Do people come here for their outstanding food menu? To be honest, not really. The main attraction of eating here is that you can eat and look around & admire the amazing infrastructure. They really did a great job of keeping the interior of the church while building a eye-catching bar right in the middle of it. It's a really unique concept. I was able to walk around inside and it's all really well-made. You can even walk alongside the organ on the 2nd level. I did dine here with a few friends on my first trip to Dublin. I noticed that their menu is definitely on the up charge (due to the popularity of this experience), which is understandable. I personally chose to get the 8oz prime angus burger. It was decent NYC priced burger, so I was okay paying the price. It also came with some fries which were good. I personally didn't come here with high expectations for the food, so I wasn't highly disappointed. I think it was nice just experiencing it once.

Great casual pit stop of a restaurant to stop by in Ireland! The service and food were pretty decent overall with prices that seemed in line with what you would expect from an establishment like this nowadays. The best food item we had was their stew, it was nice and hearty, though it needed a bit of extra seasoning along with some of the other food items. The interior of the restaurant is super cool and I think it's worth stopping by just to get a drink to admire the atmosphere.

I Stopped by The Church for oysters and drinks--this place was busy and clearly a popular spot. We were seated in the lower level, which unfortunately felt a bit like a dungeon and didn't quite capture the atmosphere we were hoping for. That said, the food and drinks were solid. We had a selection of 8 oysters, all incredibly fresh, and Irish coffees that were smooth and flavorful. The speculoos cookies served alongside were a great touch and paired perfectly with the coffees. After we finished eating, we went upstairs and finally got to admire the main church space--it was beautiful. Such a unique and fun way to honor the building's original architecture and history. Overall, while the downstairs seating was a bit of a letdown, the experience upstairs and the quality of the oysters and drinks made it a memorable visit which I'm glad we were able to see on our trip!

Went here for a quick late night bite after our first night in Dublin. My friend and I split fries and the Mango & Lime Chicken Wings. Typical bar food order but was pleasantly surprised by the tangy taste. I really enjoyed the wings! The fries were just very basic. We did get seated at an interesting table which you could definitely tell it was a church back in its day. There was music and dancers performing but because we were seated so far off in a little book, we couldn't see anything. Would have been nice to be seated closer to see the performers.

This was such a wonderful experience. I was able to get a coeliac menu and it had such great options! The live music and dancing made it such and entertaining night. The interior is absolutely stunning and it was a very high end experience. Staff was great and food and drinks were even better

This was a unique experience. Music, beer & burgers in a church. Very cool to see and do!! I will say: one of the best burgers I've had. The onion ring on it was immaculate and I almost ordered a whole order of them after tasting it!! The fries also just tasted *golden* they were so good. I also had a Guinness with black currant! Our server was so nice, she was the sweetest girl but I forgot her name sadly.

The place is absolutely gorgeous, as it is in a 300 year old church with an amazing organ up stairs is the best place to sit. we had dinner we both had fish and chips, can't say they were the best, but service and the atmosphere were pretty outstanding!!! dessert was quite delicious... peanut butter brownie

We just stopped in for a quick drink , so I didn't get a chance to try the food, but I was seriously impressed with their drinks. The cocktail menu is great; it's huge, creative, and they make them perfectly. The service at the bar was quick and friendly, and just sitting there soaking up the atmosphere is a unique experience in itself. Definitely worth popping in for a drink, even if you're not planning on a meal.

Trendy for a reason. Good food and live traditional music and dancing. Make a reservation and ask for a view or else many seats will not offer one though you can still hear it if you can't see it. There is also a large bar with a good view. I enjoyed the special of the day which was roasted half chicken and their dry aged steak was good as well.

Filet, shrimp, fries and crispy potatoes! When in Ireland double potatoes!

Food and service were great. The church ambience was cool even Taylor Swift ate here!

I love historic buildings, especially those that had a former life than what stands today. And The Church is just that. It's a historic church in Dublin that now serves as a restaurant and bar. I had a pleasant time here. I needed to find sustenance, so asked the concierge at my hotel for nearby eateries, which is how I found The Church. Walking distance from my hotel, I visited on a Thursday night and even then, it was lively and packed with people. But the space is large, so I lucked out on getting a table as soon as I walked in. But I didn't have the best seat in the house, which is the bar or upstairs where you can see everything, including the stage of the singers and dancers! They have traditional Irish music performed here with the traditional dance, which was so fun to see! What a treasure for me to experience this on my first night in Dublin. For food, the menu had everything I was looking for, which was traditional, comfort, Irish meals. I ordered the lamb stew and a mulled wine, which came with two minced pies for the season. The lamb stew was delicious, with tender pieces of lamb and roasted carrots and potatoes in a hearty stew. The mulled wine had spices to it and was nice and warm. After I ate, the server said I could walk around the restaurant (since I was asking so many questions about the building), so walked up to the second floor where you can see the organ pipes and all throughout the restaurant and bar. I recommend getting a seat upstairs that overlooks the place if you're able to. I had a fun time at The Church, and recommend anyone visiting Dublin to check out the traditional Irish music and food in this historic church.

Visited the Church bar in Dublin and highly recommend the tour with Irish coffee demonstration. We learned all about the history of the property including that Taylor Swift visited in 2011! Our tour guide did an incredible job providing fun stories and teaching us the techniques on how to make a traditional Irish coffee. The food in the restaurant was also delicious. Very unique experience in Dublin that I highly enjoyed.

The space is amazing and the service was great, but the food wasn't quite at the same level. The butter nut squash soup had great flavor with a hint of curry, but it was a little on the thin side. Appreciated the little house salad and the oysters were some of the best I've eaten. My wife ordered the salmon and I had the lamb stew. Of the two, the salmon was the better dish. The stew was more like a soup. The apple crumble was more like a tart, but flavorful nonetheless, just not crumbly.

Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.

It feels a bit weird writing a public review of a secret spot...but I can't gatekeep this spot!…read more The Blind Pig Speakeasy was one of our favorite spots while in Ireland, and it ranks high on our list for several reasons! They are situated in the base of a sister restaurant, so from the main entrance the only give away is the neon "shhh" sign that sits over the stairway. Once at the base of the stairs an unassuming bookcase/shelf appears. This honestly got us, as we had no clue this was the entrance at first. We wandered around and into the bathrooms expecting some cool bathroom stall entrance. It wasn't until someone came out from behind the bookcase that we figured it out! We did let the "door" close and played with the art on the wall, including the bronze pig head, which turned out to be the hidden lever! Legit already wowed before entering! Upon entry, you are legit transported into a small speakeasy with a few high tops, a cozy bar and a small dining room beyond the second archway. The walls are stone, the lighting is dim and moody, the woods are heavy, and the vibes are immaculate! We sampled a few house-made cocktails, got an appetizer and a few main dishes. Spent a total of close to 2 hours, which is standard and actually timed. Which makes sense and I like, it keeps things moving, on time and allows plenty of time to soak it all in! The Jolly Roger and Espresso Martini were my cocktails for the night. There was a clear theme with both, as stout and espresso were highlights in both. For the app, we went with the fritto misto, which is a combination of fried cheese and veggies. Our mains were both pasta dishes. They were light and simple, yet complex and robust. They were tasty and impressive! Service was stellar from entry to exit. The host's, bartenders and our server were all top notch, friendly, helpful and a joy to interact with! Oh, I do highly recommend reservations! They are a small and very in demand spot, so trying to walk-in is a bit risky. Overall, we absolutely loved our evening at The Blind Pig! Doesn't matter whether you wanna have food or drink here or not, but I would definitely recommend (in capital letters), have one drink here.
