Fortunately for us, the weather was absolutely beautiful that day and so we were able to sit outside. They had set up a beautiful table for us with a happy anniversary banner and a happy anniversary balloon. It really made the moment very special for us. The staff were so kind to us the entire time. The outdoor space was so serene, and because we came early for afternoon tea - we had the entire space to ourselves which was perfect. The afternoon tea was delicious, the sandwiches were great, the pastries were great, and the desserts were great. My favorites from the menu were the cream cheese and dill pastries, the fancy ham and cheese finger sandwiches, and the eclairs. We also ordered two little Prosecco bottles to celebrate which were tasty. Everything was very reasonably priced as well, I highly recommend Old Music Shop for an afternoon tea!

It's located in Temple Bar, but it's no low-quality Temple Bar tourist trap. It immediately reminded me of one of our favorite restaurants back home in NYC's East Village (Saxon+Parole) - well designed, hip, great lighting and a busy buzz. We were seated promptly and ordered cocktails - one was great (Rosemary Old Fashioned) and the other, not so much (The Cleaver East signature cocktail - maybe it was off that night?). We decided to go ahead with the chef's selection tasting menu for 50 euros which, in retrospect, was worth every penny. I will say that every dish presented to us was beautiful and delicious. I don't think I can say one bad thing about the food. Highlights included a delicious goat cheese flan to start, an amazing duck breast and an excellent duo of desserts - six courses in total. To finish, we were presented with fresh chocolate pots with orange, which I thought was pretty damn uninventive upon initial inspection. I was wrong, however - I'm not sure what was in there, but it was the most delicious chocolate pot I've ever had. I wanted a second one before leaving. I think it's a solid 4-to-4.5 star review, but falls short of 5. Service was VERY friendly, but it was slow at times.
