The orange duck wasn't very orange. While the duck itself was OK the sauce was borderline awful. Tasted like they put sugar in the ratatouille, also a miss. Maybe the chef was having a petite mal seizure and couldn't recall what to do. Shame because I was looking for a good French restaurant and this one is close but I'd rather eat at McDonalds where I know it will taste like it's supposed to. read more

We had been coming here for years. The food and service are consistently very good. basically comfort food. My wife tried the Turkey Meatloaf with Sage Gravy and Cranberry Relish, comes with a chose of 2 sides; Broccoli, French Fries, Vegetable of the Day, Jasmine Rice, Mashed Potatoes, Sautéed Spinach with Garlic and Oil, Sweet Mash, or Wild Rice. very good and she really enjoyed it. I opted for the Seared Sesame Tuna with Sesame Ginger Soy, Wasabi Cream, Served over Vegetable Fried Rice. Great choice, tuna was excellent and a large portion. For dessert, we ordered the Frozen Turtle Cake, coffee ice cream on a chocolate chip brownie with a Heath bar crunch on top. Also a very choice. read more

I hadn't been to Henry's in quite a while. Years ago it was wonderful. I went there with two friends recently and very different now. First of all it had musty smell to it. first the waitress told us it was happy hour and that we were lucky for that. Then suddenly she said no it's not happy hour and did not honor the happy hour price. We ordered three drinks anyway and they were all watered down and tasteless. We sent one of them back and all they did was send a little glass of grapefruit juice to go with it. They did not remake the drink. We ordered the mussels from the appetizer menu. They were ice cold and also o flavor. We told the waitress that they were ice cold and she just said that we were the second person who complained about that but yet did nothing about it. The rest of the food was very average, if that. we were very disappointed and won't be going back. The waitress saw that we did not eat the mussels. It was almost a full plate and yet did not take it off the bill or offer anything. read more

I've been hearing how good Henry's Friday night Prime Rib Dinner is. Well, I don't have to rely on others for me to know how good it is any more! Tonight I took my cousins so we could taste it for ourselves. I started with Caesar Salad, while my cousins tried the Split Pea Soup. Both were delicious and a great way to start a great meal! When the prime rib dinners were brought out we commented on how succulent and perfectly cooked each dinner looked. In addition, each dinner came with a baked potato with all the 'fixins', and grilled asparagus. After over two hours of feasting, we 'waddled' out and promised to return soon. read more

Henry's never disappoints. Having just spent New Years Eve dining at Henry's we came away with another great experience. The food is exceptional. We enjoyed Salmon and a 10 oz.Filet and both were superb. The service for such a busy evening was stellar. Henry's is an OK restaurant located in a small strip wall in Del Ray Beach. The menu has a variety of options ( think burgers, chicken, pasta dishes ). Food is quite mediocre. Nothing awful but at the same time nothing really good or great or memorable but you can have a solidly decent meal here. Portions are on the larger side. Service is good. read more

BEWARE OF THEIR TIME POLICIY I have been to this restaurant for the past 27 years even when Burt was the owner. It recently has new owners. Many of my partner's friends eat lunch there a number of times a month and we have dinner there as well. NO MORE. We made a reservation for 2 tonight and asked for a booth since my partner finds it difficult to hear at a table next to others. The maitre de said that we would have 1 HOUR TO EAT AND THEN WE WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE IF WE WANTED A BOOTH!! I have never had this from any restaurant I have even been to. SO WE LEFT. About 15 minutes later I received a call from a young lady saying they just received a cancellation and we could have a booth. (That was nonsense because we had a confirmed reservation so someone else cancelling would have no affect on our table.) But she reiterated that we only had 1 hour to eat. So much for a nice relaxing dinner. read more

I wrote in my original review that one of my chicken medallions was almost raw. At the time when I gave that negative review I was not sick...yet. Only 3 bites of under cooked meat has made me really sick. Would they want to know that someone rushed their ( if it had been pounded thin as the recipe calls for it would have been cooked properly) poor rendition of chicken piccata? read more

Friday night the special is prime rib and that what I had. A beautifully cooked piece of meat medium rare as requested yet not cold as this cut is often served. Asparagus well cooked as was a baked potato. My wife had mussels which were plump and perfectly cooked. It was all great but the super star of the show was the cheesecake, great texture and taste. Everything about this restaurant last night was awful. It was supposed to be a special occasion. It was two birthdays. It was note it on the reservation and you would think that the restaurant would've done something about that. The weight staff was awful. Two of the meals, which were Caesar salad were $24 each with four shrimp on them all Romain lettuce and maybe three or four pieces of Parmesan. My daughter-in-law ordered a well done Burger. It came out with the raw bacon. The french fries were limp and the burger was rare. When she went to return it, they returned it back to her and all they did was flame it and she knew that because she had cut the burger in half and it came back that way. Henry's is a little bit old fashioned. Every time I go there I feel like I'm stepping into the past. The big room has mostly booths and tables. There's also a bar room with booths, tables and a large bar. Outdoor dining is popular and the patio is beautiful. Service is good and the servers go out of their way to be helpful. read more

An excellent restaurant for diverse tastes. As a vegetarian I enjoyed the quinoa arugula salad with goat cheese, cranberries and candied almonds. The table bread was hearty and warm with seeds, and the key lime pie was visually lovely as well as tasty. read more

Went to Henry's for the first time. We were a large group, five couples celebrating a birthday. The waitress had a bad attitude when we told her each couple would like a separate check at the end of the meal. The food was so-so. I ordered the $20 hamburger with a side of fries. The hamburger came with lettuce and tomato pickles with no dressing (e.g., ketchup). The fries weren't as good as McDonald's. My spouse had spinach w/cheese as a side: she said it was awful. Staff bringing the food from the kitchen often delivered it to the wrong person because the waitress was not around to guide them. It took forever to pay our check because the waitress said she was busy doing other things. Because we were considered a "large party," we were all charged a 20% tip, even though it was a 10% max service. read more

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Henry's & it was an extremely unpleasant experience. We have enjoyed dining at Henry's for years & when previous diners warned about how awful their food was now we were sure they were mistaken. The turkey looked like it was pieces of white meat pressed together & tasted the same. The sweet potatoes & stuffing were okay but even the pumpkin pie tasted like gelatin. I had the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes. The food was really flavorful with decent sized portions. The attire is casual dressy. You could easily dress up or down for this place though. The crowd seemed to be mostly elderly or families. I took my parents here for Mother's Day which was perfect for my purpose. But I would probably hesitate recommending this to younger crowds looking to mingle with their own age groups. There's indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly outdoors. They have a small full size bar inside if you're not interested in table seating. Service was decent considering it was a busy holiday. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Visiting our parents for the day and wanted to have dinner before heading off and a neighbor suggested Henry's. I Yelp'ed it and noted the restaurant had 3.5 stars, but also a number of recent five star reviews. My parents rarely go out and this is very close, so we gave it a go. You need to call for a reservation and the person answering the phone and taking the reservation was so unfriendly, I was already looking at other places. Parents didn't want to go far, so pressed for Henry's. I'll sum it up - three stars. The front desk person was very friendly, but was the only one. There had been a very recent leak in the ceiling and the place smelled like mold. Our bad, we should have left at that point. Some of the food was good - wedge salads and pork chop; most just ok. Our server clearly didn't want to be there and was from the same mold as the reservation guy. Two of the four orders had a mistaken extra (shrimp) or wrong sides and the server asked 'do you really want me to take them back'. Mistakes happen, not a problem, but disconcerting question. We kept the orders as is and skipped dessert. It seems the place was really good in the past and could be really good (again), but not during this visit. We will skip next time. As an aside, our mom called her neighbor to let her know about our experience at Henry's and the neighbor said they hadn't been in a few years.... They honoured the reservation when we came into the dining room, on time! The food was excellent and the service was right on par. We ate outside and it was breezy and very pleasant. I had the Branzino which was served on a bed of delicious rice and sauté spinach. Some else had the chicken, and someone in our party ordered the steak.
