    Sticky toffee pudding

This place had some of the best food I have had in Dublin. It's easy to access from the bus and light rail. They have extensive drink selection along with the best menu variety I've seen in Ireland. Highly recommend. I had the burger and sticky toffee pudding. The sticky toffee pudding was the best one I have ever had in my life.

Stopped in after the zoo for a couple of cold pints. Didn't try the food but the staff was very friendly here and made us laugh. The food coming out looked amazing. Hope to try before we depart Dublin.

2nd time here in the same trip which doesn't happen -because the burger was that good- tomato relish and a little char? Yes, please! Also the garlic mayo is amazing. Great, quick service today and some little tastes of whisky made for the perfect last day in Ireland!

I came here with my tour group for dinner on our first day in Ireland and it was pretty good for being one of my first meals in the country. The restaurant is really cool with lots of decor and art on the walls. Really fun to look around at everything. The service was good! They were friendly and quick. I ordered a cider, whatever they had on tap, and it was sooo tasty. It went well with the meal. For my entree I had the Irish beef stew and it was pretty good. It was a little salty for my taste but the dish was still yummy. For dessert I had a trio of little cakes! It was delicious and I liked the plating. Overall I liked this place a lot and i felt like the vibes were what I would expect of an Irish pub/restaurant.

My first meal in Ireland was a good option! The Irish Stew I had was plentiful and the mashed potato was delicious. Normally I do not eat mashed potatoes outside of the home, but this one was fresh, despite its heaviness. The gravy was great and it was a simple dish that worked well through and through. Hearing some American music throughout was a nice touch of home. Funny to hear in a foreign country, but it worked. Ask to hear the story about how the restaurant got its name. It is quite a story!

We stayed at the Ashling Hotel about a block away, the tour bus driver mentioned Nancy Hands and we decided to try it. We went the first time on April 28th, the eve of my 60th birthday. They had stopped serving food at 9pm, so we decided to have a couple pints and relax. Lee served us Guinness and we all talked for a bit, we also met Clare who is one of the servers, 2 really nice people, we spent about 3 hours there, just talking and drinking, such a great atmosphere and experience. We went back 2 more times before we went back home. The food is great, live music was good and the staff was top notch. If you are ever in Dublin we highly recommend Nancy Hands

Picked based on location from hotel and hoping for live music. Live music is on the non food side just fyi. It is seat yourself- we had fish & chips, Guinness stew and kid's burger. The stew was great! The fish in chips ok not as good as we have had at other places. The fish & chips was the most expensive we had the entire trip ...

This pub was an option for tour we were on; so glad we decided to include it in the tour. We had a private room and the atmosphere was very engaging. Food was delicious and staff was great!!

Great food and great service. We are upstairs. I guess it would be hard to fail in such an old established pub/restaurant. Even got a history on the restaurant and they taught me how to pull a Guinness. We were with a group so the lesson may not alway be available.

Within walking distance from the Ashling Hotel, this is a warm and cozy place to sit and visit or just relax after a long day of walking. Two floors offer ample seating inside, including a long bar, and there are a few tables outside as well. This place offers a few classic Irish dishes and an eclectic variety of other dishes too. We tried the daily soup special of Califlower and Cheese Soup, which was creamy and delicious.

The authentic Victorian setting, the Victorian mahogany fittings, the mosaic marble tiled floors and granite tabletops, the mahogany bar, capped with red Connemara marble, follows the classic Victorian architectural pattern. The staff are helpful, friendly and patient since their accent is hard to understand sometime. My 1st beer and 1st Irish food, all I can say is what a meal, just simple delish. Being here is just a wondrous experience, the place is cosy, warm and the friendly of the people. So glad I picked this place as my first of Dublin.

If you want to experience a true Victorian pub in Dublin, The Stag's Head is a beautiful place to…read morestart. Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.

Now theres nothing at all flashy about Brady's, which is kinda the point. This is no superpub. Its very much a local. The back room was opened up and the snugs taken out. Its modern and spacious and never feels too packed. The front room is a bit more lively and always busy on Friday and Saturday nights. This being south Dublin, expect to find the place wedged on a match day especially if Leinster are playing.
