This is an update to my 2014 review. This place has gone somewhat downhill since my review 10 years ago. First of all--I would not do more than an exterior only wash here if that fit in your budget--it's too expensive for me. I sat for 1/2 hour watching how they dried cars that paid for a full wash. If you are lucky you get some one that cared--but most cars come out of the wash with clean rags on the hood and the employee will wipe dirty areas of the car--like the inside door jam area and then use the same rag to wipe the inside. Some employees just go through the motions of making like they are cleaning--like this one guy that wiped just part of a wheel and then wiped the top of the trunk a bit, then the rear bumper a bit. The other thing the rubbed me the the wrong way is the attitude of the manager here. I have not met anyone that has such poor customer service skills--really it seemed like he does not like people (or maybe just me dressed in my bike riding gear and helmet?) I said hello directly to him when I entered the store and he did not say hello back. Then a bit later when he left the counter and was straightening the aisles up I came right up to him and asked him how his day was going just to see what is going on with this guy. Again, it was painful for him to respond, but he begrudgingly did. I see they also removed the bike rack from the front of the store--maybe they don't like cyclists buying overpriced water and things here? It was a very unwelcoming environment that seems to me needs completely new management. Hey, I don't know anything about running a gas station and car wash--but maybe this is the best it can be? But one thing I can tell you is that if I was in charge of this business is that I would welcome every customer that comes through the door especially if they said hello to me first. Been to this gas station so many times on the way to Black Star Canyon, Santiago Canyon and Irvine Park. Love that this gas station has been here for so long, even since high school living in Tustin. It's not as clean as I remember and the bathroom wasn't either but stopped to get water before the show. It's a pretty bit gas station they have everything you need inside too. Snacks, candy, soda, energy drinks, munchies all sorts of things. The guy was at the check out counter was really friendly. It wasn't too busy but this gas station is always busy. They have enough parking and spots for people to get gas. I recommend coming here just wish the bathrooms were a bit cleaner. But excellent customer service and good snacks if you need or want. First off I have had bad experiences with this location. Not only are the prices very high the pumps are very erratic. This time I pulled up and tried to pump gas but this time the screen was dark. I was forced to find another pump. I thought it would be good if I told the register employees about the issue and guess what they said "oh yea we know. You need to come in and pay in advance". Wow...they knew it was down, didn't put caution tape around it so customers know and when I asked "you knew about this and did nothing to inform customers", they laughed. I look at my car as just a means of transportation but still like to have it look reasonably clean and spiffy. After a few weeks of rains, winds, and daily driving it was in need of a good wash. The car wash near my work, where I've been going for the past 20 years, was no longer an option so I decided to give this place a try as it's relatively close to home. The entrance is located at the side of a mini mart/gas station. Pull up to the "stop" sign at the vacuuming area where you choose your wash and exit your car. You pay inside the mini mart; keep your receipt as you need to present it (along with appropriate tip) to the guy who hand-dries your vehicle. There is a comfortable, shaded area next to the "drying off" area to sit while you wait. The whole process was quick and well done. I was satisfied with the vacuuming, interior wipe down, exterior wash, and dry. And that was just for the basic wash at a discount (they have a morning "early bird special"). For a guy like me who doesn't love his car like a family member or a cherished work of art, this place is perfect for a good car wash. read more

This review is for Santiago Hill Auto Spa I am quite frustrated. I paid for the "Presidential wash" which includes wax etc. The of car was cleaned and wiped down and vacuumed. Has new car smell, even though I did say "cherry scent" I was hoping paying extra would get my car cleaned better than pictured. They put wax and sealer on top of the stains still left on the car. The car was not clean yet!! I understand my car was very dirty but they should have recommended I get a good wash. Or at least told me they cleaned the stains and skipped the wax. read more

Afternoon time tends to be more sloppy-ish especially during the weekends due to the rush of customers. Everyone seems to be nice and friendly. I haven't been to this car wash before. The place nearest to me turned into an express wash- one of those better DIY wash place. So this was the one place I tried. Two things happened- the wiper was on so when I started my car after the wash was done, my windshield wipers went on, which ruined the windshield. I pulled into put gas in which was the same parking lot. The entire side still had water spots. The guy missed the entire panel. Instead of going back, I decided to wipe the water spots off. Then I noticed that there were still some dirts left on my car. They were small but still visible. Unsure if I will be back. The person drying off my car was not paying attention to details. Understand I have been coming to this car wash for 20+ years. So I pull up yesterday, 4/21/22, in my Passat for an Express Wax and car wash. The attendant comes up to me looking at his tablet and says it's been a while. I asked for an Express Wax ($59.99) as I have done many times, plus a Interior Wipe Down ($7.99) which is a new service. Keep in mind SUVs and Trucks are $2.00 more in the fine print. He charges me $69.99 for the wax and $18.00 for the interior wipe down. When I ask why he says 4 doors are more expensive plus he gave me a $10.00 manager's discount. Clearly a ripoff!! I asked my wife if she'd had a similar experience or if it might just be me. She said the same attendant charged her extra, beyond $2.00, for her van being 'extra dirty'. All of our driving is on paved roads and freeways. After over 20 years of patronage, I asked for a consideration regarding a rain check after the car was rained on. Whereas the car wash was on Saturday and it rained on Sunday both Monday and Tuesday the car wash was closed due to the orange county fires. and during this week on Wednesday and Thursday my vehicle and I were out of the area catching up on the work that was postponed directly because of the fire. So the first physical day that I was able to get to the car wash I asked if they would take this into consideration. Friendly service, the "interior cleaning $15 package" is a steal because they do an amazing job, and its convenient (right next to MTB trails:)). I have come to this car wash multiple times with two separate vehicles. The vacuuming has always been not good, to the point where I would take my car back to the front to have it done again. The mats don't get moved nor does it seem as though they bother to get under the seats. I'll start by saying the staff from the car wash, gas station, and cafe are all very friendly and helpful. I've given this place a chance time and time again, and I never leave satisfied. Again today, I was shown why I need to stop coming here. I elected the Executive wash bc my car needed a good scrub, I also removed my front seat mats bc they didn't vacuum under them last time. Lo and behold, I got my car back and the driver's side door was still covered in dust/fingerprints and dirt, they only vacuumed the mats in the back seat, and not a cm more(which you could clearly see needed vacuuming). I opened my passenger front door and ended up just grabbing a rag myself and wiping down the inside of my car. One of the employees noticed and started helping wipe down the back seats. I also wiped down some green soap from their machine that was still on the inside of the door. For $28.99 they vacuum(not great) and wipe down the windows, and put some wax on the tires? As I'm driving away, I noticed more dust left on my dashboard, and run my finger across it and my hand is covered in dust and dirt.
