My hair is SO much healthier, and I've gotten TONS of compliments on the cut. So, so, so happy I walked in to this place (after reading the other stellar yelp reviews)! Kimmy, went over my highlights with bleach. Added no color, she highlighted my existing highlights added no color. The first time she blew dry my hair I saw the highlights are very brassy she did not tone them down. Then she said I'll put in a toner in your hair. Which I found odd. I have never had someone do my hair without a toner. Of course, an extra charge. Now my hair looks even worse! I could of done a better job myself. However she does curl hair ok. My hair looks awful day before Easter. She charges way to much $170 for not knowing what she is doing. pricey lesson well learned. Oops! I forgot to add the orangey reddish look I have in the regrowth area. What kind of hairdresser just highlights your current highlights and thinks it's going to look good? I really wanted to love this place. Even before you've finished entering the salon, you are greeted with friendly faces, eager to serve you a mimosa, champaign, or some freshly brewed coffee. Lovely interior design. A little hard to spot while driving though. My first visit, I went in wanting to turn my box dyed brown hair into blonde with a partially natural streak in front. I had been platinum blonde, went crazy and dyed it drugstore box red, then box brown when the red just wouldn't stay in, due to extremely porous hair. I asked for some Betty Paige bangs and a trim and I couldn't believe how amazing my hair came out after being processed twice that day. Bleach is a sacrifice and a long process. Shay Halton was so patient and friendly, always offering some reading material or a beverage while my hair processes. There was a mixup with communication and one of her appointments was scheduled in the middle of mine. I didn't mind, I was waiting for the bleach to work its magic. Because of the mix up, I ended up missing work that day, said appointment took longer than expected-pushing my hairs next step down 30 minutes. My second visit proceeded to be a disaster. I made an appointment one morning for a root touch up and a trim the next morning. When I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early, I was informed that Shay hadn't arrived yet, but should be there shortly. 45 minutes later the lady at the front desk called Shays cell phone to get an idea of how much longer Id have to wait, and apparently she didn't even know she had an appointment that morning so she hadn't even left her home. I was really disappointed that the communication was not there, once again. They must not have told her she had a new client for the next morning, and she must not have checked the appointment book before she left the day before. I really loved the way Shays hair cut gave me the kind of body my hair looks good with, I don't like the time issue that seems to come along with the territory. read more

Worst haircut of my life! I brought a picture and it did not even resemble the style in the picture and it was way over priced

Kimmy is a talented, attentive, careful, and professional hairstylist. I texted her and asked for an appointment asap because I would be flying back home to NJ soon. She got me an appointment for the day after she came back from her own vacation despite the salon itself being closed because I would be getting on my flight the next day. I had texted her pictures of my hair which was done at another salon; it was overbleached in some areas to near white and brassy in other random areas, plus my roots had started to grow in. I told her I didn't have much preference of how I wanted it to end up looking, I just wanted her expert opinion on how to get it FIXED, and she went absolutely above and beyond. She explained the whole process through text as well as while she was doing my hair to make sure I wasn't confused or worried. She watched my hair under the bleach, continuously checking to make sure my hair wasn't breaking because it was overbleached before. She asked me throughout the process for my opinion but I just agreed with her expert suggestions every time. She didn't stop doing my hair until she was satisfied and I was satisfied. My hair turned out so much better than I could've asked for and I felt that my hair's health was safe the entire time in Kimmy's care. Her dedication and enjoyment for her work was a great thing to see. But honestly, I think these before and after pictures speak for themself :). read more

Orange County) for me to get a hair cut from Janet became a challenge until Salon 2one8 in Glendora opened. I don't think I could of ask for a better place for Janet to have moved to. Getting beautified today with my main best hair stylist Marcos! "Blonder for the summer" and he knows what hair style fits best for my skin tone and length. Always shows a different way of styling it and listens to my needs. Such a sweetie and he never fails to leave me breathless with my hair styling. I recommend calling and asking for Marcos. With former hair stylist, it would take about 3 hours to get highlights and they would damage my hair. With Marcos, I'm in and out in about an 1 to 1.5 hours. Trust me, he will never disappoint. Ariana did a fabulous job on my hair. I went in ridden with anxiety because of my lack of a haircut in three years! My hair is extremely long, a little past my bottom. I have always been used to long hair and am scared every time I go in for a cut that it will end up too short. But this amazing petite woman tackled my locks with no trouble at all. She was very tuned into my needs and handled my concerns with delicacy. I was set at ease as soon as she started with my wash because I could tell she knew what she was doing. I ended up with exactly what I wanted and the length was perfect. Sooo... let me tell you guys a quick story. I haven't done my hair in maybe over a year. I can only go to one person for this and her name is Denise! Denise is so well-rounded in her profession. She has been almost a decade into her career. I felt extremely comfortable with her knowledge and understanding of what I wanted. I gave her my ideas and she bounced off hers with mine. As a woman, I know how hard it is for us to trust someone with our hair lol. Throughout the process she was explaining what she was doing, how she was doing it, and if I was okay with it. Constant reassurance from her was so helpFul and wonderful. She cut my hair to the perfect length and I was in love with my balayage! She may look young, but her experience is beyond years.
