Very fast car wash! The coffee shop and convenience store w/a Subway inside was so cool. If my car wash took longer than 15 mins, I would have loved to lounge in the coffee shop. I went Mon morning before 11am for early bird special giving me $3.00 although they charge $1.00 for Truck/SUV's :( It's worth it to go for early bird special since the $3.00 off will end up being given as a tip! They detailed my SUV on 3/15/19. They had my car for over 4 hours. When I went to pick it up, the console cup holder was still dirty, the shift area was dirty, the vents weren't conditioned and the front end plastic was not conditioned. They said their product would not work. The detail manager should QA the job before pick-up. Again, had it for 4 hours, should not have to do any touch ups. A note about the front end black plastic. This is a "detail" shop and they should have ALL products available to get the job done! I went and bought a product myself at Craig's Auto Parts and works great. The wax job looks good and the majority of the exterior plastic and tires did get conditioned. They need to step up their game if they are going to charge that much for a detail job. read more

I was recommended here by my friend because he told me they give student discounts. When I asked them about it they said they stopped doing student discount for a year know (that's fine, I didn't mind it). As my first time and first one there, they took the time to explain the different packages and what my car needed. I ended up taking the santiago wash with an extra cost to protect my plastic covers inside my car. So overall customer service is good. However, when I got my car back i noticed they didn't vacuum correctly. On the sides of my seats was still crumbs and dirt. My central console was not even wiped down. The outside of my car has streaks. I don't think i'll be going there again because I would've done a better job vacuuming myself. I also was so anxious to clean it up right away as soon as i got home so i didn't take pictures but I ended up revaccuming and with a microfiber towel got rid of the streaks and cleaned my console. I paid almost $50 for half the job I could've done. I guess if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. read more

Mediocre at best. Took my car here today and paid 21.99 + $1.00 for SUV fee. Guy vacuuming left my running shoes that were on the floor in the back on the seat. Tires are still incredibly dirty. Still dirt and dust on the inside. I expect my car to be clean for that price, not need to be wiped down again when I get home. read more

This place did a terrible job. I never write reviews because I usually don't care... However this was horrible. I took my car in early in the morning to get it washed and the gentleman was very nice. I asked for the executive wash and an extremely detailed vacuum (I had dogs in my car) which I would pay extra for. He said "no no we will do a good job". I get back in my car and they did not vacuum the backseat or the back floor! Not only does it not have a "air freshener smell" and dust on the dash, but there is still floating dog hair on the seat. The cost+tip was NOT worth it and I will not be back. Thank god I didn't take the up-charge they were offering for wax! I am extremely disappointed and felt compelled to let others know. read more

I had been a regular customer of Santiago Hills Auto Spa "SHAS" located in East Orange since it's inception in 1999. I had received exceptionally great service during all these years and a totally satisfied customer with several vehicles washed frequently at SHAS. Recently, however, the attention to detail started slipping fairly significantly and quite noticeably. The attendant would flag my attention indicating he was finished after 2-3 minutes of drying time which seemed too quick. Instead of bothering the gentleman drying my vehicle, I would politely request to borrow a towel from the car drying person and he was always happy to loan me a towel for a few minutes. I gave him his tip and thanked him ("gracias amigo") for his service. Then I would simply spend about 6-8 minutes and go around my vehicle and touch-up all the areas that he missed, including the door jambs and would return the towel and leave. However, on my next visit, I was approached by a person who identified himself as a supervisor, while I was in the process of drying my vehicle. He advised me I could longer request a towel to dry my vehicle myself. I was told to just ask the attendant to do all the missed areas. I was surprised by the supervisor's beligerent and condescending attitude, but said "that's fine" anyways. So I immediately stopped drying my vehicle and returned the towel to the supervisor. So I had to wait 4-5 minutes for the attendant to complete the vehicle he was drying. So I started pointing out the numerous areas that were neglected, still dirty or wet. The supervisor was still close by and started to give me a poor attitude. Finally, I requested for the drying person to dry the door jambs and he stated the jambs weren't included in the wash price. I inquired how much more for the jambs and he stated the jambs would cost an additional $13.00. I was literally shocked by this outrageous additional fee! I declined his offer and requested to do them myself but he refused to allow me to do any drying myself and advised me to leave the premises if I wanted to dry my vehicle myself. He advised me if I wanted to finish drying my vehicle, I would have to drive over to the Albertson's parking lot and finish drying my vehicle off of the SHAS premises. I was so flabbergasted and it was a really hot day (August) and concerned about all the hard water spots. I finally requested to borrow a towel so I could complete the drying process myself and he refused and raised his voice and ordered me to leave the premises immediately. A week later, I visited SHAS and the service writer was laughing and texting with another co-worker in the drive-up lanes (I thought they must be on a break) and nobody was around to assist me. So I started vacuuming the trunk myself because it was extra soiled. The service writer then approached me and stated I was not allowed to vacuum the trunk myself and turned of the electricity to the vacuum. I said "that's fine" and went to the office to pay. After 2-3 minutes of drying time, I'm notified my car is already ready. I was really surprised how quikly it was done. I started pointing out the many areas that are still dirty and wet to the car drying person. Then Loui, General Manager, approached us and looked furious and told his employee rudely to go away. Loui refused to have his staff spend any additional time to dry my vehicle. He became agitated when I requested a towel so I could perform the drying myself. As this dialog escalated, he became more and more confrontational, beligerent and condescending and began yelling at me to leave the premises immediately. I was so disgusted with this despicable treatment I went back into the store seeking to speak with another manager. I was advised Loui is the general manager and requested the name of the owner. I was given a name of "Jay" and a phone number to reach him. I immediately called Jay and informed him what just occurred along with some of the recent history of events and the poor service I had been receiving. Since this was on a Friday afternoon, he assured me, repeatedly, he would "perhaps" speak to Loui on Saturday or "for sure" on Monday. Jay promised me on several occasions during the quite lengthy conversation that I would receive a follow up telephone call on Tuesday to inform me of the results of his investigation. Today is 12/8/14 and it has been approximately 90 days since these events occurred. I believe I have been more than patient in waiting for an appropriate response. Out of respect & fairness to the employees that actually do the physical work to hand wash & dry my vehicles, I have NO issues NOR complaints & they deserve a 5 star rating because they work really hard. However, unfortunately this YELP site does not allow for a multiple category rating system. To date, I have not received a single response of any kind from SHAS except for 3 staff members taking pictures of my protest sign & then mumbled some inappropriate comments. read more

Just moved into the area and REALLY needed to wash my truck! I have a dog who hangs out with me pretty much everywhere I go, so the backseat had quite a bit of dog hair to get out. I had her with me when I came, and the gas station attendants not only let me bring her in to pay, but on two separate times while I was waiting outside offered her dog treats! It was so sweet and my puppy loved it. Also, Connor at the coffee shop was very friendly and made a great peppermint mocha while I waited! That being said...I went there to get my truck washed and the end result was extremely disappointing for a place that looked so nice. When I pulled up, I was greeted and asked which wash I wanted. I usually just get a more basic wash, but decided that my truck could use more, so opted for the more extensive wash costing $40. It was 9:30am and I had to leave there by 10:00am to get to work on time. I asked the attendant if that would be enough time to do that wash because I needed to leave by 10 and he said that shouldn't be a problem. I then opened by back door and pointed out to him the hair on the floor that I wanted vacuumed, and the marks on the windows and doors that I wanted wiped clean. Everything seemed good so I paid and sat outside to wait. They didn't finish with my truck until 10:20. Already 20 minutes late, I was annoyed, but I paid a lot of money for this car wash. It had to be good, right? Wrong. When I walked up and handed my tip to the attendant, I noticed that they didn't even spray out the bed of my truck. There was still hay and dirt in it. I pointed this out to the attendant and asked him why they didn't even wash that part out. (I'm not completely unreasonable...I don't need it to be perfect or scrubbed by any means, but atleast just hose the dirt and hay out of there!) He gave me a blank stare and said they could run it through the wash again and that it would be 5 minutes. I told him I was already 20 minutes late and didn't really have time, but he insisted that it wouldn't take long so I said ok. When he pulled the truck over 10 minutes later, the bed of the truck looked a little better but still not fully clean. But I was running so late I just said screw it, I don't have time for this. The attendant didn't even wait, just left the keys in the ignition and walked back over to the service area. I quickly opened my back door to let my dog in, and noticed that they vacuumed, but didn't wipe out any of the cup holders or door handle areas whatsoever. I was pretty mad at this point but had to jet out of there :( I'm going to drive back tomorrow morning and ask to speak to a manager. I'm a really friendly, reasonable person. I am just really bummed out and disappointed that I paid $45 for a horrible car wash AND was totally late to work. I'm going to ask him if they can atleast clean the areas they missed... Most likely will not be returning here for a car wash...but we will see how it goes tomorrow :( read more

This is the ONLY place I'll get my car washed. I normally fuel up, go for a car wash, and get a chai tea latte with almond milk at the cafe inside while I wait. I kind of have a little system. I'll get the $26 package (I think it's called the Executive Package), which includes vacuuming, washing the mats, dash and tire dressing, wax, and etc. Considering, my cars have all been new, and I'm incredibly clean and don't like clutter, I've never needed a more inclusive package. I find that the executive package gets all my bases covered. Anyways, after I get the executive package, I'll keep my car clean with an outside wash only once every 1.5-2 weeks. It's not on the list of packages, but you can request outside only. It's a whopping $7 ($8 for large cars and SUVs). What place will deliver a 100% great quality hand wash for $7?! Only this place. It's fantastic... I don't even know if it's common knowledge that you can request it or if I should be spreading the word... Oops (you're welcome). Basically, I get the nice package then follow up with outside washes until I feel like my interior could use some vacuuming or the mats need to be washed. It's a good little cycle I've got going, and it keeps my car very happy and clean :) I've gotten 3-4 friends and my boyfriend hooked on this spot, because the prices and quality are unbeatable. Plus the waiting area is nice (check out the turtles while you sip on a latte). They never take very long... The outside wash only normally takes about 10 minutes... 15 if it's jammed. Best part? They never cease to amaze! Even when I get the outside wash, they normally wipe down the dash to get rid of any dust and shake out the mats. Sometimes they still include the dash/tire dressing even though they don't need to. Be sure to have some cash on you for tip, because the dudes really deserve it! read more

Stopped having my car washed here after several years of impeccable service. Then it wasn't so impeccable. Water spots left everywhere. Poor window cleaning. No scent added to car when requested on several occasions. We now have two cars in the family and prefer to wash them ourselves. This place is a goldmine and it appears that they can't keep up with quality and don't care about the service they were once known for. Sorry guys. I, too, had a bad experience at this car wash. I got the Santiago Car Wash, and the attendants just ran the vacuum through the interior, and barely got the surface. There were many spots they missed, including the trunk which I paid extra for since it's a small SUV. They didn't even bother moving my belongings to get the back of the trunk. Inside, there were some spill stains in the door. When I asked the manager David about it, he said that the car wash I got only includes minor dusting, like on the dashboard. They missed some spots in that area too. To get those spills out, he said I would've had to pay $7.99 more for an interior wipe down because it requires extra chemicals. Now to the exterior. There were some bird poop marks and other areas they missed. I asked an attendant to wipe them off and he lightly ran the towel across them. No wonder they didn't come off! I would like to support a local business, but when the service is this bad, I'll go elsewhere. read more

One of the better car washes I've experienced. They get the car clean...and very clean, too. Not just mostly clean. The staff are all super friendly. (I've never experienced anyone being un-friendly here as some reviewers have but I am probably the rare individual in the OC who's ever been told by a customer service person that "You are the friendliest person I've dealt with all week...Thank you for being so nice to me." I've been going to this car wash for the past 4 years. Good service at a reasonable price. Today, after my car was washed, I discovered that over HALF A TANK OF GAS WAS SYPHONED out of my car! About $20-$25 worth of fuel. I complained to the supervisor immediately and he responded with some nonsensical broken-English dribble. I had no way to prove that the tank was full when I arrived at the car wash just 30 minutes earlier so basically it was my word against theirs. Bottom line is that if you have your car washed here, keep an eye on it from the time it is vacuumed until it reaches the drying queue. There are plenty of other car washes in my neighborhood... I've been a customer here for years.... They do a basic car wash and have a loyalty program which allows for a free wash after 8 washes.... You may want to keep track, it definitely is hit and miss... So, after asking for my "wash" balance my last three visits and being told the "computer is down", I finally asked that the manager check my balance. BTW (cashiers are aloof at best, really couldn't care less about their customers), well after about 10 minutes I was told that in fact I did have a free wash..... what do you know.... I am now going to Town and Country Car Wash on Chapman, a bit more expensive, a much better wash and the employees treat you like they are happy for your business. Good luck. read more

Paid extra because I have an SUV. This was the worst car wash I have ever had. The outside looks pretty good and the windows are clean. The carpets were not totally vacuumed and the dash console still had dusty/dirty spots that obviously had not been wiped. We asked the car washer to please clean the passenger seat, as it had not been vacuumed and still had debris. When we opened the back it appears that it was never vacuumed. I have been having my standard auto services performed here for several years. The work always seems to be performed correctly and in a reasonable time frame. I have questioned pricing in the past but in the long run I was convinced it was correct. They used to give a free car washes with your oil change but that ended sometime in mid 2008. read more

By far one of the nicest gas stations I've been to. Whoever laid out the design for this place deserves a high five. Even when the pumps are occupied, you can still navigate the place with ease. Inside, you can find anything to eat or drink that you could think of. Well, maybe not TurDuckEn, but you get the idea. Fuel prices are standard for Orange County, not low but not outrageous. I have yet to try the car wash, but whenever I'm in the area- I make it a point to stop in and give them my business. read more

I drive 10 minutes over from Anaheim Hills. The car wash by our house is soo slow I can't stand it and SHAS costs less and does a better job. I have been coming here for years. They still have a free car wash program-you don't need a punch card, just ask at the register how many you have tallied up. They keep track of it for you via your license plate number. I always come weekday mornings for the early bird special. I have never had a customer service problem. Everyone has always been nice and kid friendly as well. My little ones love the turtles they have outside at the water fountain! Have you ever had a kid WANT to go to the car wash before?? Mine do! If I'm just getting my usual Executive wash, by the time we go potty, get a snack (coffee shop and Subway right there), and pay for our wash, they are just about done. We have never had to wait longer than indicated and there is plenty of seating inside or outside. We have gotten the mini-detail a few times and I often get the wax and rug shampoo combo. Everything is always done well and a great price -never disappointed. The workers don't talk much, but they are always polite and if they miss a spot (which is rare), are quick to fix it. They will also do add-ons if you need something specific, but never try to upsell. The good thing about the location is that when we do get the more time consuming cleaning, there is plenty to do at the shopping center. Several times I've walked over to the Albertson's and done grocery shopping, or gone to Tuesday Morning just to browse. There is also a Taco Bell and John's Restaurant to grab a bite. When they're done with the car, if I'm not back, they just park it on the side. A couple times, they've helped me load groceries into the car! read more

I took my car in for a wash the day before yesterday and after I got home and backed out of my driveway, I noticed my back up camera was wonky. It was hanging out of the hole. It wasn't like that when I took my car in to get washed. Now the tab is broke and I have to glue the camera back on. Seeing the other post where they called someone a liar about damaging their car, I decided not to even bring it up. Plus, I don't want them touching my car again. Auto "spa"?? What a joke if you want to pay $24.00 for a mediocre job come to my house and I'll wash your car Because I suck at washing cars and so do they. I spent another half hour finishing up the job I paid for . The guy with the air hose who is supposed to dry the rear view side mirrors (so they don't spray water on your car as you drive away) must've gone on break because he didn't dry mine. All the glass on my car wasn't cleaned into the corners. They used a dirty rag to wipe some of the windows so they still weren't clean. They bottom panel was not cleaned at all. I have a white car so it's not like you would miss it! No less than 5 adult men swarmed over the car to dry and wipe the car, they must practice the synchronized dance of appearing to clean and yet do very little. Also if you do have the misfortune of paying to have your car rinsed off here, they only really "clean" the side of the car you're closest to the other side gets ignored.
