While the restaurant not located near touristy area and requires a 25 min cab ride it is worse it in my opinion if you are a McGregor fan. Ambiance is great very, our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. Had fish and chips and pork belly both delicious. You have an option to purchase some merch right there. Some good spots for photo op as well. And if you get lucky you can spot the man himself.

This is my first time in Ireland, and to have the experience I did at The Black Forge added to the joy I've had since visiting the country. I recommend a dinner reservation even if for one, the place stays very busy! From start to finish service and my meal impeccable. I highly recommend also trying out there house stout! I ordered the 8oz steak which came on a hot black stone sizzling hot. The side of salt flakes and the brown sauce were incredibly good. At the end of my meal, I was able to take a pic with the UFC belt! The experience was great, I recommend this to anyone in Ireland for the first time!

Probably one of the most fun filled dining experience we have had in a very long time. The Black Forge Inn is owned by Connor McGregor of MMA fame. He fought Money Mayweather and lost. The restaurant has an ambience of top class Michelin Stars worthy look inside and the solo guitarist young singer's performance was very very outstanding. The night we were in the place was packed and had a celebrity from USA visiting other than myself. The US Rapper also sang one of his more popular Gangsta Paradise by Coolio. The young guitarist literally sang over forty songs all by rote memories. Our foods were Steaks from the best kitchen. Our drinks were Irish beer and whiskey . The fries, fillet and Sirloin steak on sizzling hot plates were fabulous. The service was fun and chaotic but we had the best time. Must go see and make a reservation two weeks out. Top five restaurants in Ireland.

Awesome experience! Food was top notch and it exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend making the trip if you're in Dublin. Lives up to the hype.

My husband and I are HUGE Conor McGregor fans and had to check out his restaurant/pub while we were visiting Dublin, Ireland. Our waitress was so very friendly and sweet. We ordered 4 drinks - (Can't remember the names), 1 appetizer - Goats Curd & Truffle, 2 entrees - Gnocchi and Irish Angus Beef Burger, 1 kids meal - Penne Pasta, and a dessert - Knickerbocker. The food was flavorful and the drinks were even better! We would definitely come back if we had the chance. One thing that was missing, was meeting McGregor.

    Lunch with a surprise!

Stopped in because we heard good things about the food. Got an unexpected surprise to see Mr. McGregor!

I hate to give this place such a low rating but we travelled all the way from Los Angeles to check this pub out since we are HUGE mcgregor fans, and we're disappointed by how unorganized everything was. First off we couldn't get a reservation through OpenTable because it was "offline" the whole day so we decided to chance it and go anyway, first of all nowhere is it stated that the kitchen is closed until 4:30pm. Also, 15 other people were having the same issue with opentable being "offline" but the staff kept telling everybody that we can only be seated to eat if we reserved through Opentable even after explaining the issues multiple times. The waitress was rude about the whole situation, I really don't know why, there were only 2 couples in the whole pub, it was pretty empty, and there was plenty of room to seat all of us. After all the frustration, they finally decided to seat us, but nobody came to take our order for food due to the chaos and miscommunication so we decided to leave. I was starving and so bummed because I really wanted to try the food and everything else the place had to offer. Sucky experience, bummed about the whole thing, wish things would've been differently. On a brighter note, the drinks were soooo tasty and the bartender let us sample the black forge stout, so that was nice.

The hospitality here was phenomenal. The aesthetics in the rooms to every employee there was so welcoming and made sure you were treated well. They let you take photos with mcgreggor's belt and made you feel like you won the belt. And the food was just delicious and the drinks were . Highly recommend when in Ireland.

Absolutely amazing pub experience. This is a world famous pub owned by the pride of Ireland, UFC champion Conor McGregor. The food was amazing. I had the steak filet which you cook on a hot stone at your table. Best steak I've had in years. The portobello mushrooms had such a nice firm texture you might mistake them for a steak. The pub itself has been renovated. It is nice, spacious, and clean. Also has nice outdoor seating too. One of the best parts is that Conor's UFC championship belt is on display and they allow you to take pictures with it. Staff was super friendly as well. Strongly recommend!

The authentic Victorian setting, the Victorian mahogany fittings, the mosaic marble tiled floors and granite tabletops, the mahogany bar, capped with red Connemara marble, follows the classic Victorian architectural pattern. The staff are helpful, friendly and patient since their accent is hard to understand sometime. My 1st beer and 1st Irish food, all I can say is what a meal, just simple delish. Being here is just a wondrous experience, the place is cosy, warm and the friendly of the people. So glad I picked this place as my first of Dublin.

Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.

Now theres nothing at all flashy about Brady's, which is kinda the point. This is no superpub. Its very much a local. The back room was opened up and the snugs taken out. Its modern and spacious and never feels too packed. The front room is a bit more lively and always busy on Friday and Saturday nights. This being south Dublin, expect to find the place wedged on a match day especially if Leinster are playing. We asked the driver for a lunch recommendation and he suggested Nancy Hands. It was a good recommendation. It was close to a stop so we hopped off and had lunch. The restrauant is very neat with a cool vibe. We arrived about 1 p.m. and had to sit at the bar for about ten minutes for a table to open up. The restrauant is not on the tourist path (think Temple Bar area). We may have been the only non-Irish in the restrauant. It is rich in history and has a traditional Irsh look and feel. We ordered a couple of beers. Jan ordered a Blue Moon and I ordered a Carlsberg Pilsner. The beer on tap selection is impressive. For lunch we ordered a couple of items to share. Jan picked fish and chips, I selected calamari. Both were good and we enjoyed our first meal in Dublin. The service was good, the prices moderate. Definitely recommend it is you want a restrauant/pub that's not full of Americans.
